Mellow - I teared up and had to show off you with your beautiful daughters to DH and DD. What a journey you have all had, but seeing your sweet little Marlo growing and thriving just makes me so very happy for you all. She is gorgeous!

Lou - I can't believe you're going back to work already! Take tissues babe, you'll need them. Best of luck in your child care search, it can be tough. Go with your gut instincts, you'll be amazed at how much your "sixth sense" kicks in as a mother and protector. Keep us posted.

I can't tell if my little Jaxy's found his ear or if he has a post cold ear infection cuz he's grabbing his left ear. I hope it's not painful cuz it's awfully cute to watch him play with it. :?

I would love to join everyone here...I cycled with a few of you during the summer of 2010 (an unsuccessful cycle). I then kept reading and following your stories, but didn't post during my second cycle which resulted in twins. I have found so much inspiration from reading your stories and can't believe that I am the mother of twins. It is everything I ever wanted, but I also feel that I need a support system that I can share this wonderful time with. I hope you don't mind me jumping in now.

I delivered my beautiful babies at 37 weeks. Isabel Vergene weighed 5 lb. 6 oz. and Mateo Delbert weighed 6 lb. 11 oz. Mateo swallowed lots of fluid and was in the NICU for 2 days. Isabel was born with a club foot (bent outward). She has been undergoing treatment since she was 6 days old (casts on her foot and leg to try to straighten it) and she will be having surgery on November 30.

I was extremely disappointed when I was unable to breastfeed. I gave it my best for 6 weeks. The babies were losing so much weight and I was stressed beyond belief. They are doing great on formula now.

I will be returning to work (I am a teacher) on January 3 and will be putting them in daycare. It breaks my heart and I am dreading that day.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you better and sharing this portion of the journey. Such beautiful babies and strong women you are...

Steph- I sure hope it wasnt an ear infection but I'm sure he's all better now.

Rebecca- I do remember you as I cycled aug 2010 with a bfn as well. I them had a bfn from a fet in oct and got a bfp on my jan 2011 cycle. My daughter was born sept 28th. Congrats on your twins! I am also going to put my baby in daycare when I go back to work. Sucks! But we need my income, esp since I make 30% mite than dh. As a teacher you at least get summers off to be with them, right? I'm in healthcare and even work most holidays. I hope your daughters surgery goes well on the 30th. Welcome! Let's see some pics of those beautiful babies.

AFM- Chloe is sleeping 6 hrs at night. When she wakes, she doesn't cry though, just a low pitched groan and chatter. If I don't get back with a bottle fast enough she falls back asleep! I wouldn't even hear her if she weren't in my room. It concerns me a little because I don't want her to miss a feeding as she can't take more without filling up to make it up at other feedings. How should I handle? Should I let her sleep our wake her to eat? How long is too long?

Lou: Brooke is an excellent sleeper and has been since about 8-10 weeks - she sleeps all night and doesn't wake for food. We call her "The Sleeper Cell", lol. When I found out that she had a slightly above average weight, I stopped worrying. I figured that if she's plump, healthy and happy then she was getting enough food without me having to wake her. We feed "on-demand". Brooke easily sleeps 8-9 hours most nights and tends to eat a large breakfast.

It looks like you should be having a well-check appointment soon. If your doctor doesn't tell you, ask about what weight percentile she's in. If she's on a healthy growth track, I wouldn't worry about it.

Rebecca: Welcome!

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is having the time of their lives with their LOs!

I'm feeling like our boys have officially fallen into a wonderful routine. Naps tend to occur in intervals with one baby snoozing while the other hangs out with Mom and Dad. Occasionally they nap at the same time but not very often. The best part is they hardly ever disturb each other when they are in their room at the same time. I am overjoyed that we've started to come into a "comfortable" stage of twin hood. LOL

Brady and Jaxon are beginning to "army crawl"! They see something they want, and they pull themselves to it. It's amazing!

What's everyone doing for Christmas presents? We're keeping it small this year.

Here's a pic of the boys with Santa... LOL!

Question for the twin moms...
For those who attempted a vaginal delivery did you attempt delivery in your L&D room or did you have to attempt delivery in the OR in case there were any issues that came up? I have been reading that alot of times even if you are going to attempt a vaginal delivery that they move you into the OR just to be safe.

Dallas - I delivered my twins in the OR. My hospital delivers all multiples there just in case a c-section is necessary. You are getting so close! Are you hoping to do a vaginal delivery? That was my hope, but I ended up with a c-section since my little boy kept changing positions on us. Good luck!

Baby_blu73 - I am also keeping Christmas presents small this year. I picked up a few little things that I though they would enjoy. My family will be buying them diapers and formula...keeping to necessities this year, but I am sure they will have a few surprises for the too. I love your Santa picture...your boys are adorable.

We also took our little ones to get Santa pictures done. I am not sure how to upload pictures though...maybe I will figure it out sometime. Today we are off the our first Christmas celebration. I am
Looking forward to all the fun that is to come! Happy holidays everyone!

Yes Rebecca I am hoping for a vaginal delivery. The boy has been lined up in the birth canal for over 3wks now and she is head down in line to follow. I was thinking that the OR was probably standard from what I have read. I am trying to hold out until the week after Christmas. I am 36wks so it could be at any moment! Just trying to comply with my bedrest right now!

Does anyone have any allergy concerns with their baby? I'm highly allergic to strawberries and now that Brooke is eating 2nd Foods, strawberry is an option. I'm too scared to give it to her but am also concerned that if I never give it to her that she might actually develop a sensitivity to it (there is an allergy school of thought that suggests that).

My plan is to ask her pediatrician during the her next appointment. I'd like to get an allergy test done on Brooke before I give her strawberries.

What, if any, allergic concerns do you have with your baby and what is your plan?

Regarding the allergy issue, my pediatrician told me it is not necessarily an inherited condition. I have concerns for my sons when it comes to sulpha drugs because I am allergic to them and so are most of my family. I am, therefore, skeptical that it is not inherited. It is hard to believe that so many people in my family are allergic to them if it is not hereditary.

Regarding what gifts we are giving this year: Our older son is getting a fair amount. However, I picked up an outfit and 4-5 small toys for Denver. I didn't spend much on him, but he won't notice one way or the other at this stage. It was the same when our older son was first born. I felt funny buying him gifts then because he didn't have a clue what was going on - he was a month old. Therefore, anything you get for them at that stage is just so that you don't feel bad that you didn't get them anything. At least, that is the way my husband and I feel about it.

Hi ladies! Can you believe it's less than a week until Xmas?! Yikes! I wanted to share the twins' Xmas pictures with you all. We took them ourselves rather than mess with going somewhere.

Mamaboo...your little Denver is gorgeous!

Eoe....hope you're all doing well!

Afm...twins are 5 1/2 months, rolling over, eating oatmeal and yellow/orange veggies and FINALlY sleeping through the night! They did that one day apart! Merry Christmas to me!!!!
