Had the D&C Friday. All went smooth. Waiting on the genetic teeing results now & then discussing plan for next try. If we got pregnant and made 2 months, we can make it all the way :)

Hope, my DH took Coq10 400ml - you can get it from Walgreens, etc. And he took Fertile Max, which is made by a company here in san Diego, so I just bought it here, but you can order from their website. I read the ingredients on fertile max and I thought it was a more extensive ingredient list than some other fertility suppliments for men that I saw on the web for the same price. So we went with this combo. I am already pleased with the results, but I will be over the moon if we actually get pregnant this cycle. Right? :)

Blue, that's once of you to bake cookies for your neighbors. When the weather gets cold our neighbors seem to all withdraw inside so we don't even see each other that much.

I've been feeling like cooking more, too. I mainly like Asian dishes, even though I am not Asian myself, but I mainly like Indian, Thai and Chinese. So DH and I have been cooking thai curries and sesame noodles and chickpea masalas. When I am on hormones I mainly crave savory and spicy, not so much sweet. Although after all that spice I eat vanilla icecream to put the fire out :) which remind me I should make raita, that Indian cucumber and cumin yogurt sauce. My DS likes it when we cook, he plays with water in the synch along us. But only to a point. He can't stay indoors all day. Rain or shine we must go the playground where he gets his energy out.

Gina - we live abroad too - and people can never understand why we don't visit them when we come to the USA. Sheesh - the USA is a HUGE place! I already traveled 20 hours to visit my mom on the East Coast - you really think I'm going to spend money and travel another few hours to travel to Florida or the West Coast? People really don't get it!

Maria - I'm hoping to start my stims around Christmas (on Chanukah!)-- not what any of us want for the holidays - but better than waiting...

Neffi - I'm so sorry hon. Tuesday is tomorrow, and then you'll have your final answer. Are there no more donor embryos? I wish we had some to donate, but we're still using all of ours. (This makes me disgusted to read another thread that was brought back from the "dead" about sex selection where she casually mentions they "discarded" all the female embryos just because they were girls. Sheeeeeesh)

Christy - that's good. No ToysRUs mania, with parents fighting over the last Tickle-Me Elmo doll! (wow, I guess I'm really dating myself there! But that's the last toy rush I remember!) Have fun in Alabama!

Ester - wow! Halfway done and you know it's a boy and a girl! So exciting! Yeah... it's kinda incredible the sh*t I've been through. Even if we have a healthy baby, we'll carry the rest of this for our whole lives. Having a healthy baby won't make everything retroactively "okay". I just hope that we do have a baby someday... hopefully in 9-10 months from now!

Lydia - I also love seeing the BFP - even if I know it's just the trigger! For us, which doctor is doing the ER/ET is on a rotation - I never know which doctor it's going to be until we show up. There are some doctors who say "are you crazy transferring 2 again?!" and other doctors who say "are you sure only 1?" which is incredibly frustrating. (I hope we get a doctor who is fine with transferring whatever we decide to transfer!)

Laura - I'm glad you had a good time with the ex-in-laws. That's something about my parents' divorce I hate -- more than 15 years divorced and STILL can't be in the same room with each other. My wedding was a disaster! (well - good in the sense that I married David, which I'm happy about -- but disastrous because my parents had to "cooperate") Kudos to you!

Indigo - I hope your exams went well! You are studying midwifery, right? I totally understand you transferring 2 and hoping for a singleton - pretty sure that's what we're going to do too. Good luck on Wednesday! Let us know how it goes!

Bonnie - you are still early - keep taking those tests! :D

Patricia (ninde) - even if I don't celebrate Christmas - this week is Chanukah too! (the 2 holidays don't always overlap - but this year they do!) The date that's important to me is December 26 -- it will be exactly 2 years since we lost our first set of twins - which is pretty crazy. I was *sure* I'd have a rainbow baby on the 1 year anniversary, but I wasn't even pregnant. I can't believe it's 2 years and still nothing.... I'd love to have 12/26 as my LMP - that would really bring us 'full circle' -- You're a twin? Cool! Identical or fraternal? (wow, your mom died on your birthday? That's such awful timing. The boys died right before my birthday and it was awful. I don't know if I'll ever be able to celebrate again... I have another friend whose son was still born full term on his birthday -- he chose a different day of the year to celebrate his birthday on)

kbillsy - glad to hear the bleeding stopped! Cookie baking can definitely wait!

