Barbara, good idea on wipe don't look. Sound like everything is fine, but just unerving.
AFM, I don't know if I am going to poas everyday, but I did today and the trigger line is fainter. I am glad I know where the positive line on thus test is. I just hope I get to see it reemerge.

Hi Ladies - today is 6dpo and the trigger is out. HPT was stark white today.
Now the wait begins. i am so scared. i need to keep busy this week and keep my mind off this until next tuesday which is when my beta is. I'll probably POAS as time goes on, but i am so scared of getting a negative. urghhh. we transferred 3 perfect embryos. i am scared my E2 was too high and they are not going to take. well, if that's the case and i get a BFN this cycle - this will be the last fresh transfer of my life!!!! no one is going to convince me to do a fresh trasnfer if this one doesnt work. because the embryos were perfect - so if it doesnt work it has to be the uterus. anyway - i am starting to freak out. its just so hard. knowing how many ways it can go wrong. i hope i dont get another ectopic, for instance! or another chemical! frankly if it doesnt work - i hope it's just a BFN - because then it is plain and simple and I can move on to my FET (4 frozen embies).

Lyd, I'm sorry you are in that dreaded 2 ww period; it is so hard and gets harder and harder with more experience. Are you traveling anywhere for the holidays? I ended up traveling during my 2 ww this time and it helped (although of course it was always on my mind!). Post as much as you need to; this thread helps so much I found! Make sure you are taking lots of deep breaths and try to stay as relaxed as possible. With 3 beautiful embryos you certainly are giving this the best possible shot; I hope you are able to take comfort in that. I also know what you mean about being terrified to start POAS and continue to get negatives. I hope you don't experience that and you will experience the faint line that keeps getting darker
Keep us posted!
How are the rest of you ladies out there? Neffi, any new updates? Barbara, how are you feeling? Are you nauseous or super tired?
AFM, I'm doing fine. Work is super busy so it's helping me worry less. I know things are looking good for me so far, but Friday seems like a long time away to see what's been happening in my uterus. I of course, can't help worrying about everything. One good sign is that my boobs are super tender and I swear they grew a bunch since yesterday!
Barbara, how early was your first ultrasound? Mine will be at 5 weeks 2 days. I am not sure what to expect. Will they be able to see a sac at this point?

Alexis: My first ultrasounds were at 5W2D and 5W3D. Each time, we were able to see the sac and a yoke sac but nothing else.
Lyd: The wait does indeed suck. I'll be thinking of you every day and hoping for a second line for you.
AFM: I'm feeling pretty good; I'm tired though. I don't have near the morning sickness that I did with Brooke, just a little here and there. The spotting is almost gone! For the last two days, it's seriously diminished. I hope that it goes away and stays away.
I had to go on base today to confirm my pregnancy so that I can get my OB referral. To do so, I had to see about 7 people. I had Brooke with me and not a single person failed to comment that I was "already pregnant again". The first time was okay but after that, it started to seem to me that people thought that my pregnancy was some sort of surprise accident and something shocking and overwhelming rather than something that I'm really excited about. I'm probably sensitive because I'm an IVFer. I dunno. I guess I've got a long road of comments like that ahead of me and I'd better thicken my skin up about it.

Barbara, thanks for the info with the ultrasound. My office told me they may not be able to see anything with the first ultrasound (and I was surprised by that because I thought I remembered that they saw the sac when I was pregnant with my son). I didn't document everything with that pregnancy though, so it's a little blurry now!
Sorry about all of the insensitive comments. That is so frustrating and frankly none of their business! I think as an IVFer it's very easy to be sensitive to what others say to you. I think you should come up with some great response so you know what to shoot back at them if people make comments like that

Alexis, thanks so much for your words of encouragement. It helps to hear them from someone who s been through a similar kind of thing. It's nice to have a place to express our worries and be understood. I'll be waiting for Friday with you. Here is hoping we both get excellent news on Friday!
Barbara, I have a friend with 2 kids very close together and it's the best thing ever. Because they play so well together! I am often jealous of her because the kids entertain each other while she cooks. Whereas mine requires more attention. Although he is in the kitchen right now playing with salt by himself. Bless his heart. while mom types I think it's awesome they ll be so close together. Will you try for a third or be done at two?

