Hi all.

Leora- I am so sorry that you have this going on. I'm praying that its not over just slow grower! Oh honey, I can't imagine how you feel right now. Wish I could hug you.

Jen-as I said in p.m., praying for you too. I'm really hoping its nothing.

We-how are you, how is ds? Still thinking of you both. How is Dh holding up?

Afm-nothing much going on ATM and that's a good thimg. We went to the house auction on Friday and they had canceled the sale! The people living in it had managed to pay what they owed and saved the loss. BUT! We are good friends with the couple who live on the adjoining property, the house was actually his grandmothers at one point. He some with the owners and she says she wants to sell! Woo hoo! We still have a shot. Plus we will get to see the inside and we had not been able to previously. I guess that's not customary when a property goes to auction (!?). Anyway, Dh thinks (and so do I) that we need to work on the house getting/fixing up/moving, and then we will cycle. Gods time, not mine.

Hi guys, it has been so long since I have posted (maybe almost 2 weeks), I am ashamed. I am sorry for not being more active, but I have been thinking of you all!

Leora and Jen - My heart hurts so much for you. I am still hopeful that things can turn out ok, but I know all of this uncertainty is sheer terror and heartache. You both are in my prayers. IF is so freaking ridiculously unfair. Big hugs to both of you.

We - First of all, I just wanted to let you know that you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers during this awful time. I hope brighter days are ahead in the very near future. I guess it is time for me to be updated in the roll call:) I got a +hpt on Nov 15 on 6dp5dt. Beta 1 was 308 on Nov 20 at 11dp5dt and beta 2 was 849 on Nov 22 at 13dp5dt. My first u/s on 12/4 at 6w2d showed 2 heartbeats!

AFM - I have been a nervous wreck the past few weeks. I never realized how traumatized I was by my missed miscarriage until I finally got pregnant again. It was really distressing still thinking I was pregnant and then not finding out until later on that the baby had stopped developing. This time around I find myself second guessing everything, wondering whether every little thing is a subtle sign that my pregnancy is doomed. Our first ultrasound yesterday at 6w2d showed 2 heartbeats (!!!) which was pretty amazing, but according to the ultrasound report, the u/s tech couldn't find baby B's yolk sac, which is a little worrisome. Very unusual (and not good) to have a heartbeat but no yolk sac, though the nurse and RE both think maybe it was just hidden. I am also measuring a few days behind. So, in short I am pretty psyched about the 2 heartbeats but I am also still feeling nervous and just hoping and praying everything will pan out. My next u/s will be in a week.

Leora, Jen & Happy Bunny- I am so sorry to hear that you guys are going through this. But, totally don't lose hope. I will be praying for you guys!

Rosie- Congrats for hearing the heartbeats. That is so exciting! I totally understand that you are a bit nervous and just assume things are going to go wrong...that is what sucks about the treatments sometimes, once something negative has happened, we just assume every little thing means that it will not work long term.

AFM- stayed in bed Friday and Saturday, then mostly stayed around the house yesterday other than to go to the church and the grocery store. Made some kickin' lasagna for dinner and then headed back to bed. So, I did pretty well over the weekend, but am trying to decide when I get to go start peeing on my sticks....hehehehe! Last time I didn't test until the Wednesday before my blood test, but I want to start testing earlier this time I think.... not sure. We will see how this week goes. Lots to do today, and then nothing until Friday, then it gets busy again. I go on Friday to check my estrogen and progesterone levels, then my beta is onthe 16th at 7:30 AM. Usually I have results by around 11 AM Central Standard Time. We are considering going out of town for Christmas and I'm super excited and scared at the same time to go. We would be going to my mother in laws and they don't know we are doing the IVF (long story short, according to her, we will be going to hell because it's supposidely against the church although our priest knows and is totally cool with it). And, of course we are assuming that the pregnancy test will come back positive again this time, and we are hoping/praying that the beta doubles appropriately this time, so by the time we left, we would have had maybe 3 beta's. But we probably won't say anything while we are there, because my DH would like to wait until much later to tell people. Anyways, I should probably stop worrying about all of that and just deal with it when it gets here. I guess it's time to get back to work. :P Everyone have a great day!

