How are you feeling?

Evening ladies :D

Kerpupples: that is a very long time to wait. That is crazy. And im not sure if you read my other posts but dh and I havnt reached the 2 times per week in over 10 years, in fact we have had sex about 5 times in the last 10 years so you arnt on your own x

Jayne thanks for what you said. Im now able to do more 'super sets' before iwant to throw up so good luck :D and that's so lovely that you would pick a name that you will call your daughter. I hope tue goes well

Blue: are you any less tired?

Blessed; that's wonderful, im thrilled for you x

Adkelp: oh that's just terrible, as this wasnt hard enough. Thank god they have offered a full cycle with no cost - i know it wont make up for it but its good they took some responsibility

Hopethisworks: oh that's fantastic

LauraN: congrats on being pupo

Gina: it was awful what happened and you were being so nice

Bodies: surprisingly my arms and legs are beginning to be less sore, I'll do another bootcamp tomorrow then walk on tue and training session with trainer on wed. He is 25, I feel ancient!!

Maria: how are you doing? Are you able to get some sleep and what is happening with your classes?

Leorira: of course your weekend is different :-)

Happy bunny that's wonderful news :-)

Christy: how are you?

Afm; was teaching today and it went really well thankfully. My workshop tends to be a mix of experiential mixed with theory which works well with pdychosexual and peoples reactions can be hilarious! Now we have my 16 month old nephew overnight which is great although I think he is dancing around his cot rather than sleeping!!

Bonnie, I am so thrilled to hear about your progress, the lining is so good! You will be bringing home those embibabies soon. The ET (embryo transfer) is the most exciting part, you'll get to see this miracle happening from the moment of conception.

Ninde, Thank you for always being thoughful and including everyone in your post. I commend you on that since this group has gotten so big! With me, feeling so tired here lately, but my labradors esp. Vegas is very vocal in the mornings making it tough to sleep in. In so many ways they are like kids to us. :)

Bodie, Thanks girl bears have always been a collectible, and it's fun to hear what everyone's personal hobbies/interests are.

I'm looking forward to reading more about everyone's personal favorites to see what we all have in common...So of course I created a list...Maybe copy and paste or edit to your liking. This is for everyone who wants to participate! I'll start... :D
1. Your Birthday? July 15
2. Favorite Hobby or Sport? Tennis and Sewing
3. Favorite food/chocolate? garden salad/Hershey's Almond
4. Best all time movie? The Notebook
5. Your dream vacation getaway? Yosemite National Park in CA, but out of the U.S. Paris!

Wow, sunshine, Yosemite is my favorite place on earth, too! It's simply magical. Before DS was born we used to go every 3 months. We need to go back there soon. Where do you stay when you go there?

I love Glacier point.

Lyd10, lol I should edit that to "places I someday hope to visit" because of the whole wide world yosemite is one place I would love to someday see! :D But when we do plan that dream vacation getaway I will be asking for your favorite spots, :D for now pictures and more daydreaming will have to do. Last year we visited San Francisco, CA drove into Somona and Nappa Valley, that side of CA is absolutely breath-taking and got to sample some of the best pino grigio ever! Yosemite is next on my list! D

Well, Yosemite will not disappoint. It is absolutely stunning. I recommend staying in the park at Yosemite lodge or Curry Village Both are centrally located and are reasonaly priced. You do have to book lodging there in advance. The park has become super popular.

Christy, Yosemite is pretty cool. I spent some time there while traveling. I didn't stay in the park because of logistics but I would recommend it if you can. That way you won't have to deal with driving in and out. It can be a long drive. I'm partial to Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park. It my favorite so far. It helps that I love close (within about 1.5 hr drive to the entrance).
Here are my answers.
1. Your Birthday? April 28
2. Favorite Hobby or Sport? Doing something crafty/running half marathons
3. Favorite food/chocolate? macaroni and cheese/dark chocolate with caramel
4. Best all time movie? The Green Mile
5. Your dream vacation getaway? Tour of Europe or Tahiti. As for in the homeland, I've been lots of places so it's tough to say. I would like to see Utah/New Mexico.

Gina- Are you f*ing kidding? I would have lost it. Kudos to you for keeping it together. I understand what Ninde said about it being her gift but really? How rude. I don't think I would be giving gifts like that again.

Tess- Where do you live? I don't think I have ever heard someone use the term "dressing gown".

