Hi guys! I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. I know this time of year can also be very difficult and stir up a lot of hard memories and the heartache of hopes and dreams that remain unfulfilled. I really hope that we will all be blessed in 2012 and that this coming year will be kind to us. There are so many beautiful, strong women here who deserve a break.

Kerri - Good luck with this coming cycle! For my first antagonist cycle I was supposed to do both shots together in the evening, but then it turned out I wasn't monitored closely enough in the beginning, so I went in for an ultrasound and it was already very late to begin the antagonist so they had me administer it right then and there, which landed me on a morning - antagonist, evening - stims schedule. Second antagonist cycle I did the antagonist and Gonal-F+Luveris together in the evening. I was told there is no real difference, the important thing is just that the antagonist is taken at the same time every day. It does seem, though, that some REs have a preference for one way or the other, so it would be interesting to know why.

LauraN - The unpleasant dreams sound like another pregnancy symptom :) Glad to hear you are having a good trip. I hope you enjoy the time with your extended family.

LYD - I am so excited for you! I hope the bloating will be manageable - lots of Gatorade and chicken broth is definitely the way to go. Good luck with your beta tomorrow!

Leora - That is so sad and crazy about your friend. I think guys have a tendency to make unilateral decisions sometimes and I definitely see it as a bad thing - not that they are impulsive or don't think things through properly - but that they sometimes make huge decisions with no direct input from the other person or people directly involved. What a horrible shock for your friend - obviously, I don't know the details of their situation and relationship, but I can't imagine. Waiting to hear how the beta and ultrasound go today. Also, does the RE say definitely a 3 month break after the mtx, or is there any flexibility/matter of opinion in the exact length of the break?

blue - So sorry you are going through this with your DH's family. I know it must be super difficult to re-live the loss again, now with them. I am sending you lots of good vibes for your FET.

jayne - It sounds like you have your hands full right now! I really hope this next cycle will be a great success for you. You are in my thoughts.

Gina - Sounds like a great day! Let me know how you like the Kindle Fire - I am tempted to get one.

Sunshine - Ooh, a walk on the beach - that sounds so lovely! Glad to hear you had such a nice Christmas:)

Tess - Good luck on Thursday! I guess it's the middle of summer for you - right? It sounds so nice.

kala - That's so interesting that the RE's office is so extravagant - I'd like to see pictures of what an extravagant fertility clinic looks like…I'm intrigued:) Glad to hear things are looking good. Best of luck with this FET. I hope you are catching up on rest now, I am sure the trip was exhausting.

bonnie - Sorry to hear about the OHSS, but congrats on great betas! That's wonderful!

Ninde - I am so sorry that you are feeling blue lately. This time of year can be wonderful but also so, so hard. Thinking of you.

We - You and your son and the rest of your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. I know this is a hard holiday season for you. I hope your head is feeling better - migraines SUCK! I am rooting for you that this FET will be your big break and bring you a healthy pregnancy.

kbillsy - Wow!!! Congrats x3!!! Best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy that ends with 3 healthy babies!

Anton - How are you doing? Happy 2012 to you!

AFM - Things are going pretty well, though we had a scare Friday night when I started bleeding bright red. We were both terrified. The bleeding slowed down but we went to the ER on Saturday to see what was going on. The ultrasound machine was pretty crappy, but we could see 2 heartbeats, so that was a huge relief. I had ketones in my urine so apparently I was pretty dehydrated so I got some fluids, too. I have to better about taking Zofran on a regular schedule. We had another u/s yesterday, this time a regularly scheduled one at the clinic, and things look good. I am a little worried about my fibroids, which seem to be growing a lot with the pregnancy. My RE suggested I stay home for a few days to rest and make sure that the bleeding has stopped.

Question - Is there a blood test that can be done where you know if AF is here or not? I'm calling before the week is over about this bleeding. I'll mention the PCOS (my records aren't here yet and never been to this clinic before) so maybe they can tell what is causing this or if it's just AF.

Gina - They should be able to get a picture of what is going on by checking your progesterone and estrogen levels. Hope you get some answers soon!

Hi all, I am still bloated as all hell. I am about 8 lb of water and look like I am 2nd trimester pregnant. It is really weird. I can hardly walk with difficulty. Bummer! I wanted to cook this week all sorts of yummy dishes. Instead this morning I made a run to the store o buy some pickled herring. I need to eat protein because I am losing it through urine and getting muscle aches - and herring is the only thing I could envision eating.