1. Your Birthday? April 28th
2. Favorite Hobby or Sport? Singing, Cross stitching, crafts, cooking
3. Favorite food/chocolate? Sushi and fried shrimp/chocolate....not a huge fan, but when I crave some, I LOVE 3 muskateer bars
4. Best all time movie? that changes by the week....I guess the Sound of Music or Fiddler on the Roof...classics that I just love, oh, Greese 2...
5. Your dream vacation getaway? I'm not sure I have a dream vacay.....I love to go anywhere with my DH....but I guess one of my favorites is going on cruises, and I could care less where to, I just love being on the boat (ok, I am a little addicted to the gambling on the boat too)

Leora- I have done some internet research for you and it seems that there are a lot of women that been in the same situation that you are facing right now....have you done an internal scan or an abd one? one girl mentioned that if you do an abdominal scan even if there is a geatational sac, this kind of scans, u/s might not show anything but the gest. sac is definately there. Also, there was this other case where she had a tilted (retroverted) uterus and that can make it hard to see the sac at early stage. I am praying HARD for you honey that everything goes well and your LO is doing great. hang in there and think positive! even the doctor said that there is still hope! I'l take his word for that! I am sending you (((((BIG HUGS)))))

Jen- any news honey? I am rooting for you and I have you in prayers! Hang in there! (((HUGS)))

Rosie- 2 HB's!!! That is awesome!!! I am so happy for you! you are living my dream!

Julia- sorry about the house...but glad that you have an alternative! you will have a lot to look forward, with fixing the house and planning/cooking a baby! how exciting! I wish you ALL THE BEST! :D

Sunshine- I love your bear tree! :D how are you doing?

We- How are you my friend? how's your cycle doing? any RE appt yet? ...How's your DS? give him time and space and he will come to you when he is ready to talk. ((HUGS))

Gina- Looks like your niece is giving you a hard time. try and keep your distance honey. you dont deserve to be hurt. Hopefully she will come to her senses once she has her baby. maybe the baby will make her appreciate life more.

1. Your Birthday? June 11th
2. Favorite Hobby or Sport? COOKING, painting, gardening, party planning, hand craft, interior design, snorkeling, vigorous walking, body rock, swimming, traveling, hand jobs, anything that needs a hand job in the house, I can fix it :D
3. Favorite food/chocolate? Spaghetti Bolognese/a good steak cooked medium rare, dark chocolate
4. Best all time movie? The Green mile/Shawshank redemption/the Goodfellas/City of Angels (all are my fav and I can't decide which is my best)
5. Your dream vacation getaway? I have been to a lot of places and I still have a lot on my list to visit but my fav vacation place is Thailland! I've been there twice already and I would love to go again and again. My dream vacation place is BORA BORA...(I am saving it for my honeymoon "tour" ) I am a huge fan of exotic places, with crystal clear waters and golden sand beaches with palm and coconut trees....my list of dream places is endless!

....maybe we should exchange our wish list and the list of places we've been to along with a visiting tip :D

LauraN- What day are you now PUPO girl? they say that usually it takes 10 days from the day of the trigger shot to clear from the body so after day 10 of thrigger you can go wild on the HPT's!!!! I can't wait to cheer you on the BFP! :D ...hey Lasagnia! I love that dish! actually i had friends coming over last Saturday and one of the dishes I made was Veggie Lasagnia covered with Bechamel sauce (some of my friends are vegeterians, hence the veggie...) and was yummyyyyyy!!!!! we had the last 2pcs last night with DH

...more personals later.....

