Gina-I completely understand. After one failed IUI and 3 failed IVF's I know exactly what you mean. Iys so unfortunate that IVf is so expensive and out of the reach sometimes of those who need it most. I pray that you and DH are ableto find a way to make this happen.

Grrr - stupid site ate my post

Well I am not going to re-type my full message again but I'll try to at least post something since I've been absent for a while now. Holidays were great but we were very busy with houseguests, dr appointments, traveling, cleaning, etc. I'm glad that things should settle down for a while now.

Great news on the board over the last few weeks! I'm so happy to see all of the positive HPT, betas and ultrasounds - congrats ladies!!

AFM - went for 2nd U/S last week (12/29) and got to hear all 3 heartbeats! It was very cool and helped me to feel better that everything is ok. They are all still about the same size and the dr office seems very pleased with their progress. I go back tomorrow 1/6 for another U/S and then they are talking about releasing me in the next week or two. Catch is they will only release me to a perinatal b/c I am considered high risk with 3 so I can't just go to my ob. Unfortunately I live out in the sticks - there is only 1 perinatal that is affiliated with the hospital that is ~25 minutes from me. If I drive up to the closest major city, then there are several different practices of perinatals that are affiliated with much better hospitals. I am leaning towards the extra drive to make sure me and the babies get the best care possible given all that we have already been through to get to this point. I made an appt with that perinatal practice for next week 1/11 - assuming all goes well we will likely just stick with them.

I've also had some more spotting/bleeding issues but the dr offices doesn't seem too concerned since there haven't been any clots and the spotting usually stops within a day. So I'm trying not to worry about it too much. I've also been getting more and more nauseous - even got sick a few times earlier this week. I feel like I'm not eating very healthy - mostly toast, crackers, cereal and pasta. Anything else either grosses me out or I have a hard time keeping down - hopefully my prenatal vitamin is supplementing the rest of what the babies need.

I got my flu shot yesterday. Have you pg ladies gotten your flu shots yet???

Gotta get back to work but I will be better about posting now that I am online and working daily again.

Lauren - Fertile Max is sold in my clinic, but you can also order it online at http://www.fertilemax.com. Fertilemax contains some Coq10 but doesnt say how much. So my DH took 200mg of Coq10 (bought at the CVS pharmacy) plus a doze of Fertilemax every day. the fertility suppliments are expensive - about $60/month supply. but since the cycle costs so much more - it is worth it.

Maria - your HPTs look fantastic! You are almost done POASing so it doesnt matter - but i have a POAS trick that seems to produce concentrated urine for me any time of day. I go to the bathroom and empty my bladder fully first. Then i wait 1-2 min and pee in the cup. i am able to squeeze just a few more drops into the cup at that point - enough to dip the peestick in. this usually gives me the darkest line - regardless if it is morning or evening. but i dont know if everyone's body works that way. we are so crazy! the things we do

Leora - i am glad you are going on a cruise - you deserve some R&R - and it will be such a nice break from the routine. Good luck with the clinic change! it sounds like you can get the same results at a closer place.

Kbillsy - wow 3 babies! you are doing fantastic!

Sunshine - i hope you qualify for the program and get your financins soon - so you can start right away and not wait till summer!

Kala - so sorry about the BFNs so far. But as Maria says, its not over till beta day. What races does your husband participate in? You are such a strong woman to be flying across continent alone!

AFM, i was reassured by my embryologyst that my 3rd beta is fine. she said she was quite optimistic based on my first two strong numbers. And she is never optimistic. she is the most conservative and negative person i know!!! so i felt much better when i got her email. now i wish i never went for the 3rd beta - sometimes more information is not always better. but whatever - it is a busy day at work, which is good because it keeps me from obsessing.
also, we are having issues with DS trying to switch him from bottle to sippy cup. we are late doing that - he will be 2 in march. but he is so stubborn. he refuses to drink from teh sippy cup. he went for 2 days streight without drinking much and got so constipated - i couldnt take it - i broke down - and we are back to bottle. if anyone has got any pointers please share. maybe i should try a different sippy cup - the kind with a straw.

Regarding your sippy cup issue first off you are not late...there are no timelines in the world of kiddos only guidelines so don't beat yourself up over that! We had same issue with our LO on the bottle to sippy cup so we found these Nuk bottles that had a sippy cup shaped top but was soft like a bottle nipple & she seemed to take to that. She is 3 now and either drinks out of a cup or takes a hard sippy cup when she goes to bed at night....she still needs that to soothe her to sleep....good luck and congratulations again on your pregnancy!

Thank you. We are trying really hard to get there! We HOPE to have it around late summer! If so we hope to use the military hospital in MD, so we'll have a DC trip for DS! He LOVES History!

We had same issue with our LO on the bottle to sippy cup so we found these Nuk bottles that had a sippy cup shaped top but was soft like a bottle nipple & she seemed to take to that. She is 3 now and either drinks out of a cup or takes a hard sippy cup when she goes to bed at night....she still needs that to soothe her to sleep....good luck and congratulations again on your pregnancy!

Loera: Oh yes they are back together but believe me its even madder than what you are reading. Thankfully i got the car back this evening, its only 4 years old and usually very reliable whic is one of the reasons i went for a volvo but as a result unfortunately it had to be a volvo part rather than generic which made it more expensive. Great news about your holiday. Whwere are you hoping to go to?

Afm: tired, long but good day today. Had a planning meeting around the suicide group I work with. Myself and the other psychologist felt we needed to tweak it a bit as a couple of the group are struggling more than we thought. Other than that just usual client work.

Hi ladies! Just woke up from a nap, and the transfer is complete. Things went off without a hitch. The worst part of it for me is always sitting there so long with a full bladder. I'll post a pic of our embies when I can get it from DH's phone. One of them was almost completely hatched, and the RE said that one should implant today and the other tomorrow if they are to do so.

A catch though - they drew my blood, and my progesterone is borderline, so I get to add a PIO shot every other day to the Endometrin. Messy suppositories AND knots on my @ss. Yay me! Thank goodness it's just over a week to my beta, when they will test levels again though. I'm not surprised though, really, as the suppositories haven't seemed to be absorbing too well lately.

Leora - the stats were the doctor's and I didn't ask how she derived them. She said the better embryo had a 68% chance of sticking, and the other a 64% chance, so I suspect it's some combination of the two. As with all stats though, it depends on who you ask. Unfortunately the clinical trial didn't allow us to find out the gender of the embies transferred, even though the clinic knows. I'll probably harass them for the info again if I get a BFP.

Barb - heck yes I'm going to POAS. I have 15 tests ordered on line all set and ready to pee on. I was going to wait until Tuesday but we'll see how long I hold out.