Nicole - 5 weeks of BCP? That's a long time. Has your beta gotten to zero yet? Sounds like a pretty basic FET. How many embryos do you have frozen?

HopeThisWorksM - I'm glad to hear the D&C went well. I always try to focus on the positive -- "at least I didn't have complications". I hope the genetic results give you some answers.

AFM - no bleeding for the last day or so. I'm tempting fate today by NOT wearing any 'protection' (although I have in my purse should the need arise). New blood test tomorrow! I can't wait any longer :D

I'm enjoying a delicious latte at work. What I missed most while being unemployed is a coffee/cappuccino maker! :D

Rehearsal schedule has gotten intense and we have a ton of Chanukah related activities later this week (first night of Chanukah is Tuesday). Luckily, I don't have the tradition of giving gifts (which Jews really adopted from Christmas!). My in-laws do give gifts, but instead of buying them something they don't need (sheesh - these people have EVERYTHING!), I bought some specialty hard apple cider to share when we go for dinner and lighting the menorah together on Tuesday. Yum!

I mailed my mom some cookies -and I know she probably did the same. The only other gifts I bought are for my cousins - they live about 40 min drive away and we see them all the time. There is an age gap (my cousin is 40ish, they have 6 kids ranging in age from 18-4) but she is my closest confidante and friend. We go for the weekend about once a month. They (like us!) love board games - so I bought them 2 small games that I know they'll like. We'll have fun playing together. Her kids LOVE us - which is really nice.

Ninde- Well she won't fly so I can't push her to come here but she just needs to realize we can't always come, not to ask! lol. She asked DS the other day. I said if we get to retire we won't be coming this summer for sure. If I get to do IVF, we'll be near DC/MD so they can drive down. She flew with a friend of the family once (he was the pilot) and he was messing around and it freaked her out. So she won't fly.

Leora- Nope they don't get it! We have about a 10-11 hr flight to either parents. However one is in MD and one in GA. So we'd have to drive the 12 hrs. Cause the cheap Airtran you can take charges so much for bags it's cheaper driving with a rental car good on gas! They know we are saving for IVF too, so they can either pay for 1/2 the ticket cost or pay for 1/2 IVF! lol. Next year is our last year here, so we'll be doing some traveling in different countries here.

Glad you are no longer bleeding and hope the Beta is zero! I know you and your DH are ready to get started!

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted much lately. Wrapped up in my world, but I have been reading and praying! I don't even know where to start with personals so I'll have to do those another time.

I'm still doing acupuncture. I've been three times now and am beginning to see some results as far as stress and depression alleviating! He suggested I come two more times and then one or two times before we transfer. I'm scheduling my hsg for the 23rd. That might mean I'll be not so comfortable on Christmas? I hope not. Anyway...I hope everyone is doing well and not getting stressed out with all the Christmas preparations! Keeping us all in my prayers!

Maria- Love your tree! So full too! Ours isn't too bad. They have slim pickings for nice ones here. Heck they even were selling some with pine cones that started growing!! We put lots of love into it though! :)

Leora, odds are it is genetic with that particular fetus/emby. If that is the case then there is nothing that can be done for it and it just happens... If it is something else, perhaps it can be treated.

LYD, I saw the ingredients in the Fertile Max. Almost exactly what we were taking (minues the CoQ10) as our doctor gave multivitamins and Pycnogenol 200mg a day. Maybe we'll try this too but Im thinking we just add CoQ10 to the mix :) At this rate, the count could possibly get over 20mill so it wont be considered low anymore...

HopeThisWorks-I pray that the genetic testin provides you with some answers. We were able to have genetic testing with the last MC but the results were normal. Will they be doing any other type of testing for you or blood work?

We already had teh full chicago work up so not much other testing to do. Sometimes you just have to accept that something was wrong and the pregnancy just wasnt meant to be. God's will I guess? WE're just being strong and pushing on. The next try could be the one and we know that we are doing everything we can :)

I will have to! Can't find our cord for the camera so need to pick up a new one, but we keep forgetting with all the Christmas things around us lol. For some reason our new laptops has a slot for bigger memory cards and ours is small since the camera we used is so small.