Thanks for participating in the fun questions...I'm setting up a personal calender so we can celebrate birthdays on here! :D

Anton,
That is a great idea on "exchanging our wish list and the list of places we've been to along with a visiting tip too. Blue and Lyd10 wrote to me about their experiences in Yosemite and the idea places to stay I loved that! I also learned if something needs to repaired in my house I now know who to run to. :D Thanks for asking girl, I'm doing better. One of my coworkers has been having a rough Christmas season with missing her loved ones and then her sister's dog of 17 yrs passed away on Tuesday. I was moarning with her and my boss had to remind me that it's ok to be sympathic but we need keep the store morale up at the same time. Seriously, how do you do that? Well yesterday was "the turnaround" and a really great day for her at the store. A customer from New York was visiting here and she spent well over 1682.00 in clothes! It was like a scene in Pretty Women, she was the only cutomer in the store we gave her the best customer service! We kept building outfits and accessories everything with Chico merchandise over 38 items. My coworker got emotional because she started talking about her sister's dog (which was all she had left of her sister) at the register and the customer gave her a hug and shared a heartwarming story, that Sputz her beloved spitz is up in heaven looking down on her right now, she connected with this customer and continued talking....She wanted to make it a team sale and had started with all of our associate numbers in the computer but the girls wouldn't let her. Last night at the dinner party she brought in all of us a bouquet of flowers, I hugged her and saw my boss smiling over at the table, told her we emailed our district manager a kudos for this fabulous sale.

Leora,
I know you feel numb right now, but I believe that you and David must keep holding on strong and you will get through this time of uncertainity. This is a well-deserving miracle that is going to happen and I will never let you give up on your rainbow baby.

JenMInk, Rosie and HappyBunny,
I will keep you all in my prayers too. Anything worth having in life is never easy but continue to stay strong and we will conquer this with a newborn in our arms. This is our New Year Resolution for 2012!

Ninde,
I never understood the weight thing either because I pile everything on my salad including bacon bits and croutons and fatting dressing. Besides I can polish off a whole dish of New York cheesecake like you wouldn't believe...My metabolism is too high, but then my doctor recommended me to take Levothyroxin because my thyroid was in August borderline (for the clinic) but for the national average it's normal...Since August I have been on 50mcg of levothyroxine, and they will retest in February since the thyroid is one of the slowest functioning organs of the human body. For my dh, 2 yrs ago he was on thyroid medicine because his encrinologist thought his was thyroid is too high, go figure! The only thing I do know is the thyroid can control your weight, so have them check that out too. I used to worry about being underweight because it's a condition I've fought with all my life, but both REs have told me that as long as my cycles are regular, I shouldn't stress over it.

Kerri,
I feel alienated when I'm around family gathering and they talk about their kids. We try to tune it out but it's hard so we usually take a long walk together just the two of us, it's refreshing to get away from it all, yet we reconfirm each other that we aren't giving up on this dream by a long shot.

Julia,
Facebook friends officially! Leora had a great idea about all of us doing that over there. You are so right God's timing is always perfect so focus on the house right now. I'm glad you get to tour this one and I cannot wait to hear more upcoming details. Is your husband a fixer upper, if not ask Anton. lol I wish I could do more things around the house but alot of time is about trial and error. Of course I would never try anything electrical. lol

LaureN,
I don't know how long it takes for the Hcg shot to be completely out, could it vary? I know our doctors tell us not to test too soon b/c the trigger could alter the results...but I'm curious too!

Bonnie,
I'm not medically gifted but is extraction the same thing as embryo retrieval? Anyway hope you will elaborate, I'm still learning new terminolgy everyday. :D Nevertheless I wish you the very best outcome with this upcoming surgery!