Neffi- Yeah for the lining!

Leora- Good luck at your u/s. It will be fine. I understand your nightmares. I have been plagued with nightmares since childhood. I woke up screaming last night. Woohoo.

AFM- I'm not as tired. My change in meds is helping some. I didn't need a vicodin yesterday for headache so that is improvement. My nightmares are frequent and tend to increase when I am stressed or go to sleep with pain. But, I have had nightmares since childhood and realistically probably have PTSD from the frequent fighting in my household and being a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I get annoyed at the nightmares. They don't keep me from sleeping, but can exhaust me sometimes.
We had fun last night. We went to a billiards club downtown so I could practice my american sign language for class. The first friday of the month is Deaf night so lots of Deaf people and sign language students come out. It was fun and I got lots of good practice. It is nice to have some other things to think about than when to take what pill or shot.

Have a good night!

Wow! I had to go back 5 pages to find my last post! I've been reading to keep up, but lots has been happening!

Wendy (Tess) - you can't pay donors at all here in Israel (not even for the procedures). There used to be a law that only women ALREADY going through IVF could donate eggs - how crazy is that? They've changed it so that anyone can donate eggs, but only anonymously. I have a friend who has POF who is a waiting list for donor eggs. I offered to donate to her, but we can't do that. If someone would have asked me 5 years ago if I would ever consider donating my eggs, especially for free and especially to only anonymous strangers, I would definitely have said NO. Now that I've met so many women who would be great moms but need donated eggs to do that, I'm seriously considering donating eggs (after I have a living child of my own - it's too hard to give them away while I'm struggling to have my own). David is totally on board with the idea. I really hope I can do it. Image

our miscarriage was also "just one of those things" and that sucks.

Amanda - I wish I had a congressperson to write to! :D I hope that bill gets passed. I was a Republican (well... guess I still am!) and even I think the entire medical system in the USA needs an overhaul. There shouldn't be an "insurance system"... there should be a "health care system". Honestly, the system we have here is awesome. Every single person living here (citizen or not, Jew/Arab/Christian/whatever) of any age, with any "pre-existing" conditions is completely covered in the same way. All basic health care (general practioner visits, basic exams, lab tests, medications, etc) is covered as well as many other things (like our IVF). Of course, there are limitations (you can only switch doctors within a field every 3 months, etc) but it's so great. I hope the USA figures out that they are soooo backward in the health care system and that there is a president/congress combo strong enough to pass something through.

Patricia - oy. Celebrities. Ugh. How many 40+ celebs have had fraternal twins in the past few years and NOT admitted to fertility treatments? I love that Celine Dion and Mariah Carey are strong enough to be open about fertility struggles. I'm also so happy for Lily Allen, who had a baby girl last week after losing a son at 7 months gestation a few years ago. http://www.people.com/people/article/0, ... 27,00.html

Maria - I'm so sorry that you've been diagnosed with this. They are sure that this is what caused those two miscarriages? Any ideas about why you were able to carry your son to term? Is this a recent development or something you've had your whole life? I've heard Lovenox isn't so bad. If you are interested, I know there is a whole group on BBC's community (community.babycenter.com) called "Lovely Lovenox Ladies" if you have any questions.

Even with this news, all is on track for the FET?

Nac - I'm so sorry you are dealing with 'beta hell'. My betas were low (though not as low as yours) and things seem to be okay. I hope yours continue to rise. I don't have any answers for you -- just sympathy because I know the waiting SUCKS! Image

Lydia - HURRAY FOR STIMMING! I hope you are having fun sticking needles into yourself! :D Image

Nicole- I hope the Xanax takes the edge off. After we lost our first set of twins, I asked for some sedatives. They were much appreciated. That's so cool that you know ASL. Is someone close to you deaf?

Neffi - WOOOHOOOOO! YAY! Just 5 days until your transfer! Image

HopeThisWorksM - yay! That's fantastic! Image

Christy - wow, tickets to Jerry Seinfield sounds like an AWESOME gift! I'm always stumped over what to get my husband as a gift. Luckily, for Chanukah, we just do little gifts (like $10 or less) and gelt (money or those chocolate coins). For our anniversary, instead of getting each other gifts, we buy ourselves a gift, usually something for the house (furniture, artwork, etc).

your tree looks great!

