Look at all of the gorgeous babies on this thread!

Alisa- Congratulations!!!! What a beautiful picture! I'm so glad that everything worked out with Evie. She's already a drama queen!

Dallas- What beautiful names! Congratulations on your beautiful babies!

Nwquiz- Right down to the wire! I'm glad that you made it to the hospital in time! Congrats on that precious baby!

Smoon- What lovely pictures! Hope you are doing well!

Anton- You are so sweet to check over on this board. This year is YOUR year! You will bring home a baby!

Bodie- I don't think you need 2 diaper bags. My husband and I each have our own diaper bag, but that's because I really wanted a Petunia Picklebottom bag that had a lot of flowers on it....not exactly something DH would carry :D

AFM- I had another ultrasound and check-up last Thursday...not the best appointment. My cervix only a little shorter than 4 cm, but my baby boy's head is sitting right on my cervix. They can't really get a good look at his head because he's so low (my sonographer says he's in the "paw-paw patch." When you put a little pressure on him, my cervix starts funneling and shortens to 2.7 cm. So they told me to cut my schedule back to half days at work. It's a big mess with rescheduling patients, but my babies are the most important people right now! I just hope that cutting back on my schedule keeps them in there! My next ultrasound is a week from today, and we'll see how everything looks then. Also, I failed the 1 hour GD test, so I go back this Thursday for the 3 hour GTT. My sister had GD with all of her babies, so I assumed it would be positive. I'm really not too upset about the GD, I just want my cervix to hold!

Quick question for you all...What do you think of cord blood banking? Are any of you doing it? It seems quite expensive, and I've heard it's a racket, but I also want to everything I can for these babies... Thanks for any advice!

Hi ladies & gent! I have a few minutes, so I thought I'd check in.

Wishingandhoping- So sorry that you have to cut back on your schedule? Does that mean modified bed rest also? What a bummer about your GD test; hopefully, you do better on Thursday. DH & I are considering cord blood banking. We've done some research & came across a company called Maze. The website is http://www.mazecordblood.com/index-1a.php. Also, here's a chart that compares Maze to other leading cord blood labs: http://www.mazecordblood.com/cordblood-expecting-c.html. I guess the way they say they have lower costs is b/c they do minimal marketing & advertising.

longtimerivf- I always forget how far along you are since you don't have a ticker. How are you feeling?

anton- Hey there friend! This year is YOUR year!

Mora- How is it going? How was today's u/s? How does maternity leave work for you? Are you able to take the typical 12 weeks FMLA? That's what we have here at my school districts...a total of 12 weeks FMLA of which either 6 weeks (vaginal delivery) or 8 weeks (C-section) is paid for if you have the sick days. You can get up to the 12 weeks paid as long as you have a doctor's note & the sick days. I only have exactly 8 weeks worth of sick days, so I will be paid for either 6 weeks or 8 weeks, depending on how I deliver, but I plan on using the FMLA, so I don't have to go back to school & can just roll right into summer vacation & not go back until September!

Alisa- What a fantastic birth story! You & your family look beautiful!

Barbara- Wow, I just looked at your ticker! You're so close to the 2nd trimester! Where is the time going?

bodie- As a mother-to-be of twins (by the way, I love saying & typing that, lol!), I'm only getting 1 diaper bag. DH actually got a Oakland Raiders (he's die-hard fan originally from CA) diaper bag for Christmas from our SIL. It's awesome....black & very manly! This is one I'm looking into & will probably put on my registry: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... =586733722. It actually matches w/ the Baby Trend Sit 'n Stand Double Stroller (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... Id=3480233). We are getting that stroller & the Baby Trend Double Snap N Go Stroller (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... Id=2958408).

kbillsy- Congrats times 3! My SIL has triplet boys. They are 8 years old & so much fun! Definitely take it easy, but I'm sure you'll be fine. I told my principal & a few close teacher friends between weeks 8 & 10. I told the rest of the staff as soon as I started my 2nd trimester. Many people said they had a feeling b/c "I looked different" & was leaving school early & coming in late.

nwquiz- Wow, what a crazy birth story! I would've been scared in the car, too! You almost delivered in it! Your little man is adorable!

EOE- Hope you're all doing great! I read daily & love seeing everyone's updates!

AFM- We had an appointment on Friday & everything looks great! They're still a boy & a girl, lol! The boy is measuring 1lb 3oz & the girl is measuring 1lb. I go back on February 7th...I will be almost 27 weeks...yikes! We are doing a maternity photo shoot this Saturday & another one in March...looking forward to those! Have an awesome week!

Hello again ladies (and Dragon Dad)! I am trying so hard to get caught up with everybody's stories, but I'm not quite ready for personals yet. I am reading and getting to know you guys as the days go by though!

Congratulations to all the moms with recent deliveries! That is so exciting and it sounds like everybody has been doing well. I love reading the updates and the delivery stories.

I have been trying to identify how many twin/triplet folks are out there on this thread; Moorebaby, bodie1011, Dragon Dad, and TTCNB. Did I miss anybody? I am so curious to hear your stories, especially because you are at different stages of the pregnancy.

AFM, last Monday was the first ultrasound with 2 heartbeats for us. I can't believe we are having twins! We were pretty much in shock and spent the day truly absorbing the reality of having more than one baby (we have a son that will be two in a few weeks). Of course we are thrilled, but I do think we realized our lives will be changing drastically too! I was so worried about the babies over this past week and we had another ultrasound today and everything looked good with both babies and their development. Now I feel like I can truly start to believe and start reading up on twin pregnancy, etc...Do you guys have any suggestions for great books to learn about twin pregnancy, preparing for life with twins, etc...?

Would any of you be interested in joining a twin/multiples thread? I certainly don't want to impact this thread, I was just thinking it might be a nice opportunity for information sharing...

Talk to you soon and again, I'll keep reading to get to know everybody:)

Quick update-
I am still having trouble with the pre eclampsia. I thought that the end of it would be resolved shortly after delivery. My BP yesterday was still up to 180's/114! Oncall Dr. made me come in today for a check up. The 2 grandmothers babysat while DH and I went. I never thought that I would have to be away from them so soon. The Dr. put me on bedrest and a high dose of BP med twice a day. I check back in on Wed unless its not improving prior to then. I believe she wanted to put me back into the hospital.. but that would have really made my BP and stress level go up. Hopefully I will have time to post my birthing story soon. Trying to rest as much as possible while I have family here to help.

Otherwise......
The babies are fabulous!!!!! They eat every 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. I am able to pump which is allowing me to breast feed with a small amt of supplementing. I never knew how much I would love being a mommy! I know understand what people mean when the talk about the love they have for their child times 10! I just stare at them, I feel like I kiss them so much that I will kiss their cheeks off!

Congrats Alisa!!!!!