AFM: Must get some breakfast and finish the yard decorations now that it's 75 degrees in Florida, definately not a typical December day. I'll be back for more personals in a bit. :D

Hi Leora - i am so sorry this is happening. Its' not over yet - but it is so hard to go through this roller coaster. Unfortunately, i went through exact same thing my last FET cycle in August. I wish i had good news to share with you - but mine didnt end well. However, my doc kept telling me that there are cases where everything works out just fine and that its not over till its over. I am keeping my fingers crossed that you are one of those cases - and everything will work out just fine and you'll see your sac on wednesday and h/b shortly thereafter.
As we all know, the waiting and the roller coasters are the hardest part of this IVF business. the shots are nothing compared to this emotional up and down. Maybe that's a good thing that you are feeling numb right now - maybe that's your body's way of protecting you. Wishing you to get some peace and rest until wednesday! i know its easier sad then done, but please try!

AFM, just doing my shots. my first SnS is on wednesday. Until then just doing my 150 follistin and 1 vial of menopur. from my past 2 cycles they will probably up my menopur to 2 vials after Wednesday.

Lyd- I'll be doing menopur on my next cycle. Any side effects you've noticed?

Sunshine-its going to be great thinking of something aside from ivf for a change! No, my husband is a robotics engineer, I don't think he has a ton of experience in home fixing up but we should muddle through ok! I am doing much better emotionally for the last couple of days. I only cried once this past weekend! It was at least once a day tho so this is much better. This house will be a welcome distraction! So excited about all the new Facebook friends!

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. The family has been through a lot this year. To top it off DH has a broken wrist. It has been broken since Sept 11! He went to the ER the next day to be told it was a small sprang. Well it kept hurt and with all his other appointments he couldn't get in until today. It's broke so bad they have to take some bone from his forearm to replace it on the wrist! Then they'll put a screw in he'll have forever. He gets this done Jan 18 because they are booked up! Only good thing is free leave for him for 3 weeks.

My Niece seems to have a plan so we will see. She wants to be a stay at home Mom but she will find that won't be possible but I didn't say anything. My parents are upset but it will all hopefully be okay. I'm still in shock about it and makes me feel worse about my issues.

We keep getting turned down for loans but I emailed our bank and told them how disappointed they have made us and said to apply with a co-signer. Don't know what we make our truck payment with them every time! Five payments left too. Well I don't have a co-signer. My Dad is against that sort of thing and that was our only choice to help. Trying our the place my (hope to be place we'll use) recommended. You apply once you get a RE assigned but want to try and get pre-approved so I don't get excited only to be turned down.

So ready for 2012!!

Good evening ladies, this has been justba wretched day on this board and i have felt sad all day.

Leorira: you are probably asleep by now, and i really hope you got to rest. I think anton's research about the type of scan is relevant. Thedoctor who did my second scan said that below 7 weeks you very often see nothing on an abdominal scan. I hope you are ok.

Tess: how are you doing? Im sure its tough for you with what's going on in your own life at the moment it must be hard to hear what's going on for others too. Im really sorry this is happening to you and I hope friday's blood test shows that things are good and its neither ectopic or chemical x Thanks for your advice on weight loss, only problem is im currently on a no processed food nutritional plan which is protein based, very low fat, veg at each meal including breakfast and no sugar so I dont know what other lifestyle changes I can make.

Jenmink: how are you doing?

Fruit: I know what you mean and im sorry you feel so sad but I totally understand. How is your own journey going?

Maria: how are you?

Kerri: that's a wonderful story about your sister in law. Im so sorry your family gathering was so hard and it must have been excruciating to sit through all those stories.

Julia: that's great about the house :D

Happybunny: oh im so sorry, you must be up the wall. Did you hear from your clinic?

Rosie: im so sorry, this day just gets worse. But im so glad you heard heartbeats, I hope that gives you some hope x

Anton: wow you really love doing activity sports dont you?

LauraN: so you are a gambler? :P

Amanda: was work any quieter?

Christy: unfortunately or fortunately depending on your perspective my thyroid is fine, I've even had it subclinically checked. I have probably messed up my metabolism from years of dieting :(

Bonnie: how are you doing?

Bodie and blessed: how are you both?

Afm: im thinking of everyone, like fruit said, the women on this forum are incredible, powerful and inspiring. May we continue to support each other and care for each other x
