Congratulations on having twins!!! That is fantastic honey!!!! You did it!!!! May you have a healthy pregnancy all the way!! Wonderful, wonderful news!!!

Congratulations for an amazing beta!!!! I am thinking on minimum twins but I am betting all my money on healthy baby/babies!!!! Keep up the good work!!


Maria- I can’t wait for your amazing beta tomorrow! Try enjoy your pregnancy and make happy thoughts! What happened in the past is in the past and it doesn’t mean is going to happen again! Focus on your Lo/Lo’s growing and be positive! My prayers are with you! Oh! Almost forgot! I LOVE your ticker!!! Now that’s the spirit!!

AFM-Have a nice rest of the day girls! Sunday is almost over in my part of the world...20:20pm ...Outside is freezing and raining and I am sitting next to the fire place home, checking on my cyber IVF buddies ....Today is my Dad’s 71st birthday and we had a wonderful day at my parents house for lunch with BBQ and sweets and games around the fire place. ....I really wanted to give him a grandchild by now So far my brother has one son (my 14th yr old Godson...whom I absolutely adore!) but the grandchild from the daughter its another story....his favourite cake/sweet is Millefeille and so I have ordered this delicious Millefeille from the best confectionary in town - it’s a sweets boutique store actually!- and as I was holding it, I told my dad to make a wish first and then blow the candle and he turns and looks at me in the eyes and said “you know what I wish for” ...who knows! Maybe next year on his bday I’ll have his new grandchild with me. Wishfull thinking

Stupid post wouldnt let me finish.
So we played poker and went to a neat restaurant that was on that show diners, driveins and dives with guy feieri. It was yummy. Today though, I may juat be lazy and do nothing. I am actually looking forward to tuesday so that I can have a closure, or at least begin closure. they will do genetic testing on the baby, then, do testing on us. I am not sure what all they test with the reoccurring pregnancy loss. The RE Seems to be convinced that the baby is just not chromosomally normal but that my body is fine. I guess we will see. They said it will take about 4 weeks for the.results....that will make me crazy!

Laura: I am so sorry for your loss. When I started fertility treatments, I had 2 m/c already. My RE started by checking the structure of my uterus and looking for clotting disorders. He found a septum in my uterus. It was removed. Eventually, after a few IUI's and another year of trying on our own (we were self pay and it was hard to wrap your head around something so expensive) we started IVF. I got pregnant right away and had another m/c. We had done the shared risk program, and to continue with that, they required genetic testing on my husband and myself (embryo was gone so no tests could be done on it). I believe they are looking for translocations that can be passed onto the embryo and make it non-viable. The tests all came back fine. My RE said he thought it was just one of those things that happen and there was nothing further we needed to do. We did an FET with two of our remaining embryos. I got another BFP and was terrified for most of the pregnancy. However, it resulted in our first son. That RE moved to Houston. We used a partner from our old RE's practice here in Cinci to do our second FET (using our last two embryos). He had me take blood thinners because I am borderline for 2 clotting disorders. He knew my previous RE didn't have me do it, but he is convinced it helps and we were lucky the time before?!? I had my second son this past November. We had complications with this pregnancy. However, they were not attributable to IVF or any other thing that doctors can find. (TRAP sequence pregnancy, you can google it. It's a long story.) It is possible to have a couple of m/c that do not reflect on a problem. My first RE said that studies show that even 2 m/c do not up the risk of a third one happening. However, a third one does increase the chances for more. He just decided to do more testing when I came to him because I had had 2 and couldn't get pregnant again. I know it seems like maybe you will never be able to carry a child. I thought so. However, it can still be possible, even with a couple of m/c under your belt.

LauraN-thank you. I also had the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Panel done and genetic testing on the pregnancy tissue last MC and genetic testing for both of us. For us it was helpful to identify that the baby was chromosomal normal a's where we but it did identify a genetic clotting disorder. The blood test is quite comprehensive. I pray that the test are able to shed some light into what has occurred.

AFM- Started AF today! I don't know when I am to start the patches. I'll call the clinic tomorrow to find out.

The Biggest Loser Challenge is a program that my gym goes that mimics the Biggest Loser tv show. My personal trainer has a team, we have group workouts, last chance workouts, personal training, and meal planning. Their is a $5000 grand prize plus other smaller prizes. The season two winner of NBCs Biggest Loser works at one of the local gyms (not my branch). It's good motivation.

Well, off to the trainer. Hope he doesn't hurt me too bad

Hi ladies, hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Blue, I read about the Costa Cruise. Very bizarre incident. I'm truly sorry for this who's lives were lost.