Lyd: We have two frosties that we're going to put in after this pregnancy (unsure of the timeline) - after that, we're done either way no matter what the outcome.
AFM: I think that the spotting is over... I've been spot free all day.
We're going to Florida for a week to visit family, so I'm going to miss what's going on. I'll be thinking of everyone and wishing you all the best winter holiday.

well RE canceled my beta today....they were only going to be in the office until 10 am and I wasn't going to make it til 11am. They said I could come in Thursday. They know that I have negatives at home so they know thats its going to be negative. I talked to RE later and asked if I could just stop my meds and she said yes and that I don't even have to come in for a beta. So in their minds....16dpo with a negative at home is a BFN! I took one more HPT to make sure and nothing so this is it for me. Thank you all for your support....

Neffi, I'm sorry to hear that it turned out to be a BFN. I know there is always an inkling of hope until the end, so it's sad that it's over. How are you feeling about it all? I hope ok. Any new adoption news?
Barbara, I'm glad to hear the spotting seems to have disappeared...finally! I bet that's such a relief.
Lyd, how are you doing with the waiting time? Are you keeping busy? Any special plans for the holidays?
AFM, I'm just trying to get through this week; work has been CRAZY so far and now my son is home sick today (I work from home, so oftentimes, that means between my DH and me, I end up taking care of our son). My DH will come home when I have conference calls I need to be on though, so that's nice. I think we'll also get some packing done for our upcoming trip for Christmas. We are heading down the Atlanta to spend the holidays with my family on Saturday. I hope our ultrasound goes well on Friday so that when we arrive on Saturday, we'll have good news to share with my family. My sister in law is pregnant and their announcement of their pregnancy happened during the 2ww of our first IVF cycle this year. I took it pretty hard and really had a hard time with it for about 4-5 months. I feel terrible about it, but that's just how I felt. They pretty much get pregnant whenever they want to on the first try...That happened when we were have fertility challenges with our son too. Amazing timing!
Everybody else, haven't heard much from you; how's it going? Any new updates?

Alexis - sorry to hear your son is sick. that is no fun for anyone! i hope he feels better soon! its nice that you will be going to warmer weather for the holidays. we'll most likely be staying right here - we are supposed to have really good weather in san diego over the next week. which is very helpful - because DS loves going to playgrounds. so we'll be doing a lot of that i am sure.
i've beed busy at work - but starting tomorrow we are off till Jan 3rd. which is nice. but will give me way too much time to obsess over my upcoming beta. the good thing - tomorrow my DH and I will have a day to ourselves, because DS will be in daycare still so we'll go out to lunch - just ourselves - which we havent done in ages. and then i want to buy a holiday present for our daycare lady - which is like a grandma to us. its a home-based daycare. i'll probaby pick her up a nice scarf from Macy's.
i havent POAsed since i saw my trigger leave yet. today is 8dpo. the embryos - if they are still alive - are supposed to be implanting now. maybe i'll POAS later on today. but i obviously wont be dissapointed if i dont see anything.
I do wish i felt more twinges or pulls or something. i distinctly remember feeling twinges and pulls with my DS during the last week of the 2ww. i hope i feel those soon. but then again every time it is different. so, its hard to tell. and i never experienced implantation spotting! has anyone had implantation spotting? that would be helpful woudnt it?

You guys- I got a positive HPT! Super faint because it is 8dpo but. Unless it is still the trigger. Which I don't think so because I tested on Monday and got a negative HPT. Unless I didn't wait long enough then. In any case, I took a picture - and it's even fainter in the picture. It's the faint line to the right of the control line, in between the two darker lines
Anyway, I will see if it is darker or lighter tomorrow. I so hope this is not the trigger.

OMD! Lyd, that is AMAZING and so exciting! Keep POASing and letting us know what you see! I am so excited right now! Any twinges at all? My twinges this time came a little later than I had expected...more like 3, 4, 5 days post transfer. No implantation spotting for me this time (I think I may have had a little with my son).
I'm getting excited and nervous for my ultrasound on Friday. I just hope everything is looking ok in there. My boobs are so sore and I feel like they've grown a ton. Do you guys think that could be a combination of the Progesterone and BFP? I keep telling myself it's a good sign that things are happening. It's hard though...I haven't had a beta since my second one last Friday. It's just so hard to believe this could really be happening this time.

It's hard to judge by the boob soreness. Because breast tenderness is caused by elevated progesterone which is secrited by the embryo but is also given to us through PIO. So if you are more sore now than during your bfn cycles then you probably have more progesterone there and the embryo is making it. Can't wait to Friday to get the u/s results.

Lyd, thanks for the progesterone wisdom! They are definitely different than my BFN cycles and I remember crazy soreness with my cycle for my son, so hopefully we're on the right track. Did you POAS this morning? I know you are on CA time so you are probably still sleeping...definitely thinking of you though!!
