My last two IVF cycles have ended in chemical pregnancies. During the first my hcg level never rose above above 50 my second rose to 780 then dropped fast. I had a sonohystergram (sorry if spelled wrong) and they found 2cm of possible scar tissue. They are sending me to have a hysterocopy to identify and remove the tissue. Has anyone experienced something similar? Could the chemicals have caused the scar tissue or is it more likely the scar tissue was there and has been causing the chemicals? I had a hysterocopy in Feb 11 to remove a polyp so I know my uterus was good at that point. Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can share
Thanks for your response leorira11
My RE thinks it is too premature to do rpl testing right now. He thinks our losses were due to chromosomal abnormalities. I am hoping we will have better luck after the hysterocopy. If we have another loss I will push for rpl testing. I hope we both get lucky soon!
does your doctor think that you (or your husband) could have a chromosomal abnormality that you are passing down? (try 'google'ing balanced/unbalanced translocations). My doctor is doing full genetic workups on both me and my husband after all our losses (although it's doubtful that we have a balanced/unbalanced translocation, because I've carred 4 of my 6 babies into the second trimester and lost them only to prematurity).
Best of luck - and come join us on the Winter 2011 thread -- I know it's overwhelming to jump in when we all seem to 'know' each other, but you'll fit it!

I have never heard of translocations I will definitely look it up. My doc thinks its from poor egg quality even though we have perfect looking, high implantation potential embies on day 3. Right now my husband and I are skeptical but we trust him so we are going with his recommendations on how to move forward for now. I am so sorry for all your losses. You are so strong I can't imagine going through all that you have been through. I will look into the Winter 2011 thread
