Happy Bunny--- Okay I just have to say you made me LOL so hard with your comment about wearing dark underwear and peeing in the dark. Honestly though, I think you are on to something here. I am going to try this, I will let you know how it goes haha. I am on the suck train to Spotsville too and I am really ready to get the hell off. I agree, even when you are told it's normal it still really sucks butt to stand up and see blood in the toilet or on the TP. I swear to you I have a panic attack everytime I have to pee. Let's not even mention #2 because I feel like I am going to push my Uterus out of something LOL! Gross I know, just saying it's totally stressful!

Wishingandhoping- What caused your bleeding. How many days would you go blood free? So far my longest stretch is exactly 5 days then all hell broke loose again LOL. Right now I am on day 3 with bleeding 1 time per day and usually for 2-4 hours at a time. Then for the next 24 hours I have brown discharge really watery- blah. Just curious if you have any advice or suggestions. So after 11 weeks did it stop completely or are you still having some?

AFM- More spotting this morning starting at 1230am throuh 430am. Spotting stopped by the time I went to work and not it's just brown discharge- gross! I can't seem to make it past 24 hours without spotting right now. I don't get it!? I guess I will just let go and let God handle this one. It's just so hard to deal with a pregnancy that isn't going 'by the book' but then again why would that happen when I have IF and needed 4 rounds of IVF to get pregnant!!!??? I am hoping my body figures out how to do this so we can move on from all this spotting I have decided to rent a doppler for a few months so I can hear this baby's HB beween appointments. I hear the good ones will pick it up from 10-12 weeks? Anyway have experience with a fetal doppler?
How about maternity pillows? Any suggestions? I am already having a hard time sleeping because I keep trying to remember to lay on my left side.

Yes Bliss, the 15th is tomorrow!!!! But so far so good. I had my 35wk checkup today and........ no changes!!!
My cervix was 50% 2wks ago and its still 50%, no dilation!! Woo hoo! Must be the bedrest! My husband thinks I cheat too much with the bedrest bc he catches me up every so often and then runs me back to the couch or bed. I told him today that this just proves what a good "bed-rester" I am! I told the dr that I want to make it 2 more wks, so it will fall just after Christmas, this way I won't throw too many peoples holiday plans out of whack. I will be 37wks then. If they arent here by the 26th, I may go have pregnancy induction massage at my spa to try to get them here by the end of the yr and avoid induction at 38wks. The dr said that if I keep up the good work there is a great chance that they will hold out 2more wks. They are estimating their wts now as 6pds each!

Its so exciting to see the new faces on the board. I remember reading the preg after treatment boards while I was cycling and longing for the day when I could be a part of them. Congrats ladies!!!

Can I tell you that I just LOVE this group??? Things are picking up and I just adore some of the humor here.

Jen and Barbara- the "Wiping Chronicles" have me in stitches. You are going to make me go into labor!

Jen- I feel very good and all is quiet. I put makeup on for the first time in 3 weeks to go to my OB appointment. It felt amazing! Hope you are feeling better and that you will stop spotting soon.

Dallas- great work hanging in there mama1 I think you are doing an outstanding job of banking those babies.

Longtimer- I have zero down time despite being on bed rest. I am still working full time from home. I manage people over long distances so I just have my meetings and coaching sessions by phone. Its pretty awesome because I can save my leave for being with the baby and it takes the stress out of my job since I don't have to travel. I am also trying to get all my year end reviews done so when I am not on the phone I am writing those. I have 4 completed and 10 to go! A week from today I will be on vacay for 2 weeks though so I may start a bed rest thread then. Yay on team pink!

Jen - Step away from the fetal doppler!! I have one and it is driving me insane. Someone here told me to just put it away until I am further along and I am almost 15 weeks. I could not get it to work and it is just nerve wrecking. It seems like such a nice idea but it just made me more nervous when I could not hear anything. I have decided to wait until I am like 20 weeks before I pull it out again. In term so sleeping, my OB says to just sleep how you are comfortable this early on. Your body will automatically kick in to sleeping on the left when it needs to. He says it just gets hard to sleep any other way. Funny thing is he is kinda right. Not that my belly is getting a lil bigger I can no longer sleep on my back and if I fall asleep on my right I always wake up on my left. Your body just knows ... do not stress it. If you are having insomnia though, the pillow may help you get comfortable. When is your appointment with the OB?

