Kat- congrats!!!! Sounds like Lucas was a very healthy little guy and that things went well with the section. Hope you are recovering quickly. Can't wait to see pictures!!!

Poll for EOE- went back for 6wk check-up today and OB asked about contraception. I laughed about the idea of taking birth control after everything we went through to get these girls, but of course he continued on to tell the infamous story about the patient who went through multiple rounds of ivf and got pregnant naturally after giving birth. I still don't think its likely but what are your opinions?

Ashley: Athena is adorable!! Love the expression on her face. :)

NWQuiz: Good luck tomorrow on cervix check! And you are right...it does seem just yesterday that we were cycling and worried about beta levels, etc. And now, here we are. It is truly amazing and a blessing. And congrats on DH’s Masters...that is awesome!!!

Kat: Woohoo!! Congratulations!! So glad to hear that Lucas is here and all is well. I can't remember how long it was before I could move my legs but it felt like eternity because I couldn't see my babies until then. So happy that surgery went well for you. Pictures when you can!! :D :D

Blair: Glad that all your appts went well. It is quite a challenge to run around to appts with two LO's isn't it? Regarding your question about birth control: I laughed at my OB when he gave me that speech as well. For me it is even less likely than with you...I am 44 and only have one tube and have endometriosis so my other tube is likely scarred up. If I were to have one "good" egg....and it was on the side with a tube, and it didn't get stuck in tube, and we timed sex perfectly I guess there is a "chance" we could get preggo. Ha. We would embrace it after I fainted in amazement. I am also exclusively BFing which limits chances of ovulation to begin with. Me? Um. Not gonna 'worry' about birth control.

Kat- congrats! Can't wait to see pics.

Blair- happened to a friend. Twins via ivf, laughed at doc when contraception came up... Got pregnant when her twins were 6 wks and ended up with twins born in november and another born in august. They all are in the same grade because the school cut off is september and they wouldn't take the twins early. The third kid is gifted and she didn't have the heart to hold him back. Crazy. So if you definitely don't want a third right away... Use the birth control. Lol.

It depends on your diagnosis... If there's a chance, and you are not ready for more babies then I'd use birth control. Ya never know, pregnancy does odd things to your body. Personally, I've got no tubes so I'll never be using birth control.

Kat: Congrats! And what a big, healthy weight for an early baby!

A couple of new pics of Chloé.

Sorry I haven't been posting much. I've been super busy due to the holidays. I really don't like this time of year because of all the shopping and preparations that go into it. Ugh. My DH's family is impossible!

Blair...happened to my cousin. IVF baby, 10 weeks later preggo again! As for me, I've never gotten AF on my own. It was either bcp induced or provera induced. Since I've had the twins I've gotten it every month exactly on time (4 in a row!!!!). Since I seem to be regular for the moment I was against any more hormones, but DH and I are using condoms because I just am not ready for another yet. We figure if we get preggo through condoms and my past infertility then that would be a baby destined to be born!!!! My aunt (who has dreamt about every baby born into my extended family before conception-no joke) dreamt I get preggo next month. Freaks me out, but would be such a blessing. Consider all your options, but don't rule a pregnancy out :-)

Huge congrats to Kat!!!!!!

Blair - I'm like Barbara, no tubes, so we don't have to worry (and we're done having kids so that's a good thing.) But I'd probably be on some kind of BC if I did have tubes. Or you could always just work around your cycle and be careful around ovulation, but I never liked having to check a calendar before having relations. :D

Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't posted a pic yet. Frankly, I cannot figure out how. Can someone please, explain it to me. Thank you!

I have been feeling a lot better emotionally. Just a small case of baby blues early on. I remember it was similar with my son for a very short time. I'm doing pretty well now, just wish I could get more sleep. We are working on that.

Well, my work no longer has a place for me, and they are not required to since I have been off more than 12 weeks. If my old boss was still in charge, it would not be a problem. However, he left last spring and a new person took his place. She and I had not worked together long enough to really get to know each other. They have someone else doing my job, and business is really slow right now - the economy. Everyone has had their hours cut, and they wouldn't feel right to put me back in my old position and let the other person go. Hopefully, in spring things will pick up....blah...blah...blah. It's ok, I do not have to work. However, I was very loyal to them and worked there for years and am disappointed. Oh well, I'll be a SAHM, at least for now.

Regarding birth control: I'll definately do it. Pregnancy was stressful and hard for me, and the bleeding after delivery was the clincher. I am very happy with my little family, and the thought of another pregnancy scares me at this point. I am looking for something permanent. However, my ins does not cover birth control (it does cover some fertility treatments though). Therefore, we will have to look at all the options. I will not, and should not do b/c pills because of my clotting disorders, age, and I hate the way they make me feel. I see my ob/gyn on 1/3, so I'll see what all the options are. Frankly, something that also takes care of the symptoms of endo would be great. I also happen to know someone who had twins by invitro and a year later ended up with a natural pregnancy...it can happen to some.