Laura - YAY! Congrats on being PUPO. Welcome to crazy POAS town... I started at 6dp3dt - but I would recommend waiting until 9dp3dt... although I never can! Image

Bonnie - I've never been able to decide what is better to transfer, 1 or 2. As you can see in my signature, I had twins and lost twins TWICE. This time we transferred 1, because that's all we had frozen. If this is your first or second cycle, I would say 1. If more than that, I would say 2. Also, depends on how much you want to avoid twinning. Everyone wants to avoid twinning, but some (like me) have even stronger reasons to.

Amy (kerpupples) - still no report? Ugh. Can you start the FET meds before the report comes in, or not? If you could, you would be 'overlapping' the waiting time.

Amy (Jayne) - I love the name Jayne (spelled like that). I hope you get that daughter! I have a few girl's names I like (Daphne - but more likely we'll name after DH's grandmother "Rose", either Rose, or Rosa, or Roslyn or something). But I have so few boy's names I like. When we found out we were having twin boys, I panicked. I was so excited about boys, but I had such a hard time coming up with names! Micha was named after DH's grandfather (same as the English name Micah - pronounced with the harsh "ch" sound). Asaf's name means "harvest" and they were due to be born (or come home from the NICU) around Sukkot time, the harvest festival in Judaism - also known as "Chag HaAsif". The name Asaf can also come from the Hebrew word that means "additional" - so I thought that was appropriate for baby B! If we have another boy, I have NOOOOO idea what we'll name him!

Blessed - hurray! That's fantastic! Maybe your wonky betas were because of a twin who didn't make it. I'm so happy your little one is doing well! Image

Akdelp - WTF???? SERIOUSLY?? I would be so mad.

Barbara - that's great! I know you were nervous about twins too. When's your next scan?

Ilene (bodie) - #1 - beta at 17dpo = 450 (twins). #2 beta at 17dpo = 350 (singleton). #3 beta at 16dpo = 200 (twins). #4 beta at 16dpo = 122 (??) Kinda all over the place! My betas are exactly on track for a singleton, numberwise, but the doubling time is suppppeerr fast - 28 hours when it should be closer to 36 at least. So I'm worried that might be an indicator of twins. Kinda part of me hopes for surprise identical twins, but the rest of me is terrified about that! We'll find out tomorrow!

AFM - getting antsy about my u/s tomorrow! Hoping for good news.

I couldn't help myself and POAS again. Image It's not super super dark like I would expect it to be, but then again it's not the best 'sample' (TMI -- I peed when I woke up and forget to dip a stick - after my shower, I forced a tiny bit more pee to take the test - I'm guessing that the second pee wasn't as good...)

Image

here is the last one, for comparison

Image

looks okay, right? We'll find out tomorrow, I guess!

1. Your Birthday? July 31 - same as Harry Potter!
2. Favorite Hobby or Sport? singing, particularly performing in operas
3. Favorite food/chocolate? grilled cheese/milk chocolate with hazelnuts
4. Best all time movie? just one? hmmm... probably Disney's Cinderella. My favorite movie as a kid and I watch it every time I'm sick still!
5. Your dream vacation getaway? Athens, Greece or DisneyWorld!

Leora, disneyworld rocks! No, nobody close to me s dad. ASL has always been an interest. I'm a speech therapist and my school has the deaf program. I'm brushing up rusty skills so I don't need the interpreters.

okay - spotting stopped and cramping stopped.

Why can't this ever be easy?

I could call my clinic, but they would just say to come in for an u/s tomorrow, which I'm doing anyways.

Leora- Praying all will be great tomorrow!! I just know it will!!

Blue- I learned my lesson! That's for sure! If I could get it back now I would so DH would never know. She didn't even have it two days! Ugh.

Christy- What a cool gift!! My DH isn't too hard to buy for, well he kinda is since we get things we like throughout the year and he doesn't want much when the time comes. However my Dad is horrible to get gifts for. He only wants gift cards. I hate doing that all the time. Christmas gifts for my parents have pretty much turned into things they can use together or for their house. Can never find something just for HIM.

1. Your Birthday? March 5
2. Favorite Hobby or Sport? Gaming and anything with family
3. Favorite food/chocolate? I like too many diff foods! lol..... Hershey's choc covered almonds
4. Best all time movie? Too many but I'll say Phantom of The Opera. Also Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid etc :D
5. Your dream vacation getaway? Used to be Paris but we'll do that next year, so I'll say Yellow Stone National Park/Grand Canyon.
