OMG LauraN, Congratulations! That is so awesome! No wonder you are in such a good mood this morning :) my ER is st 10am so I'll post in the afternoon. I am a little scared about going under but it should be ok.

Leora, I think it's amazing how fast you can start the new cycle. They are not even making you skip a cycle.that is awesome. And you don't do Lupron suppression first? Right in to stims? Wow! That is super fast. Awesome!

Well, D&C will most likely be this Friday and they will do genetic testing. Family and doctors have been real positive and all are saying this is going to work. Makes us feel more confident and better. Ill post results after test are completed in a few weeks...

Thanks for the positive thoughts! Unfortunately it was exactly what I thought NO. :( I had prepared myself for a negative outcome, but over the past few days little rays of hope had started to creep into my head. The doctor had said he thought it would be an easy fix but guess what NOT TRUE. I'm so mad right now!!!!!!! On the phone today he said it was an egg quality problem. I have no idea how you can improve that. We have cycle review on thurs. so I will see what he has to say then.
Any ideas on how long it takes to start a period after stopping all meds? I'm just praying I don't have a cyst this time.
I hope all of you waiting for your positives get them bc nobody deserves to go through all of this when all we want is to be a loving mom!!

Hopefulmommy - sorry you did not get the news you were hoping for. :( I also have an egg quality problem and found that acupuncture and CoQ10 supplements helped me get two "good" embryos, although it took a while for everything to start making a difference. My RE had a "banking" program that let you do multiple egg retreivals with PGD testing, and then a FET once a few good embryos were saved up. Maybe yours has a similar program?

AFM - All looked good on today's U/S. Saw the two little girls swimming around in there. One even waved, hehe.

Happy Bunny wrote:Gina! I didn't know that you were a military family... A few things.

One, you can get free IVF but you have to go to a military office, most likely in the states. You have to pay for your own travel and lodging (but that's probably not bad if you stay on base). There is one military clinic that has OUTSTANDING success rates.

Second, they will pay for all your ultrasounds, consults, blood work, semen analysis and some medications (just not IVF specific meds, primarily FSH). There's a little co-pay on the covered meds because they usually don't carry them on base.

I have Tricare Prime and it doesn't cover everything but it does help and will put your goal closer to your reach.

Tricare won't pay for the actual IVF procedure. I know the b/w, exams, some meds though which dies help. Walter Reed closed down. Trippler in Hawaii, is a 2 y/wait. Not sure about the other 2. We couldn't even get a free IUI in ky. Went off post for that. They did cover the trigger, exams, b/w. So hard though with no refund promises...ugh. Guess if you can get lots of eggs to freeze it's better.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. Not giving up but don't like the 2+ year wait! We do plan to use tax money which will probably be around $6,000 over the next two years.

If only my Dad would co-sign. Even then I'm not sure if they would. He has retired now. They do fine so far without social security though. I just don't feel right to ask and from our conversations before I don't think he cares for me to try IVF. I was given a Dr off base in Hawaii that was a Dr with them. It's $7500 there. Still so much to lose if it doesn't work. Can't save up those amounts easy. Hopefully DH will get that awesome job with the railroad next year when he gets out!

Hi ladies, I m back from ER. They got 10 eggs, which is normal for me. They got 11 when I was 39 and 13 when I was 37 but only 10 were mature. Everyone wished me happy 40th bday in that office. So nice of them to notice! The best news was my DH sperm count and quality went up. So those suppliments worked! I have Ester, Moorebaby, to thank for that. Her DH results inspired me to get my DH on suppliments diligently. His count this time was 7m vs 2m last time. And his morphology this time was 7% vs 1% last time. Thanks, Ester! If you are reading this!

Now just wait for fertilization report tomorrow and decide if we transfer or freeze. My E2 was 2300 today. So it probably peaked at under 4000, which is not that bad.

JenMink, your drama bean will soon be your miracle baby. I'm so glad you are doing well!

Laura,
OMG How awesome definately stock up and keep poasing...and of course update us everyday! Sooo incredibly exciting, the best news all week!

Anton,
Thanks girl. Actually this coworker was referring to a nurse who worked for my old RE. This nurse remembered me being so complicated. I asked my friend at work today if she found out the nurse's name she said no and asked if I ever called to set up an appointment. I said not sure what we are going to do at this point, but certainly don't want the drama. Dh is so focused on getting his truck paid off (that he has been putting off since last year)...I'm going to try to start saving money for more IVF treatment, but I promise you it's not over and I'm hanging on with you.

Gina,
I can relate to what your going through with the outrageous cost of everything, maybe an IVF ATTAIN REFUND program would be another option you might want to look into, they offer financing options as well. I understand your personal preferance for wanting a sibbling for your son, you should definately pursue that.

Ninde,
Thanks for remembering and thinking of me, I was a little bummed in the beginning but it's not over yet. I really feel we have much in store for the new year! Awww snow in Ireland that must be so beautiful! I would love to see a picture of your tree! I've been wrapping presents and listening to celtic music tonight.

Lyd10,
Your ER results look very optimistic. I'm glad your ds had an improvement, if you don't mind me asking what suppliments did he take? My RE recommended my dh to take the Ulitmate Man and he works out regularly but has inconsistant S/A.

AFM: Trying to get ready for our family Christmas traveling back to Alabama soon. :)
