Just had the u/s. Thank God, they are both ok. There is blood around the sacks but baby A&B are just fine and I got to see their hearts beating. The RE says I need to rest and drink plenty of fluids. He says that sometimes dehydration causes cramming which will cause bleeding especially with the Lovenox. Driving home now. I will post later. Thank you all again for all of your prayers and words of comfort.

Yes! I was really hoping for that news!

Maria, definitely get used to drinking a lot of water. Water can help you now and it will also really help down the road when you start having Braxton Hicks contractions - water helps keep them away.

Personally, I always have water with me - literally, 24 hours a day. I use a refillable bottle and always have it.

Maria: so glad that all is well! I hadn't even gotten to congratulate you on your twins. I had a LOT of bleeding with my pregnancy with my twins and know how scary it can be. I concur what Barbara says: chug that water and take it easy. Definitely abide by pelvic rest. Take care of yourself!! Congratulations!!

Ninde-I saw a picture of your friend and sinead in the 2011 wrap up of People mag. It was their wedding pic from vegas...lol. Trampolining sounds fun.

Leora-the website said as long as the trip is completed before her birthday I just have to pay an infant ticket which is like $200. We are trying to save credit card points to buy one ticket. I hope your new job is going well! Wow maybe new bosses and new RE's are meant to be!

We-oh thank the lord! Im so glad the babies are ok. CHUG CHUG that water girl!

AFM-DH went to Italy and Spain to race today. If you are curious about his sport, his website is http://www.teambambur*.com (without the asterisk). So DD and I have two weeks all on our own. We have been looking at this giant house like 6000 sq ft that we would like to buy. It forclosed and the price went from $700k to $340K. We live in a 1200 sq ft house now and have noooo room for more kids let alone DD toys. So Im going to try get our house on the market this week and see if we get any interest. We cant rent is out because taxes are so high here so we pay $1500/month :( My goal this week is to start running and working out. I havent done anything since i got back except eat an absurd amount of sweets. Little Debbie is my weakness. I never heard back from my RE when I told her about my BFN. Maybe she is on vacation. Hope everyone is well and those LO's are growing happy and healthy!

Maria, Thank our sovereign god everything is okay! I'm sp glad you got to see those precious babies heartbeats. Get some rest and take it easy!

Kala, That house sounds so awesome, do you have the breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains in your own backyard? Colorado was a great place to visit especially Aspen/Cardonadale, we threw snowballs in July over my 30th b-day, loved it!
I could only imagine the elevation making running a good workout. My middle brother (from S.C.) was in the Ironman race down here in Pncy, Fl and complained that the run was so boring since we have flat areas...compared to the elevation he was used while he was training in the Carolinas, but I guess the view would make the difference too...I sometimes wish we could take a bulldozer to all these condos, making it the perfect view along the shore all the way down Front Beach Rd. :D

AFM: Dh and I are both off together and what do we do? Skipped church mainly b/c today was baby dedication and glad we had been going to know about this upcoming big event since nothing could be worse then getting caught in the middle of that. I thought about all the parents this morning getting out in the rain, because it sure did pour so hard this morning, giving us a great reason to sleep in among other things...I love getting some quality time in with dh. We shopped online at Macy's and bought a Bisell Steam Carpet Cleaner and new George Foreman grill with a Christmas gift card. Hopefully I can hang onto to the remaining balance to shop for baby clothes...but glad to know Macy gift cards never expire. I should clean house today but not feeling motivated on this rainy day!

Maria - so glad to hear things are okay. Like I said, I had horrific bleeding with my boys and they were fine. I had a tiny amount of spotting with this pregnancy (ectopic) and the one before the boys (missed miscarriage) and neither were okay. I know it's super scary, but things can still be fine.

Christy - sounds like a great day. I got to spend a ton of time with D today on our hour long trip to the doctors and back. That was great. Sometimes we just need to focus on the good things we have (ie, each other) instead of all the things we are trying to achieve. (But I have a terrible cold and just wanted to go to bed -- so D took his ex-gf (from high school - we are friendly with her and her husband) to the play we bought tickets for tonight!) Nothing as romantic as a steam power carpet cleaner, huh?

Gina - I've been "putting my foot down" on the WoW playing for a while, but it doesn't stick :D I know he is super stressed and it's an outlet for him, but I worry about excessive time on the computer...

Kerri - I totally understand why people want a biological link to their child, but we are beyond that point by now. We would love to adopt, but it's a long waiting list (we've been on the list for 1.5 years -- the total wait time is about 7 years). Amazingly - the IVF/ICSI with our sperm/eggs will be the easiest, cheapest and fastest way for us to have a baby - how insane is that! I do understand that having a child that is biologically your husbands but not biologically yours would be hard -- maybe carrying the child would make you feel differently - since there would be that biological link?

Lori (alwaysangel) - HI! :D My aunt's name is Lori and her maiden name is the same as my maiden name (since she is my dad's sister). She loved monograms and had a ton of stuff printed up for "L. Ross" which I discovered in my grandparent's house when I was a kid - I had a ball! Luckily none of my siblings share my first initial - so all the "L. Ross" stuff was mine :D

Kala - I think that's brilliant to sneak in a trip before you need to buy a ticket for her. Good thinking! Good luck buying/selling houses!