I have my 3rd Beta tomorrow morning. I'm off tomorrow so it's nice because I'll be able to spend sometime with the kids, but it will probably be a long day waiting for the results. I'll be 5 weeks/1 day tomorrow. I wonder when they will schedule the first ultrasound??? Yesterday and today I have felt quite nauseous. I guess that's a good sign. I definantely never made it a's fat a's feeling nauseous with the last two pregnancies. I remember with my DS, I vomited for weeks ad lost 16 lbs in the process. I'll keep you guys posted tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm praying for all of you. Sending you all my love.

Im so sorry! I have been in ur position a couple times! I had a second miscarriage this summer. The first i did a d&c the second was by cytotec vaginal med. If i knew what i know now i would NEVER have taken the med i would have done a d&c! Ur making the right decision. There are still able to test the tissue but what ur body goes though is awful!!!!!!


I have been preg twice and never seen a heartbeat! I just had a 3rd er today and i am doing pgd since the tissue, karotype and bloodclotting tests all came back neg, i dont want to take the chance of chromo abnorms out of the picture! Its not a guarentee of a baby but it increases the odds. Im also doing shots of lovolox this round!

I will be thinking about you this week!

Alwaysangel-congratulations on your ER. 22 is a great number. Your situations sounds very much like mine. I also had two MC and have yet to make it to u/s date to see a heartbeat. However we did the testing and did find that I have a clotting disorder called congenitals type 2 protein s deficiency. We also found outthat with our last pregnancy they found that the baby was chromosomal normal. Although there is no guarantee that this is the reason for the two MC's my hematologist and my RE have so put me on Lovenox. I will update you on the board tomorrow since I'm a little sick to my stomach tonight. Feeling quite nauseous.

just feeling blah.

I'm feeling so down and depressed. Today was the brit milah of my friend's baby... I was there, but just put a fake smile on my face and tried not to cry. Watching my in-laws holding another friend's baby and cooing just kills me.

Beta today was 193. So going down. (Last week's was 304 - I mistakenly heard 324 on the phone, but it was 304.) That's a really slow halving time. I hope we get to cycle as soon as we get back.

I'm just so down and depressing. I'm aching on the inside so much. I just want to crawl into bed and ignore the world....

and of course... I need to start my new job this week (haven't worked out with the two places exactly which day I'll be switching)

We- we are more similar than i realized. Ive been taking more of a back seat on the boards as this round started faster than we thought! Unfirtunatly they found something but at least u probably found the cause!!!its a double edge sword! How is the lovelox? I start on sat! Friday is my transfer!

Alwaysangel-interesting, my RE and Hematologist didn't have me start tge Lovenix until I got a positive pregnancy test. The original plan was to start the lovenix once I got a positive Beta. But I got a potisiteve HPT at 4dp4dt and that was thesame day I had my follow up appt with the Hematologist. So I discussed it with her and she had me start that same night. The lovenox isn't bad at all. It does burn a little bit but I apple ice for about a minute or two and it's just fine. I don't feel anything at all. I am also doing the PIO which is a whole other story. Although we all expected pretty severe bruising because of the Lovenox and doing the PIO IM injections, but I haven't had that at all. However, my bottom is quite sore. I've been doing the PIO every night since 5 days before my transfer, ouch!!! The injection isn't bad it's just the soreness that I have now. Well, off to have Beta #3. I pray that your eggs are all growing nicely an that you have plenty to choose from on transfer day. How many will you be transferring?

Leora-oh hon, I'm so sorry that your feeling depressed. You've been through so much and your feelings are absolutely normal and expected. I pray for you and your DH everyday. I pray that you bring home your baby or babies real soon. Please know I'm here for you.

AFM-Beta #3 is done. I should get the results around 3pm EST. I asked the nurse about the first u/s and she said that they would give me a date after 1-22 which would make me 6 weeks. I felt extremely nauseous this morning around 2am. I had to get up and go downstairs. After a while I just fell asleep on the couch.

Leora - Praying that your cycle will go off without a hitch after an awesome vacation. I hope the vacation will bring some light and fun into your life…I know right now is so hard. I think Assuta will work out for you - looking forward to hearing how Sunday goes.

We- im starting poi injections tonight with est. patches and lovolox on transfer day. I am hoping to transfer 2 on friday. My dh is not looking foward to the lovolox because of the location of the injection. Im also waiting for my re to call by 3 or 4 today! Seems like u r going to have a great beta number today!!! Enjoy ur day off!!!