Hello to everyone else. I took your advice and put away the fetal doppler. I was spending too much time obsessing over it - like I knew I would. Otherwise, nothing new with me. My next OB appointment is Monday so I am starting to get nervous as I always do. I am fighting the battle of the rapidly expanding waist line and hips. I will have to post some bump pics. I think I am a little big for almost 15 weeks and was thinking maybe it was bloating since I was a little constipated for a while, but that has gotten better so I guess it is baby!? No pants fit, just my scrub pants that I wear to work. Other than that I have to wear sweat pants, so this weekend I guess I have to head out and venture into the maternity pants area. I thought I would have at least another month ... oh well!! I pray that this is a good sign!

As for the holiday tradition. When I was growing up in the Virgin Islands we always got together with family for Christmas and Thanksgiving. We had tons of traditional West Indian food in addition to the traditional American Turkey and stuffing. Since I have moved away I have not been able to go home for the holidays like I would like. I plan to make an extra effort to have my little one experience the family gatherings for the holidays. They were always so memorable.

Jen, I think it was you that asked about a preggo pillow. I do have a snoogle and that was one of the best things that happend to me. It is really really awesome, it supports your back while you are sleeping on your side. I love mine and my husband loves it more (he kind of sleeps on it partially and is glad it is there).

Hi longTimer - Well, my doctor asked me to be careful (take it easy he said). But I wanted to be very careful until at least 25 weeks. I erred on the side of caution and did nothing- except go to the bathroom and eat. I had help. my mom is here. I didn't even climb down the stairs for a while and if I did, it was once - no eating out, no sitting up for longer than an hour at a time etc. after 26 weeks I started moving a little more, started doing some light resistance band upper body work came down the stairs once everyday.

And my cervical length kept growing the whole time. at the time of cerclage it was 1.65 cm and at 26 weeks it was 3.9 and @29 it was 3.5. After 29 weeks, I stared walking around the house a little more, 10-15 min slow walks after a meal etc. Now I drive to some doctor appointments myself. But still taking it easy - I am not doing this again. might as well do everything I can.

I read, listen to spiritual discourses (in my native tongue), talk to mom, do online shopping for the baby right now and plan my meals (:D). I gained a total of 24 pounds in 31 weeks, a little high, but considering my activity levels there is not much else I can do, my doctor is happy with where I am so i am not too concerned.

I had my ultrasound today... Perfect baby, perfect heart beat!! The doctor found the reason for my spotting too - I have a low placenta and the edge of it is on my cervix. I had previa with Brooke too but no bleeding. He said that the most likely outcome is the placenta will move up as everything grows (that's what happened with Brooke). If the placenta doesn't move up, I'd have to have a C-section which doesn't scare me at all as long as we have a healthy baby. I'll do whatever it takes.

Longtimer - Welcome! So glad you joined us and I totally understand being nervous about joining. I wouldn't even look at the PAT section until we had our first u/s to confirm the pregnancy.

Jen and Happy Bunny - SO happy to hear both of your pregnancies are doing really well. I also had several bleeding episodes in the first trimester, and it freaked me out so much that I never stopped expecting there to be blood on the TP (even at 37 weeks!). But I'm just neurotic

Dallas - you are doing awesome! I'm so impressed that there was no change and you are still at 50%. Great job!!

Bliss - glad to hear you are keeping busy while on bedrest. Any plans for your vacation coming up?

fvrogers - I felt like none of my clothes fit near the end of my first trimester and I started wearing maternity pants then. I found them to be super comfortable.

LYD - how are you doing?

AFM - went to my OB yesterday and my cervix wasn't dilated but I am 75% effaced, my doc sounded surprised but said that was really good. She checked to see if he was still head down, but couldn't tell by feeling from the outside. So she brought in the ultrasound machine to check, and he was still head down. I thought for sure the little stinker would have decided to flip when it starts to count For all you working girls, are you planning to work until you can't or are you taking time off before your due date? Our maternity policy isn't the best, so I am pretty much working up until I go into labor. I just really hope my water doesn't break at work! I don't think I ever posted a bump pic, so here is one from a couple of days ago.
