Neffi- So happy you got the lining number you needed!

Bunny- Yay for one bean! HB u/s is so excited, I know you can't wait!

Alexis- good luck on transfer tomorrow!

AFM - just pulled out the big box of meds and did my first stim injections tonight! 3 separate injections at a minimum (sometimes 4 when the follistim is almost out). The menopur needle slices me, I don't like that one. I also noticed that they sent me IM progesterone, which I have never done and don't plan to do. I have always used crinone gel. I emailed the med lady and asked her to order crinone. I am a big baby, no way can I do those IM needles!

I can't believe I am on my way again! So nervous and not looking forward to DH's tese or my ER. It is going to be a tough recovery for both of us. I am using every free second I have to do sub plans at work for when I am out. Last time I was out for a week. I dread the thought of falling behind at work with my kids, especially before christmas break. They are going to forget everything I taught them by the time they come back in January!

Hi Michelle, congrats on starting! We are on the same schedule, I started Friday as well. I can feel the hormones already. I've snappat my dad this weekend. Urgg. My target ER is Dec 15.
We are currently at one of many Christmas events this month. They bring in snow to san Diego for the loss to play with. It's fun.

Lots of great news on Friday!

Neffi, I'm SO glad you lining number went up and is sufficient for your transfer! That is WONDERFUL news!!! :D Also, amazing you were contacted about a potential adoption too. Is this the same birth mother from before or a new one?

Kerpupples (Amy), did you every get your biopsy results back?? Thinking of you!

Michele, awesome you started your stims! Keep us posted on your ER date as you get closer. I hope everything goes smoothly for your husband and you. Have your past ERs been really tough to recover from?

LYD10, glad you are on the Stim train too! It always feels good to be starting a new cycle again; I sure hope this one is it for you!

Barbara, that's great that you are getting settled with your exciting news. 1 wonderful embryo is perfect! It is so scary transferring a higher number knowing there would be a risk of all of them taking! I know I worry about that! I hope you continue to feel good and keep us updated.

There has been so much good news here over the last week...I hope we keep the good "mojo" going!!

AFM, I had my 3day transfer of 3 embryos on Saturday. Getting the catheter placed this time was much more uncomfortable than before and I had a little cramping. Before, I don't remember it being uncomfortable at all. We had 5 embryos left (out of the 6 that fertilized originally. 8 eggs total, but 2 were immature). We've never had any embryos make it to freeze, so I don't think we will this time either. It was scary transferring 3 embryos, but we'll see what happens! I really feel like we are gambling with some of the risks we take on!! I've been taking it easy this week (napped when my son napped both days), so I'm so hopeful this will be a successful cycle.

Keep the updates coming and baby dust to all!

LYD10, they didn't give me any lifting restrictions after my transfer, so I have been lifting my son. Are you instructed not to lift your son after transfers?? The only restrictions they gave were no strenuous exercise or bouncing for the first few days (and no sex of course). I hope it's ok I've been lifting my son!

I started spotting on Saturday and am freaking out. My clinic opens in a few minutes, I'm going to call the nurse line. Hopefully, they will see me today.

Best wishes to all. No personals now, I'm too shaky and scared.

Hi Barbara. I'm so sorry to hear about the spotting, but I bet it's pretty normal. There have been so many posts about spotting being normal. Of course, it's always a good idea to call your doctor's office and hear it from them :D I had spotting with my pregnancy at about 6 weeks or so (it was the day after I had resumed sex...), but everything ended up being fine. Have you heard back from the MD yet? Thinking of you...

Hi Alexis - i think lifting your son is fine. i am planning on doing the same. unfortunately, the nurse does give me the stupid instructions of not lifiting anything greater than 10lb. but i talked to the doc and the embryologyst about how impossible that is with my 30 lb son - and they said its fine - maybe try to do it a little less. when my DH is around i ask him to get my DS in and out of the car seat and chair. but i dont think any of this matters frankly. i've had 3 attempt last year and lifted to some degree with all of them - and was pregnant twice - allbeit ectopic and a chemical ( MC) - but it obviously didnt interfer with implantation. with the ectopic i did ask my doc if it was due to lifting per chance that my embryo ended up in teh tube - but he said no - he said it was during the transfer or right after it. so he sort of took the blame on himself for placing the embie too close to the tube. but it was his only ectopic in 20 years he's been doing this - so i dont blame him. he is super careful.

i do hate the isntructions that say 72 hours of bedrest and other unreasonable things for working moms with a child already. i am going to work the day after my transfer because i have to. and i told them as much and they said before that its fine. and from what i can tell - most clinics dont recommend such extended bedrests anymore because there is no evidence for it.