Anyway, it sucks, but I guess this is the price for a BFP. Tomorrow I find out the number. And my doc gets into town tomorrow as well. The oncall doc was helpful to calm me down. But she didn't sound very knowledgeable about ohss.

Lyd10, I know the feeling but tomorrow is going to be YOUR day and I cannot wait to hear all about your beta results. What a great way to ring in the new year!

Rosie, very glad everything is ok and maybe a few days of bedrest would help the bleeding and fibroids.

AFM: Been kinda quiet around the boards but sometimes we need a break to "recharge our batteries" as my RE puts it. lol
I'm trying so hard to stay away from all the sweets and cookies at work but it's hard when "it's" right there in front of us. Here's to healthier eatting in 2012!

Good morning, y'all! I know it's slow because of the holidays -- I'm sure things will pick up next week!

Nicole - how was Mission Impossible? We love stupid action movies.

Lydia - I agree - this stupid ecotpic is taking way too long to resolve and we are nowhere near the end yet. UGH. I can't wait for your super beta number today! I hope they can help with your OHSS

Jayne - I wish I could get off this damned ride. This is ridiculous. Like we have to go through every possibly horrible outcome. I'm so nervous to get pregnant again because I'm terrified of what kinds of horrors that will bring. I'm so sorry about your mom's chemo. I'm glad you could make the decision to go one more time with your eggs - good luck in Feb! That's sooner than you think!

Gina - those sound like awesome presents! How are you liking the Kindle Fire? I keep telling DH that if (when... more realistically) I end up on bed rest, I'll want a tablet computer.

Christy - yeah! Another Christmas survived in retail! :D My dog also loves strangers. He would never be a good guard dog -- if someone broke in, Johnny would just go investigate if that person would give him a tummy-rub or ear-scratch!

Wendy (Tess) - so weird, but it must be summertime in New Zealand. Christmas in summertime? That's so weird for us "northern hemisphere gals" :D But I guess you are used to it! I'm hoping your beta is zero on Thursday too - will you be starting again right away?

Kala - hurray! Congrats on traveling across the world with a toddler. Your lining sounds great -- good luck on Thursday!

Rosie - hurray! I love that little ticker :D

AFM -
just depressed and angry. I can't believe this stupid pregnancy isn't ending like it's supposed to. 3 weeks ago we found out that this wouldn't be a viable pregnancy -- I'm not sad anymore, I'm just angry! I so badly want to start again and put this behind me.

The doctor says that even though my levels are going up (although they dropped a bit yesterday - from 291 to 279 in 24 hours, but the clinic says that's not indicative of anything because 24 hours isn't enough time in between), the levels are still low enough that we shouldn't do the mtx yet.

We are waiting until Sunday for another blood test and u/s (yesterday's u/s showed something for the first time - a teeny tiny sac in my uterus, which is apparently common with ectopic - called a "pseudosac"). I'm hoping this will all be over soon.

Yesterday was really hard. I can't believe it's been 2 years of non-stop trying to conceive our rainbow baby and I still have empty arms. After the appt at the clinic, I just called in sick, went home and slept all day.

Our show opens tonight!

Leora- I'm really liking it!! Got a nice leather cover for it yesterday. Yes when on bedrest you'll need something to do :) I have my laptop, kindle fire and next trying for an Ipad! We'll see once we meet our IVF savings goal.

I'm so sorry you are going through all of that! I hope it will hurry up and go down so you can get started again!!!

Maria- I hope things are going well. I know the Holidays were hard for your family. How is your son? Everything still on track with your RE? :)

AFM- Just enjoying everything. Missed being around my family in the states but we had a great Christmas Eve/Day. Was wonderful. DH went back to work after a week off and I slept until 11:30. I was kind of awake anyway but hubby called to see if I was okay because DS usually has me up before then.....However he slept until almost 1pm lol. He was up late playing the new star wars online and we went to bed.

Hello ladies

Lyd10: good luck today :D im really to hear you are in so much pain and the ohss sounds pretty nasty. Did you manage to get any rest or is it very difficult to sleep?

Blue: I think my next movie will either be mission impossible or the girl with the dragon tattoo. How was christmas day?

Christy: bailey is like your guy. We have a window cleaner who comes around and its normally when dh is here, one week I asked would he clean my back windows and i would bring bailey in because he is big and I wasnt sure how he would be with the ladder and the guy coming over the garage and he told me it was fine he usually just put the ladder over our flat roofed garage and climbed down into our back when he did the back windows and bailey runs around the bottom of the ladder til he was able to be patted!!!! I knew he was friendly but thats ridiculous!!!! When do your sales start in retail?

