Congrats on your FET. Your history is not good, but it looks like you never had blasts before, and these were high quality blasts, too. This is new for you. The factors that cause blasts to arrest are different than those that cause cleavage stage embryos to arrest, so perhaps these came from truly better eggs than you ever had before.miyaya wrote:HI ghost, well I have completed 4 negative IVF's. My last cycle I retrieved 19 eggs, 17 fertilized with ICSI and 11 develped normally. We did a day 2 transfer given my history of poor embryo quality and my embies petering out as days go one. We transferred 4...1 2 cell, no frag, 2 4 cells with minimal frag and 1 6 cell, minimal frag. We were not hopeful any would freeze given they way they looked day 2. However all 7 reminaing made it to day 5 and 3 ended up as 5AA or 5AB blasts. My RE was shocked. We just did a FET and transferred all three. My protocol has been estrace 2mg 2x day and vivelle patch. Add progesterone day 11 (endometrium 2x daily) and transfer 6 days later. I am currently in my wait. My question is, is there a good chance this could work despite my history???
You might ask your RE for his/her opinion regarding growth hormone. There is some evidence that it can improve egg quality.miyaya wrote:Just thought I would close the loop. It appears my history was relevant, to my dismay. My three embryo's survived the thaw beautifully and did not lose any cells. They were essentially as good after as before freeze. However, we ended the cycle with another chemical. I did increase my endometrium 3x day and it never really mattered. So we are at a loss, literally. We have one more cycle left however my heart is just not in it. But b/c we paid for a 2 cycle bundle, we kinda have to proceed. I am requesting for an auto immune panel be run on my blood to see if there is somethign we are not catching and will ask for another saline sono....can you think of anything else? At this point I am hesitant to change protocols as with long lupron at least we know I produce...
I don't know much about it. What did your RE say? I can try to ask one of the docs.miyaya wrote:thanks ghost for your replies. you are always helpful. I did indeed have my consult and discussed growth hormone. Give my family history of breast cancer, they did not feel as though I was a good candidate for growth hormone. However, they did do a huge panel of anto immune testing and it came back with elevated LAc levels (lupus anticoag antibodies...I think). It appears that they can treat this without guarantee....any thoughts?
I'll try to ask about this.miyaya wrote:he said that it is an antibody in my blood that has been known to casue clotting issues in women and can cause early miscarriage due to the blood cells clotting/attacking the embryo or placenta. Apparently it is treated just as many other auto immune diseasae related to fertility....levonox injections, baby aspirin and some time dexamethasone therapy.
After talking to an RE, it seems I can't add anything to what your RE already said.miyaya wrote: Ghost....thank you. Any information you can provide woudl be greatly appreciated.