*whew* I just got back from the doctor... Everything is okay! There was no sign of any current bleeding and there were no clots in my uterus. The doctor said that the bleed was likely from blood vessels opening up as the placenta grows on the uterine wall - he said that a little blood must have escaped. I even got a bonus... A little flicker! It's early, but the heart was beating! The doctor said that it is too early to time it but we watched it flicker on the screen.

I have never felt so relieved in my life. Literally, I feel like a massive, crushing weight has been lifted off of my chest.

Damn bleeds... They are enough to give a person a heart attack. And why do they always happen on the weekend?

Hey everyone,

Barbara- spotting is always scary, but glad to hear everything is ok!

LYD10- wow, same schedule! December 15 is a possibility for me too, but if I am like all my other cycles, I anticipate the 14th. How are you feeling? What stims are you on?

Alexis- my first ER (when I got pregnant with Ella) was not that bad. If I remember, I was fine by my 3dt. The 2nd one, I don't remember being that bad either. But my last one this past april, it was horrible! I was in excrutiating pain the first 3 days and still very sore up until a week after ER! I was devastated I had no embryos to transfer, but I almost wonder if it was a good thing. Not sure they would have done the transfer with how much pain I was still in. I am praying this time is not like last time!

I had my first monitoring appt today. Lining was at 6. They saw 12 on the right and 5 on the left. That is good b/c the left is the side they couldn't get last time. She said it was not as hard as it usually is to see today (my left side, scar tissue), but I can feel the difference and know they will have trouble again. I am just hoping for big numbers on the right!

I am feeling a bit yuck today. Over the weekend, I had some vivid dreams and heart racing, which is normal for me on these meds. Today I actually thought I felt a big bloated this morning (very early in stims to feel that way!) and all day I just felt tired. That is not good, I have at least this whole week and another couple days next week to get through work!

Even though my posts are not very frequent, i am thinking about all of you, especially everynight when I feel like a junkie stabbing myself! LOL

Hi Michelle, I am glad the majority of your follicles is on your good side. That's awesome! And hopefully they can get to both sides.
I am feeling ok. Thanks for asking. I am feeling constipated and bloated but it's from doxycycline. I ve started taking Colace and probiotics to help with that. Other than that I am feeling moody, emotional and hungry when I shouldn't be. So your typical standard hormone response. Oh joy :) my first u/s is Wednesday. I typically develop slow. My ER will be on 15th at the earliest. Maybe 16th we ll see.

Forgot to mention I am on follistim and menopur. It's a Lupron cycle.

ALexis-- congrats on your transfer. We always transferred three when we did fresh cycles because our embryos were never great quality. This time we will only be transferring two since they are both excellent donor embryos. Yes, this is a new birthmother that has contacted us. She is due in April and is finding out the sex Wed. She said the only bump in the road may be the husband. They are going through a divorce. So we'll see if she picks us. We have been emailing since Thursday and things are looking good so far.

Michele-- glad to hear you are doing well. Dec 15th will be here before you know it and we will be announcing our BFPs soon.

AFM- started PIO shots last night UGH. Transfer on Friday! This week is going to be so long!

Neffi: Good news on the possible adoption and your lining improvement! Wouldn't it be something if both paths worked out? You'd be knee deep in babies!

Michele: Best wishes for an awesome cycle start! It sounds like you have a great # of eggs! How fantastic to start off with 17!

LYD: How exciting that you are started! If your schedule shifts just a little, you might be getting your beta at the turn of the year!

Alexis: I did 3 on Day 3 as well. At first, I was concerned about my decision but now that I'm pregnant with one, I wonder if the extra one I put in was the one that made it. Also, are you going to POAS?

AFM: I'm doing good... Cruising right along. After this, I'm probably going to develop a bathroom phobia because I'm still terrified of seeing blood every time that I go in there. Seriously, I even wake up at night because I am afraid that I might be bleeding.

Also... #2 diapers and morning/all day sickness are not a good combo.
