Sorry that I'm usually MIA over the weekends - somehow I'm much busier when not working than working! 7:30am on a Sunday morning -- and sitting at my desk at work. I don't really have much work to do - so I have plenty of time to catch up with my gals!
Amanda - well, too bad that a 'natural' cycle didn't work (even though I guess you knew it wouldn't - I also always 'try' even though I know it's pretty hopeless) - I'm glad AF is here.

D&C is this week on Wednesday? Good luck. Have you ever had one before? Will they put you completely to sleep or with local anesthetic?
kbillsy - I've always seen a hb at 6w2d or 6w3d (depending on which day I went for my u/s) - but it's a bit early. If you wait just a few more days, you'll definitely see a heartbeat. I'm sorry about the spotting. It really can be fine -- ask Barbara or JenMink - both of whom have a ton of spotting but things are fine. I had bleeding (heavy heavy bleeding) with my boys and they were fine. Maybe go for an u/s early and see what's going on. There isn't much anyone can do in any case. Bleeding is always scary -- hugs
Maria - Dec 30th is so soon! I assume you are taking your estrogen already? Or are you doing a natrual FET? How is your lining looking? Right on track? (Can you move me back up to "trying with IVF"? I'm just waiting for my beta to drop - hopefully this week - so I can start my new cycle)
Laura - your clinic puts a catheter to drain you? I'm supposed to lie down for 30 min post transfer with a full bladder! How awful! I've learned not to completely fill my bladder -- with my first transfer, I had a really full bladder and 10 min after the transfer I got up to pee because I was going to EXPLODE! ---- Great beta number, btw!

How many days post transfer is that?
Patricia - sorry that AF showed up. That b*tch. Only one more month until you start! You have frozen embryos or will you be doing fresh again?
Tess - still going up? That sucks. I totally understand losing the PMA. I'm crappy company most days, but I put on a brave face. I just found out that an IVF buddy of mine got a miracle BFP (triplets from her first IVF, a miracle pregnancy that ended with full term stillbirth - then 7 failed IVF cycles - now a miracle pregnancy again). I'm super happy for her -- but *I* should be the one due in August. God knows, I'm working hard at it. Ugh. I need to fight the little green-monster.
Shari - I'm so sorry.

You are limited in how many cycles you can do a year? I've never heard of that before here in Israel. I can do as many as I like (although, I've never tried to do more than 4 in a single year)
Neffi - I'm so sorry.

Can you go for a beta early (like now!) to get a definitive 'no' answer? We are also looking into 'foster to adopt' and it's super scary.
Gina - it's so scary to commit so much money to something that doesn't have a guarantee. I hate gambling - and this would feel like the biggest gamble of all! At least you are promised going through with the whole cycle. My doctors have me on an antagonist cycle - I start the stims on CD3 and then add Ganirelix (or Cetrotide) when my follicles reach a certain size (usually after 3-5 days of stimming) and continue until the trigger. The advantage of the antagonist cycle is (1) shorter than the Lupron cycle and (2) if you get too risky to overstim, you can trigger with Lupron. After a Lurpon trigger, you can't transfer embryos (it messes with your lining), but if you get too close to overstim with a Lupron cycle, you can only cancel. No way to get the eggs. PCOS has more risk to overstim, so my doctors do this. I've had great results with it, but I've never tried Lupron, so I can't compare. (We've had a few threads talking about agonist vs antagonist in the past -- try searching for them)
Barbara - glad you have a reason for the spotting and so many women have a placenta previa move before delivery. I totally hear ya though - I was warned that getting pregnant again so soon after my C-section made me much more likely for another C-section -- I don't care!
Amy (kerpupples) - I always feel that way! I always feel so optimistic -- I'm not going to buy a new box of tampons, because I'm not going to need it! I'm going to throw away those last few pills in the BCP pack because I'm not going to need it! I hope this is your last BCP ever too!
Lydia - 7 out of 7? That's amazing! Congrats on being PUPO!

I can't wait to hear your next POAs adventure! (and I also pee out my trigger... you aren't crazy!) My clinic never tests my e2 again after my last SnS before my trigger. Weird that your clinic does - I've never heard of that.
Bonnie - good luck POAS! I can't decide what is better, POAS or waiting for the blood test. I totally see pros/cons to each -- but I can never wait!
Christy - oy! Holidays in retail - sounds like a horror movie to me

I'm glad your husband stood up to his family about the ridiculousness of your traveling. I live really far away from my family, and we don't see each other very often, which sucks, but it's just soooo far to travel. We waste half our vacation time just traveling.
AFM - ugh. I thought I had stopped bleeding (no bleeding at all over the weekend) but it seems to have started again - maybe because of our <ahem> activities last night. Ugh. I just want this to be OVER already! I'm dying to start my new cycle.
I'm debating when to get my next blood test. The nice thing about Wednesday is, that if my beta is zero, I can do baseline on Thursday. My clinic is closed Fri/Sat, so if I do my beta on Thursday and it's negative, I have to wait until Sunday.
BUT --- all blood taking labs are open only for 'urgent' things on Wednesday -- all the doctors offices are closed because of Chanukah (only the first day, which is Wednesday). So... is my follow up beta considered "urgent"? If I show up, will they do it? Should I not risk that, and just go a different day? Which different day, Tuesday (when it's more likely not to be zero because it's earlier) or Thursday (when I couldn't start until Sunday)?
I guess I'll go Tuesday.... Fingers crossed that it's super super super low - or even zero!
