Laura - that is a STRONG, excellent beta! Congratulations!
Barbara - answering your post on the #2 thread.
Everyone else, positive thoughts to you. I'm feeling rather blue today. Not sure why because today is my LAST day taking BCP (hopefully ever).

Ladies. Good news so far! Out of 7 embryos all 7 were 8cells, which is what they are supposed to be! We've never had all embryos on time! And all grade A. Embryologist was very happy for us. She said we outdid ourselves this time. yey! We transferred 3 good embryos! And are freezing 4 other good ones. Wow! I am super excited.
Now 50% of then could still be genetically wrong inside, but hopefully one will take.
I am typing this from the transfer room table where I am supposed to lie still for 45min.
I saw them put the embryos in. Even though it was my 6th time it was still very cool. They were careful not to put them too far in so as to avoid another ectopic.
LauraN, awesome BFP! Good luck on the 2 nd one!
Neffie, i am sorry the hpts are not cooperating yet. I am planning to poas to see the trigger out and make sure the hpts from amazon are working.

Just wanted to send some positive sticky vibes to you ladies. I read everyday, just do not post (mainly out of lazziness ). Anyways, please know that I think and pray for you all and wish you all nothing but blessings of little miracles. I know first hand how depressing, frustrating and downright miserable the entire process can be. Even after you get your BFP, you are still on pins and needles waiting for the other foot to drop just knowing that something will go wrong. More than anything I pray for positive energy just to keep you from ever giving up. Everyone is so strong and amazing and don't you ever forget that!!
Much love always - and always lurking ,

Whipping up some Christmas candy with Ghiradelli white choclate tonight! Covering everything from pretzels to crushed peppermint and my dad's favotrite ritz crackers with peanut butter. But one of my family's all time favorites is Rocky Road so I thought I would share this recipe with you ladies!
ROCKY ROAD
Ingredients
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 oz package)
2 tablespoons butter
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cups dry roasted peanuts
7 cups miniature marshmallows
Instructions
Line a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with wax paper or non-stick foil. Non-stick foil is more expensive, but it’s worth having for recipes like this.
Melt chocolate chips and butter in heavy saucepan over low heat with sweetened condensed milk. Remove from heat.
Combine peanuts and marshmallows in large bowl. Stir in chocolate mixture. Spread in prepared pan.
Chill 2 hours or until firm. Remove from pan by lifting edges of wax paper; peel off paper. Cut into squares.
Alternatively, you can make the recipe in the microwave. Heat the condensed milk and butter for 1 minute in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the chips and stir well. Microwave for another 30 seconds, stir until chips are melted and smooth. Then stir in peanuts and marshmallows. Press into the lined pan. Let set, then cut
Quick Notes
You can make this with toasted pecans or walnuts.
Variations
Colored marshmallows!

LaureN,
Congratulations girl on your beta today, I know you and dh must be so excited! Are you going to wait till Christmas to tell the family? I cannot wait for your first ultrasound, you so deserve this!
Lyd10,
That goes for you too! I will be praying for your emibabies to keep growing and stay with you for the next 9 months. So glad you got to freeze some for later on, that is comforting to know all them fertilized beautifully.
Ninde,
Work was fun last night. I do have one dilemma though, one of the newest co-workers smokes fine but everyone is entitled to a 10 minute break and the smoking area is somewhat 300 ft away from the store. I told her with it just being me and her on the floor we aren't supposed to leave the store but I ALSO knew she was going to be working a 6 hr shift with me so what did I do, got creative. She told me she didn't have a cell phone and so I gave her my phone and told her I would call her if I needed her...lol She said she was out there for like two puffs and came back in, I was like you didn't stay gone long. She saved the other part of the cigarette for later, but I'm torn what else could I do? Anyway the rest of the night we talked about our past crazy adventures, had fun with the clients that shopped late, that night really flew by but above everything else we made sales projection. As for negative comments that were said earlier we all agreed that it was not cool! For example, one of the coworkers found our bosses' notebook out on the back of the cashwrap laying wide open and read something that was written about her. She told me about it but asked me not to tell our boss that she found it. She wasn't happy about it at all really thought our boss is writing her up, idk but that's how she feels. Last time we worked together she told me she needed to start looking for another job but I told her she really needs to talk with our boss and get everything out in the open, it's the only way she can get everything resolved. It seems easier when we don't have the negativity/complaining at work and we are really trying to make it a better place to work. I know it starts with the managers and we feed off each other, but like I said before we deserve to have fun but in a good way. Our DM store visit on Thursday was great btw, and that brightened our outlook, but I also know the holidays is always tough for anyone who works in retail. It's an andreline rush, but I get moody after the holidays because payroll hours are cut so it's tough to find a happy balance. So that's why I'm looking into taking up Florida real estate or maybe just do some volunteer work. More then anything we do need to start the IVF savings account for this summer, either a promotion or another part-time job might be calling my name. Sorry I'm rambling on...be aware this is what happens when anyone asks me about work! lol How is everything going for you? Any more workshops coming up? I know you must be getting ready for cycling soon in January, yes 2012 is going to bring us many good changes!

