Thanks, Bonnie! I am loving the Vicodinbonnieucwv wrote:Hello ladies!!
today makes me 5 weeks and i had to go for an US due to my OHSS,.... and they found at least one sac and a questionable second one!!!!! I guess one good thing has come out of getting all this extra monitoring!!!! so very excited for next wednesday to get another ultrasound!!!
LYD that is great on the beta!! I def understand the pain that comes with the extra fluid!!! Im thinking of you!
Wow, LauraN,so you haven't had an U/S yet? Your doc sound like my doc -in no rush to take a look at 5 weeks. He will wait till 6.5 or 7 before looking iniside. But it sounds like you are pretty sure you ll have at least 2 in there. Which is a good guess, I would say. To answer your question, my PIO goes till 10 weeks. And I do not have estrogen patches, cause my estrogen was very high due to fresh transfer. But with my frozen I went to 10 weeks with everything.LauraN wrote:Lyd- congrats on the beta...sucks on the pain! Cant wait to hear your beta later this week!
Bonnie- how exciting getting the ultrasound. And I think.you and I will both have our utrasound on the same day next week....the 4th. I will be 7weeks and 1 day at that ultrasound, but it will be my first with this pregnancy. We are hoping to be able to see the heartbeats at the ultrasound.
Question for everyone else... The estrogen patches...how long do they.generally keep you on them? And on the progesterone shots, do they keep you doing them until you are 12 weeks, or through to the end of your 12th week?
My RE only cared about my thyroid. Thats the only one they checked for me. Also, our issue was male factor, so the eggs were not in question so much, except for the age thing.Gina1976 wrote:Now is the time for me to get into high gear and get my body as ready as possible! Any tips and/or advice? I'm starting on Jan 2...gives me time to enjoy New Years Eve!My BMI is under what "My RE" wants. I'm going to give myself about a month before I go get my blood work. I want to weight in less than I do now. Going to see if I need Metformin again (I'm sure I will ) and get my Thyroid medication again. Last time I was told my GOOD Cholesterol was low but my BAD was fine. Which began my healthy eating craze even more! I don't think I've been back for more test because of our move here. So getting back to the healthy eating again. I stopped about 3 months ago. Luckily I never started back on soda's or sweet tea except one or two times a month. I drink water or grapefruit juice.
Oh and does your RE like everything good as far as blood work BEFORE they treat you? Like Cholesterol, hormones, Thyroid and the many others? I ask because we'll be flying to do our IVF and if things are okay prior they may put me on hold. My last RE was treating me and did NO B/W at all!
LauraN, I agree with you. More kids could actually cost less! 'Cause you are not driving them to various activities as much, because they can play with each other and entertain each other at home . Wow, a single mom with 2 year age difference! I admire you! Sometimes I almost have nervous breakdowns with my only DS - and my DH is by my side to help. Thats really impressive how you pulled that off and at such young age.LauraN wrote:Lyd- thanks for the response. I am such an inpatient person that it is driving me crazy, but they like to wait until.6 1/2 to 7 weeks so that you get to see the heartbeat. I think it would be great if you are going to have twins....and on the money , I think.people get caught up with having everything that they think their kids are going to want, but it is so not about things.I was a single mom for 11 years and my youngest was 5 months old amdy oldest 2 1/2. There were a lot of stuff that we didnt have, but, the boys are doing great and are no worse without having all of the stuff. On the PIO...I hope we only have to go 10 weeks...my butt is so sore and so bruised up.
