Matthew Patrick was born 1/1/12 (first baby of the new year born at our hospital) I will post more later this week. Everyone is doing great! 22 inches long, 7 pounds 15 ounces

Thanks everyone for your guidance on the nursery setup. We picked out a paint color yesterday (pale pink) and my DH is painting today!! Sooooo exciting.

Addy - congratulations!!!! A new years baby and our first for 2012. Thats wonderful.

Awww our first new year baby on here, congrats Addy!
Dh told me this morning for Florida, a 37 year old delivered twins yesterday. It made me think she most likely underwent IVF too, but we love successful stories like this...

AFM - I am still taking things day by day. I just made another milestone - 26 wks today. At my growth visit last week we found out that baby c's growth has slowed so we are monitoring again on Wednesday. I have really increased my protein intake so we shall see. I also had to stop the ibuprofen, contractions are still off and on and my tolerance for nifedipine is not great so admission to the hospital is in my near future---Ugh! At the end of the day we just need to do what we have to to keep them in as long as possible.

What a terrific surprise Addy! You did it mama and I can't wait to hear all about it. Take care of yourself and rest up.

So curious as to whether you were on the news or receive anything for being the first. I've heard rumors that there are goodies for the family with the first baby of the year and wonder if its true?

AFM- tomorrow may be the day for Dallas and me. We tried to go ahead and do the amnio today but my fluid was low so we cancelled it. I am receiving fluids by IV in the hopes that we see the fluid level improve and can do an amnio tomorrow. However if there is not enough fluid we will go ahead and induce.

Dallas- The race is on!

ttcnb-you are doing so well. I hope you don't have to go in the hospital yet but if you do its the best place to be. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Of course if my fluid level increases there is still a strong possibility we may not deliver tomorrow if her lungs aren't mature.

Bliss and Dallas - i ll be thinking of you guys. Sending you good vibes for smooth completion of your pregnancies! Wow, the time flew by. I still remember your first BFPs.

Afm, relaxing day today. DS is in daycare and I am enjoying the last day of vacation. Dh and i went out for Korean for lunch and stuffed ourselves full of short ribs. yum!
Still looking 6 months pregnant with the water. People at the playground asked me I am due. ha! Not soon enough for it to be anybody's business. I picked up a couple of big sweaters from mom to wear to work this week. Let's see how well that hides it. But i cant complain - the water belly is a nuisance, but if this is the worst thing happens to me this pregnancy I will be eternally grateful!!!

LYD- I totally look 6 months pregnant too and I am only 12 weeks. It seems the IVF bloat (or fat LOL) is here to stay. I cannot imagine what I will look like at 9 months pregnant if I am this huge already!

Addy- CONGRATS!!! And you thought he wasn't coming anytime soon. Did you get anything special from the hospital! What an awesome birthday

AFM- I made it to 12 weeks- YAHOO!!!!! NO bleeding in over 2 weeks and DH and I even 'did it' and no bleeding! It's been since late September/early October since we had and that was wayyyyyy too long! I was so nervous but it was fine. I was able to find my little drama bean on the Doppler 9 hours later with a strong HB of 172 I have my NT U/S on the 9th, I cannot WAIT to see this baby again!! I have been craving Tomatoes like crazy. I just sent poor DH to the store to pick some up. I cannot get ENOUGH. It must be something my body really needs.

Hoping 2012 is going to be an awesome year! I am so ready for the Spring and of course July to get here!

TTCNB - I'll be keeping you in my thoughts, please keep us posted.

AFM - we flew in to see our surrogate. Tomorrow we take her for to the spa for a Milk Bath and prenatal massage, then lunch, then shopping, and finally for an U/S (8 weeks 5 days). It will be our first time seeing the twins "in person" in an ultrasound. We're very excited!