Jayne: how is your mum doing? And congrats on going with your eggs. You and i may be cycling together then :D

Rose: thank you. Im really glad your bleeding has stopped, that must have been awful. Will anything be done with your fibroids?

Kala: wow, what an experience. Good luck on thurs

Kbillsy: how are you doing?

Tess: I would love that ticket :-) how are you doing?

Bodie: did you have a good Christmas day

Leorira: oh this is just awful for you. I think you are brilliant to be able to continue with the show - break a leg :-) I cant imagine what yesterday must have been like and im so sorry.

Maria: I know you are away but if you check in online I hope your break is going well.

Indigo: how are you doing in the 2ww?

Gina: I have the Motorola zoom tablet rather than the kindle fire but the fire looks great.

Afm: hip still hurts, not as badly but im waiting for my osteo to start work again to get some work done. I may go to the gym for my session with my trainer butbi think I'll use it to get him to write out a dietplan as this one isnt really working and just do a short upper body training session with light weights. I love that he has progressed me to using heavy weights but i think my hip won be up to even upper body working hard. I hate when my hip and pelvis go but hopefully I'll be back on track soon because its only aboutb7 weeks to transfer all going well and I know the hospital will stop me if im not 10lbs down

Hi all! I need to get caught up on the board, although it was a little slow, still stuff was coming through, so more personals later.

AFM- My DH told his family Christmas Eve and everyone was super excited. Lots of congrats, etc around the room. They wanted to know due date, etc. Then, they started telling all of the stories of their pregnancies and deliveries and wanted to know what we wanted, boy or girl. It was all very fun, but I'm still scared, so I want to be excited, but too scared to be too excited. I don't like that feeling. My MIL made the comment on Sunday that she knew that if God wanted us to have children together that it would happen....I just smiled, nothing to say to that. And when we were over the cousin's house on Christmas Day, my DH's cousin looked at me and said that it was going to be twins, a boy and a girl. She knows nothing about the IVF or anything! That was almost spooky! I just smiled and said that would be our dream and left it at that. So, the telling went much better than my nightmares, which is great. Now, I'm just nervously waiting until Jan 4th for the ultrasound. I'll be 7 weeks and 1 day so we should for sure see the heartbeats, right? It seems like forever away and I know it's only 1 week and 1 day away. I'll try doing one of those tickler thingies that go on the bottom of my signature once I have a few minutes and hopefully I can figure out which thing to copy and paste. Last time I tried it was too big or something. I have been off work for an entire week, so now it's catch up time, plus, all of my other coworkers are off this week, so I'm the backup for at least 2 of my 3 coworkers- I hope all of their providers offices are busy this week and too busy to call me

LauraN - I just did this yesterday! For some reason, it doesn't like the html code and instead of recognizing it as code, it just recognizes it as characters. There should be an option to select the "BBcode" when you make the ticker - this is the code that will work in your signature. Hope this helps! Sounds like a great Christmas and glad to hear everyone got to share in your excitement :)

Ninde - At this point, nothing can really be done about the fibroids to my knowledge, other than to keep watching them. I had a hysteroscopy last Feb after they were identified, and at that point they were borderline to be worth the hassle and possible complications of the surgery, so I was advised to sit tight and then do a repeat hysteroscopy if IVF failed to reconsider surgery. Of course, IVF did fail initially but I thought we'd wait until it had been a year since the original hysteroscopy before reconsidering. Now I'm just stuck with 'em, so I hope they will leave the babies alone! Good luck with the workout/diet plan - it sounds like you are on the right track.

Gina - Glad you had a great Christmas and got to sleep in!

Leora - I hope Sunday brings good news. This wait never freaking ends…I am so frustrated for you.

LYD - Good luck today! Unfortunately, the OHSS might stick around quite a bit longer. It sounds like the rising hCG (obviously a good thing!) is making your ovaries quite angry, so while this all bodes very well for the pregnancy, I am sorry it is making you miserable:( I hope the RE will be able to help you be more comfortable.

Sunshine - Funny you write about the sweets - I normally am a junk foodaholic but the past month or so, sweets just don't appeal to me, except for today - now all of the sudden I would loooove some chocolate:)

AFM - Not much to report. I just feel really low-energy and blah. I think I am managing the morning sickness better with taking the Zofran regularly. I am a bit of an emotional basketcase - I started sobbing hysterically while watching Teen Mom 2!