AFM - excellent meeting with the doctor today -- we've found our new RE! The way we would be doing this would put a lot more in my control -- I'm responsible for getting all my test results and forwarding to my doctor. But I'm a super organized, type-A person so that's fine. He even gave me a card with his cell phone number on it and told me to call with any questions, any time - what a HUGE difference from trying for hours to call into the nurses who finish work at 4pm! We have to also open a file at his hospital (we met him in a public clinic. I'll be doing my monitoring at a public clinic near home, but the actual ER/ET at the private hospital where he has privileges) and he knew we had driven a long way to see him -- so he called up his hospital to see if we could come right then for a quick meeting with a nurse to set this up. Turns out we couldn't because they were super busy (which is apparently unusual for them!) but just the fact that he would call to see if we could do it right away was awesome!

I know I'm blessed to have all my treatments paid for, but y'all who pay out of pocket get MUCH better service. I'm so happy to have found this doctor who will give me the private service I crave, but still be covered by the national health care! Whippeeeeee!

He wants us to re-do some of the testing that we haven't repeated since we started in 2009 - basically blood tests on both of us - not a big deal. We have to meet with someone at the hospital to set up a file, and re-register our IVF claim with the health care system - but we should be ready to go really soon. As long as my beta hits zero soon, we can start as soon as we get back!

One wrinkle is that he wants me to have a period before we start again -- my old clinic (how exciting to say that!) said I could start right away. He gave me a Rx for Provera (ugh... another period. At a certain point, I should buy stock at Tampax!). If my beta gets to zero before we leave, I'll take the Provera on my trip and get a period as soon as we get back. Fingers crossed!

Next beta/us (still at the old clinic.... they are in charge of monitoring my ectopic back to zero) is Wednesday. I'm hoping for something really really really low.....

Hallelujiah for this board! First of all, without you guys, I would go crazy and feel so alone... but secondly, huge thanks to Rosie who introduced me to this loophole (private care paid for by the public system)!

Evening ladie, what an eventful day here on the boars

Maria: thank goodness. But what a horrible shock for you. Im really glad now you can rest, rest and more rest - as well as the water!!!

Leora: my sister had 7 ivfs and just one successful pregnancy but she miscarried (slightly spookily we both miscarried at precisely the same stage to the day as each other). She was so severely over stimmed that on the last one she lost her only ovary to ovarian tortion. After 6 years she successfully adopted. I was seriously addicted to war craft too - to the extent of taking days of work so i could play!! I rEally hope your beta is zero tomorrow.

Kala: yes I enjoy trampolining although the Sunday class has been cancelled. The house sounds lovely. And I had a look at your dh's husbands website, wow he has accomplished a huge amount. He must be a huge inspiration.

Christy; rainyndays are jus great. Have you had a really good day?

Jayne: how are you doing?

LauraN: how are you feeling?

Lauren? How are you getting on?

Lyd: how are you and the little ones doing?

Nicole: how are you?

Bonnie: really sorry about the morning sickness. Will you let us know how you get on on fri?

Afm: trampolining cancelled so i went swimming. I also thought it might help with my legs from yesterday's training session with my trainer. It didnt, oh wow they hurt!! Spent most of the day working on my presentation on happiness which im giving on tue 31st to my work colleagues. Im coming at it from the cognitive, emotional and therapeutic aspects. So bed soon!!

Leora,
How does your health insurance work? It's mindbottling thinking about how health care is better here if we pay out of pocket for it. In the U.S., it cost around $10,000 for one IVF cycle and most patients cannot afford more then one chance, so even if we pay out of pocket and maybe get better care from our doctor more then likely it's a one time deal. So then we look into other financing options. I highly recommend the IVF Attain Program to anyone going through this, I know it will give us peace of mind if something even happened with the pregnancy so we could try again. Truth is the more chances we have, the higher likelihood of success, so you must take advantage of having your treatment covered. I'm glad you found a new RE who is accomodating, it's great you can reach him anytime! :D

Ninde,
I hope your legs feel better, what helps me is yoga and stretching and have dh to massage the back of them to help with the soreness and circulation. Alot of the time too, when I'm doing yoga I'll prop my legs over the edge of the bedframe (while I'm laying on the floor and hold that position for 45 seconds, any elevation you can do will help.

AFM: I watched "Kramer v/s Kramer" never cried so much over a kid in my life.

Leora: So glad to hear your good news....new job...new clinic...new RE...cruise. I know you would trade it all in a second for being prego, but I think it all is positive and will help you be in a good place for that pregnancy that is right around the corner! Hoping your beta hits zero so you can be right on track and will able to get started cycling right after your cruise. You are right--this board is so wonderful. The support, the information, a great place to vent, and a GREAT place to celebrate. So very happy for you. Sending you lots of BABY DUST!!! Can't wait to be celebrating your BFP that sticks! and brings your rainbow baby.
