Jen- I had no issues in the beginning and the RE said to wait until 10 weeks. But given your SCH I would ask the OB. We were so timid in the beginning and then realized how silly that was in the second trimester. Of course now we are on pelvic rest...I am not sure we will have sex at all in future pregnancies. Hee Hee...I am sure it is not the cause of my bleeding but I think my last two episodes scared me away from it for life.

Felicia- I was quite thin and I stopped using my monitor until I was 15 weeks. I could find the HB at 12 weeks but it would stress me out and it sometimes took more than 30 minutes which is more than you should use it in one sitting. At 15 weeks it still took work to find it, and again that is when I had almost no fat on my belly. I would put it away, and only try it once a week until you can find it regularly. And be realistic about how you let it affect you. You cannot let it get to you! Oh- and you will find the HB much, much lower than what you might think. That early on in pregnancy the HB was below the pelvic bone. Angle the doppler downward and move around in small circles. Good luck and stay positive!

Yingz- sounds like you are ready for take off! Glad everything is falling into place. I am sure you have more time.

AFM- Our 8 week remodel that turned into an 11 week remodel is pretty much done! Carpet, which is the last big thing, was installed yesterday and our wood floors we refinished also received their final coat. I am so excited for the weekend and putting everything back together again. Its really difficult not to help DH with it though.

I hosted my monthly in person meeting and holiday party with my management team on Thursday- from my bed! I invited partners in to present in the morning, and led a discussion in the afternoon by phone while my assistant facilitated the in person part. We had a white elephant exchange and I delivered their gifts to them. It was great but when I dropped off the line I realized that they had not presented me a gift from the team like they usually do and I was surprised. However our company just instituted this very strict non-solicit policy which has scared a lot of people off from doing collections for group gifts. I chalked it up to that and let it go.

Well...last night my local manager dropped off 16 baby gifts for me, Evelyn, and DH! Turns out they decided to do individual gifts because of the non solicit and that they had been planning a shower for me all along. It was so fun for me and DH to have our own little private shower. I love my job and I love my team. They are geographically spread out, so I won't see most of them until I return from leave in April. Weird...and a little sad.

Thanks for the advice on sex. I think I am going to wait till probably 14-15 weeks. I am scared to go #2 let alone have something up 'there' -sorry for being blunt LOL.

Felicia-- I am sorry you dealt with a bleed too. Isn't it the most nerve racking thing in the entire world!! I am nervous just like you. I am still not secure that I will hold this baby in my arms come July so most days I try not to think too much about it. Congrats on 2 weeks blood free! Today will be my 4th day and I am so happy!

Bliss- So what did you get from your co-workers!!?? What do you do for a living? I seem to remember that you traveled alot?

To everybody else I wish you a fantastic weekend!! I have another U/S on Monday, the last with my RE. I am excited but nervous because U/S's bring a lot of stress. Worry that the HB will be gone or something like that. I almost don't want to go but DH is insisting that we do *sigh*....

Oh Jen- you poor thing! I remember those days so well. It is so hard to believe we are actually finally pregnant after all we have been through that we are just waiting for the other shoe to fall. It does get better. Don't get me wrong, I am still scared as heck, especially with all our issues recently, but it does get better.

My coworkers bought us the infant carrier we wanted, blankets, lots of layette sets and other cute clothes, photo albums, tons of books, a boppy pillow, an activity gym, and diaper bag accessories. It was pretty awesome.

I am a regional manager for PNC bank and I cover all of Northwest Michigan. My region is huge (5 hours along the west coast of Lake Michigan). Add to that the monthly market meetings, conferences and such and I travel quite a bit.

My favorite gift was an adorable ceramic piggy bank...how perfect is that from one banker to another?

Bliss- how funny! I am a Regional Manager for a huge Credit Union out here in California! That's cool we are in the same line of work and have the same title!!!

That's cool! Which credit union? I am attending the CBA's Graduate School of Retail Banking and there are a few large credit unions in the program with us.

Jen: I'm sure your u/s will go fine . . . I wish I could tell you that you stop worrying in the 2nd trimester, but then there's the third triemster, and then the delivery, and the infancy, and then toddlerhood, and then childhood, and then adolescence....ahhhhhh! You never stop worrying Oh, motherhood! I will say that I did ease up a little in the second trimester . . .

AFM: DH took DD down to San Diego until tomorrow to visit my in-laws, so I have been home alone all day! I got my hair done, got a pregnancy massage (Heaven!), and did some shopping. I even get to sleep in tomorrow! I miss them like crazy, but I haven't had a whole day to myself in ... well....at least 19 months! Oh, let's see if I can upload a bump pic . . . 32 weeks!

Spotting AGAIN-- O M G !!!!!!!!!!! I made it 5 days almost to the hour and then blood.....
Tomorrow is the 9 week U/S- last with my RE and I am almost scared to go. I honestly don't know what I will do if I have bad news. Why does this have to be so hard!!!???

Jen, I bled/spotted the first trimester of both pregnancies, and it is more common than you think! Take a deep breath. You will see tomorrow that everything is just fine. I know how scary it is, but I also came out the other side of it, so I also know that it is okay.

Jen: I'm spotting again too... For the last 4 days. I'm extremely depressed about it and feel like I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. My next scan is on Friday. I'll be thinking of you today.

Jen/Happy Bunny: I know this is a scary time. I bled with my DD and even more so with this pregnancy . . . My last bleeding episode was the worst (around 9 weeks) and I bled on and off in the same day (3 different times!) . . . so powerless and scary and it sucks . . . but I got through it and I now you will too! Drink some water, rest on your left side (if you can), and try not to worry . . . your little guys just miss you and want you to see them on the u/s . . . hang in there!