I am so bad - I added baby aspirin to my post transfer medication list. I read on the Internet that high levels of estrogen can cause blood clotting and lower implantation chances. Aspirin is supposed to help with that. The evidence is inconclusive but my clinic did have me take it during my FET, just not during my fresh transfer. Anyway I emailed my embryologist who will read it on Monday and reply. If she tells me to stop I will, but I thought it couldn't hurt. The only downside is later on, too much blood flow to uterus can cause sub chorionic hematoma and bleeding during pregnancy. So I thought I would take it up to my beta and then stop. Anyway I don't think 3 nights on baby aspirin are going to hurt and on Monday my embryologist can tell me to stop if she wants me to.
They measured my estrogen during transfer today and it went up to 3600. Weird why would it do that? It came down after retrieval to 2300 and now back up to 3600. I guess the hCG shot in my system continued to stimulate my ovaries which produced more estrogen later on.
Do any of you ladies know how high your estrogen got in the fresh cycles?

LYD10- Sometimes we just have to do what we think is best! I'm still learning from all of you but what would be the different from a frozen or fresh cycle that would make using Aspirin harmful?
Question for those of you with PCOS and don't Ovulate. What was/is your protocol? I know there are many different ones depending on you and your partner but is it normally the same per issue? If that makes sense? DH had a slight low count but so slight it wouldn't cause a problem. It could have changed though, his last test was almost 2 years ago. Just saying if it was just the PCOS and No Ovulation present..
I am officially throwing in the towel....8dp5dt...Negative. I am so numb. Still no tears. The fact that I will never be pregnant again is heartbreaking. Thanks for all the support. My IVF journey is over. adoption and surrogacy(with donor embryos) may be in our future. I did have a meeting with a birthmom last night that went well so who knows....only time will tell. I can tell everyone that I will have my big family one day! No matter how I get it! I also spoke with the woman from Children and Youth yesterday and she is sending me the info for foster to adopt.....
I hope you all get your BFPs. I will continue to read. Thanks again!

Lyd- woo hoo! Congrats, you are PUPO! So, when will you start POASing? Do you do it everyday? I could totally see myself doing that everyday...Yesterday was the first day that I haven't done it, but I guess it's ok since I got my blood test. I still haven't been back to the store to buy more, so I'm totally out of them anyway. And on the baby aspirin, my clinic has never recommended that, but that may be because I can't take any type of aspirin, ever, since my stomach surgery last year. I can only take Tylenol type stuff and so that wouldn't work the same. Now that I'm thinking about it, my friend that went to the same clinic as me never mentioned being on aspirin, however, I don't think any 1 clinic has all of the answers. If it is something that sounds like it could work, then totally do it.
Ninde- So, you didn't like the Sherlock movie? We saw it last night and we actually enjoyed it. I also want to see the Mission Impossible movie, but I haven't seen the first few, so I'm trying to figure out when to watch those so I can go see the newest one. I really don't like Tom Cruise, I don't not like him, but I don't get all goo goo over him like a lot of people do, but I think he's a good actor. My favorite actor of all times is Denzel Washington.
Neffi- Don't lose hope, some show negative until their beta day....I've seen some get a positive super early and then some super late. It's crazy!
Bonnie- I've read that extreme thirst can be an early sign of pregnancy. I can't get enough to drink either. So I've forgotten, are you on PIO shots? and estrogen patches? What is crazy about this IVF journey is that we are so overly aware of everything our body is doing throughout this whole process, from when we are stimming all of the way to our beta's. You can drive yourself crazy with all of it. I would say to keep a diary of your symptoms, and realize that some of them could totally mean you are pregnant and some of them may just be your body doing weird stuff- who knows. AND, you will never know, even if you get a positive, you'll never know if that was your body reacting to being pregnant or if that was just your body being your body.
Gina- I was sorta diagnosed with PCOS, but it was over a year ago. We are doing the IVF because my tubes are tied(17 years ago) and my husband has a low sperm count, not super low, but low enough to where they said that it would be a waste of money to get my tubes untied. That was a different doctor that reviewed that. I think my clinic does a pretty standard protocol regardless of your issue, they just maybe adjust the dosages. Then, if you have to go to a second cycle, then they go more agressive.
AFM- I'm finishing up my baking this morning. We (DH, DS, DS) are meeting my ex in laws and ex husband for a lunch down on the riverwalk here in San Antonio. It's a yearly thing that they come down to my neck of the woods and we exchange Christmas gifts and hang out. My ex in laws LOVE my current DH and he enjoys being around them. So, as part of their Christmas gift, I baked some lemon squares, brown sugar squares and fudge. I'll have to post some of the recipes later. Anyways, the buzzer on the stove is beeping at me, so I better run. You guys have a great weekend!
