DeeDee - thinking of your test tomorrow. I know it will be smiles and +++++ all round! Post early and let us all have something to celebrate please! I'm assuming it's a HPT?

Loopy - sweetie, it will be quiet there's only a couple of people left!! Plus you're all hatching right now  This board is completely nuts about dogs. I read Staci's thread yesterday about a new collie puppy....I'm so NOT a dog person

Dagny - looking forward to hearing your EC update and news. I so hope it went well today.

All fine here. I've decided to try the South Beach diet for 2 weeks before I leave for the UK. I was last there at Christmas and I've only put weight on since. It would be sooooo good to be a kilo or two lighter....hahaha, in my dreams! It would be a step in the right direction for my preparation for Sept. too.

take care buddies...
love
Debra.

Hope you are still not knicker checking - hang in there.
Dagny - how did it go?
Teresa - not long now until your ++++++ and my birthday and not unconvinced these two aren't goign to make an appearance next week

Deb - not going to thump you when you are down and understand why you think it's your fault - it's just that it is not your fault so there and will only let you feel this way for a limited period!

Dee Dee - the big day - waiting to see the good news
Love to all

Hi there buddies

I have posted on my OHSS thread so I will limit this one.

After a very painful EC we got 14 eggs and 10 have fertilised. I am feeling OK, a bit sore and bloated but that's normal.

DeeDee - Wishing you all the best for your test today. Loads of *babydust* on it's way over to you. Let us know.

Loopy - Not long now honey. It is boring the 2ww isn't it as you are so limited to what you want to do. Did you get ant frosties? I asked you somewhere else but don't know where and if you have already answered it sorry. Hope your dog does well in it's show.

Debra - Hope the weather over here cheers up a bit for when you come over. It's been so nice until now and now its PANTS!! Hope you are OK. Good luck with your diet. I've not herd of the South Beach diet.

Tracey - Any sign of those girls yet?? I will pop over to the PG side and see what's new over there in a min. Hopefully I will be there soon, fingers crossed.

Love Dagny xkx

Dagny - that sounds so good :-) Although I'm sorry you're in pain - I think the ec is the worse bit isn't it. They must have a right old root about and it feels like it after. But 10 fertilising is fantastic. Good luck!!

Good luck to everyone - especially those on 2WW - its a nightmare aint it? Just take it VERY easY! Am thinking of you

hello again, dagny forgot to answer your question,re-frosties,before ec,me and dh decided to donate any remaining embryos to research,so we signed the form and that was that,we decided that were having a long break after this attempt,so i will have a fresh go in around a year,i didn`t ask how many they would of used for research, but should of been a few i would imagine, hopefully they will help for ivf in the future.
love loopy. :D :D

Loopy,

What kind of dogs do you have?

The collie breeder we went to see yesterday must have had about 20 dogs! She only had one puppy available though. It was beautiful but 8 mos. old (she held onto him thinking she would show him but he didn't have the right disposition for the ring). Anyway, I hadn't pictured getting a puppy that old. He is already quite large and my rationale for getting a young puppy was that the the cats might be more accepting of something closer to their own size. Not sure what to do now. We are going to see a 2 1/2 mo. old puppy at a different breeders house today then need to make a decision! I know my cats are not going to happy either way so I'm kind of stressed about it. It's just that I'm hoping the cats will live very long lives and I don't think I can commit to not getting a dog for the next 15 years or so.

Debra,

I see you are not a dog person. Do you like cats? I'm just a complete animal lover. If we had enough land, would probably have horses, several dogs, etc. We were very close to buying a macaw last summer but, apparently, they can be quite loud and I was worried it would annoy the neighbors.

Dagny,

Glad the EC went ok and a good number of eggs fertilized. Your ET will be on Tues?

Loopy

How very honorable of you. We only give any embies that can't be frozen to mecical research and as we have never had any frosties loads of them have been used for medical science. I hope our donations have made a big difference to the research.

Staci - Good luck on your puppy hunting. My Mum and Dad have had 4 Weimaranas in the past and they really HATE cats so not a good choice but if you introduce them young enough they could learn to live with them but it's dodgy ground.

Guess what everyone?

The test said positive - can hardly believe it - seems very un-real at the moment.

A BIG thank you to all of you who have shared this whole experience with me and offered support and advice along the way - I couldn't have done it without you.

Dagny - well done on EC - fingers crossed for ET
Loopy - hang on in there - the days will pass - albeit slowly - but they will

Thanks to you all again

Hi Staci....hmm, the dog vs. cat thing. I've never owned either and if we had a house with garden, I'd still have to think really hard about getting one. A cat would probably win though, dogs are too demanding and even if I liked my own, I'm scared of them in general, so taking it for a walk and meeting other manic pooches would scare me to death.

One great thing about living here is that dogs are not so common and it's illegal to have them off a leash in public - hooray!

I suspect I've offended half the board now  good luck with your puppy searching though!

Debra.

Hello there buddies!
Well just wanted to do a bit of catching up (well a lot it seems actually!)..
How are you all doing? Debra - I'm sorry about your -tive, I do hope your doing ok and overdone the chocolate rules...? I'm thinking of you and hoping the time goes quick so you can have your FET when you're ready..
DeeDee - Well done on your +tive! That's so fantastic!!!! How are you feeling?? Are you keeping awake???!!
Dagny - That's great about your 10 embies!! You have been through so much since I last posted - hope the pain is easing for you?? That OHSS is a bloody nasty one, I'm just so glad you have had your EC, and you have done so well buddy! When is your ET? (sorry I haven't read your other thread yet!) Wishing you loads of luck and I'll be checking up for a BFP!
Loopy - Oh my god - so nearly test date!!!!! Wishing you soo much luck, and I hope you're not going too mad on the lovely 2WW?? That did tickle me the fact you are fancying a pint and a ciggy!!!!! Well you wont be having that for ages due to a BFP coming your way!!!
Teresa - Good luck to you too!! Your test date is next I think?? How are those 4 embies doing??? Sending you loads of PMA!!!!
Staci - How are you doing buddy?? How is it all going?? Have you got your puppy yet??
Tracey - Not long now for you to meet your lovely twins!! When is your due date in August? Really excited for you!!!!
Traci - Are you still being superfit personal trainer person?? Very impressed with that!! Hope you are ok!
Aly - How are you doing?? Hope you are doing ok - been thinking of you too!
Caz - Hope you're doing ok too!

Well, I'm doing much better this week.. The first week I was fine, and was just thinking of all the things I wanted to get back to doing, then sadly my Grandad died last week and we were really close.. So had a bit of a rough time, just too much all in one go... But these things do test us, and we have to deal with them.. Going away to Hungary really helped too, gave me a bit of independence back which always toughens me up touring as the only female!! So, doing ok and being loads more positive now...Off to Brasil next month too so very pleased about that! So I just wanted to pop back on to keep in touch with you all and see how you're all getting on!
So good luck all you girlies!
Love Kel xx
