Okay ladies I know you all want healthy babies for a holiday wish...but thinking completely from a materialistic perspective, what is on your list for Santa this year (If you celebrate the holiday)??? It could be anything but it has to be for you and purely selfish. Its time to take care of Mom!

It's so hard to put things on my list. If I want something, I buy it for myself! =) I guess I fall on the more practical side, asking for gift cards for target or home depot. But if I had to be extremely SELFISH, I guess I would ask for a pregnancy massage . . . ther last one I had was AMAZING!!!!!!

Well my 36wk check up today... uneventful once again! No changes still, no further thinning, no dilation at all. BP 110/56 (my norm). No swelling, no problems that I could report. Sooooo I am still waiting. I go back Tues for my 37 wk, if I have not delivered between now and then. If I make it to that appt they are going to schedule my induction. The dr said that I am going to carry them too long at the rate Im going. But I cant complain, the babies are getting bigger by the day and I actually feel great. I only measure 38wks but everything is right on track. Who's not to say my water won't break tonight, but not looking like it right now. It sounds bad, but since they arent here yet, I would like for them to wait until Monday. I really dont want to be in the hospital over Christmas. I am a nurse and since I dont have kids I always volunteer to work Christmas, and I thought this is the one yr that I get to be at home for Christmas. But whenever they come it will be a blessing! I did confrim today
that even though I will be attempting a vaginal delivery that it will be done in the OR as a safety measure. Better safe than sorry!

Hi Everybody, sorry i fell of the radar for a bit here.

Longtimer - I am originally from India, currently residing in Chicago. Yes I kept having contractions (sometimes around 4-5 an hour that would taper off after that). even when I was doing nothing and despite that my cervical length grew. One thing though is that, even having gas feels like a contraction. Eating food triggers contractions too. Did they tell you to drink something sugary (juice) and lie on your side when contractions happen? Sugar n hydration are supposed to calm the uterus. That used to work for me.

Dallas - Good to hear that you are doing great!!

AFM - I spent the last few days freaking about the pressure in my pelvis. Even sitting up for a while is causing it. no bleeding or crazy contractions but some menstrual cramping once in a while (once or twice a day). I have my MFM appointment tomorrow anyway so keeping my fingers crossed. I hope I carry at least to 35 weeks. Did any one of you experience this at around 32 weeks and still have no problem?

Hello All -

I am an expectant dad; we are currently on our first IVF cycle with ED and surrogacy.
We transferred two 5 day blastocysts in November.
10dp5dt beta/hcg: 807
17dp5dt beta/hcg: 14,798
First ultrasound at 6.5 weeks: 2 sacs and 2 heartbeats. Twin A was tracking at 6 wks and 5days and Twin B was tracking at 6 wks and 4 days.
Everyone is healthy and well (babies and surrogate)

Our doctor tells us for twins we could expect a mid to late July 2012.
My fingers are crossed!
Our next ultrasound is next week -!

Hi DragonDad- congrats on your BFP! We have a gal on here (Katie) expecting a baby girl through what she calls her secret surrogate (the birth Mom of her first adopted daughter is pregnant again)...but you are our first official surrogate and our first Dad. Very happy for you and yours and looking forward to having you as part of the group.

I will put you on the list for late July when the updates come out over the weekend/Monday.


DALLAS- you are so close mama! And don't feel guilty at all about wanting to get through the weekend. I don't blame you for many reasons. You should enjoy that time if you can and also it doesn't hurt to avoid the dreaded Christmas birthday. Keep up the great work!

You guys, I couldn't resist the top test is 8dpo and the bottom is 9dpo. Holly smokes I am so excited. I know this could all change in a heartbeat- like not seeing a heartbeat at the u/s- but what the heck - for now I celebrate.

Thank you DragonDad, and thank you Bliss! Yes, happy holidays to me indeed and happy birthday, too. My ER was on my 40th birthday. How crazy was that yes, I am cautiously optimistic. Having been through the ringer a few times, I hate to know how many ways this could still go bad. But what the heck, I am optimistic. It's gotta work out sometime. Hopefully this is the time!

How is bedrest treating you, Bliss? I see you are managing to work. So the doc says its ok to sit up? 45 degrees or something?

addy- i will have an US in 2 weeks,.. but i have been having them once a week or more due to the OHSS so maybe we will see something sooner! i sure hope so!!
