Wow! I had to go back 5 pages to find my last post! I've been reading to keep up, but lots has been happening!
Wendy (Tess) - you can't pay donors at all here in Israel (not even for the procedures). There used to be a law that only women ALREADY going through IVF could donate eggs - how crazy is that? They've changed it so that anyone can donate eggs, but only anonymously. I have a friend who has POF who is a waiting list for donor eggs. I offered to donate to her, but we can't do that. If someone would have asked me 5 years ago if I would ever consider donating my eggs, especially for free and especially to only anonymous strangers, I would definitely have said NO. Now that I've met so many women who would be great moms but need donated eggs to do that, I'm seriously considering donating eggs (after I have a living child of my own - it's too hard to give them away while I'm struggling to have my own). David is totally on board with the idea. I really hope I can do it.
our miscarriage was also "just one of those things" and that sucks.
Amanda - I wish I had a congressperson to write to!

I hope that bill gets passed. I was a Republican (well... guess I still am!) and even I think the entire medical system in the USA needs an overhaul. There shouldn't be an "insurance system"... there should be a "health care system". Honestly, the system we have here is awesome. Every single person living here (citizen or not, Jew/Arab/Christian/whatever) of any age, with any "pre-existing" conditions is completely covered in the same way. All basic health care (general practioner visits, basic exams, lab tests, medications, etc) is covered as well as many other things (like our IVF). Of course, there are limitations (you can only switch doctors within a field every 3 months, etc) but it's so great. I hope the USA figures out that they are soooo backward in the health care system and that there is a president/congress combo strong enough to pass something through.
Patricia - oy. Celebrities. Ugh. How many 40+ celebs have had fraternal twins in the past few years and NOT admitted to fertility treatments? I love that Celine Dion and Mariah Carey are strong enough to be open about fertility struggles. I'm also so happy for Lily Allen, who had a baby girl last week after losing a son at 7 months gestation a few years ago.

Maria - I'm so sorry that you've been diagnosed with this. They are sure that this is what caused those two miscarriages? Any ideas about why you were able to carry your son to term? Is this a recent development or something you've had your whole life? I've heard Lovenox isn't so bad. If you are interested, I know there is a whole group on BBC's community (
community.babycenter.com) called "Lovely Lovenox Ladies" if you have any questions.
Even with this news, all is on track for the FET?
Nac - I'm so sorry you are dealing with 'beta hell'. My betas were low (though not as low as yours) and things seem to be okay. I hope yours continue to rise. I don't have any answers for you -- just sympathy because I know the waiting SUCKS!
Lydia - HURRAY FOR STIMMING! I hope you are having fun sticking needles into yourself!
Nicole- I hope the Xanax takes the edge off. After we lost our first set of twins, I asked for some sedatives. They were much appreciated. That's so cool that you know ASL. Is someone close to you deaf?
Neffi - WOOOHOOOOO! YAY! Just 5 days until your transfer!
HopeThisWorksM - yay! That's fantastic!
Christy - wow, tickets to Jerry Seinfield sounds like an AWESOME gift! I'm always stumped over what to get my husband as a gift. Luckily, for Chanukah, we just do little gifts (like $10 or less) and gelt (money or those chocolate coins). For our anniversary, instead of getting each other gifts, we buy ourselves a gift, usually something for the house (furniture, artwork, etc).
your tree looks great!
Laura - YAY! Congrats on being PUPO. Welcome to crazy POAS town... I started at 6dp3dt - but I would recommend waiting until 9dp3dt... although I never can!
Bonnie - I've never been able to decide what is better to transfer, 1 or 2. As you can see in my signature, I had twins and lost twins TWICE. This time we transferred 1, because that's all we had frozen. If this is your first or second cycle, I would say 1. If more than that, I would say 2. Also, depends on how much you want to avoid twinning. Everyone wants to avoid twinning, but some (like me) have even stronger reasons to.
Amy (kerpupples) - still no report? Ugh. Can you start the FET meds before the report comes in, or not? If you could, you would be 'overlapping' the waiting time.
Amy (Jayne) - I love the name Jayne (spelled like that). I hope you get that daughter! I have a few girl's names I like (Daphne - but more likely we'll name after DH's grandmother "Rose", either Rose, or Rosa, or Roslyn or something). But I have so few boy's names I like. When we found out we were having twin boys, I panicked. I was so excited about boys, but I had such a hard time coming up with names! Micha was named after DH's grandfather (same as the English name Micah - pronounced with the harsh "ch" sound). Asaf's name means "harvest" and they were due to be born (or come home from the NICU) around Sukkot time, the harvest festival in Judaism - also known as "Chag HaAsif". The name Asaf can also come from the Hebrew word that means "additional" - so I thought that was appropriate for baby B! If we have another boy, I have NOOOOO idea what we'll name him!
Blessed - hurray! That's fantastic! Maybe your wonky betas were because of a twin who didn't make it. I'm so happy your little one is doing well!
Akdelp - WTF???? SERIOUSLY?? I would be so mad.
Barbara - that's great! I know you were nervous about twins too. When's your next scan?
Ilene (bodie) - #1 - beta at 17dpo = 450 (twins). #2 beta at 17dpo = 350 (singleton). #3 beta at 16dpo = 200 (twins). #4 beta at 16dpo = 122 (??) Kinda all over the place! My betas are exactly on track for a singleton, numberwise, but the doubling time is suppppeerr fast - 28 hours when it should be closer to 36 at least. So I'm worried that might be an indicator of twins. Kinda part of me hopes for surprise identical twins, but the rest of me is terrified about that! We'll find out tomorrow!
AFM - getting antsy about my u/s tomorrow! Hoping for good news.
I couldn't help myself and POAS again.

It's not super super dark like I would expect it to be, but then again it's not the best 'sample' (TMI -- I peed when I woke up and forget to dip a stick - after my shower, I forced a tiny bit more pee to take the test - I'm guessing that the second pee wasn't as good...)
here is the last one, for comparison
looks okay, right? We'll find out tomorrow, I guess!
