Hi Ladies! I really need to catch up here!

Mellow: Marlo is absolutely gorgeous! We had some trouble with Will's reflux and switched to the Similac Sensitive for Spit Up. It has the lime green label. There is rice starch in it which has helped him alot and it is still milk based. Their teething kind of threw them off too. It only lasted about 2 1/2 weeks, they are now sleeping through the night again.

Lou: Chloe is so beautiful! Don't switch to a Soy based formula unless there is an allergy to the milk/lactose. Signs like projectile vomiting usually give it away. I had a 3 mo. old pt. in our office who was switched to a soy formula that didn't need it and ended up with internal bleeding (rare case). Has Chloe been constipated? Babies can go a week to 10 days without a bowel movement and it's considered normal. We've done 4 oz. warm water and 1/2 tsp. of brown sugar. It's a nice stool softener/laxative. I know you also mentioned the eczema but that is totally normal in the winter. We run a cool mist humidifier in the boys room at night and use Eucerin wash and cream to help calm it down.

My little twinkies are growing like crazy. Rolling all over the place and having fun! We go next week for their 9 month check ups but at their last Synagis visit they were 18 lbs and 16.10 lbs. Will seems to never stop eating and Wyatt still struggles at times. He is still on Neo Sure(preemie formula) since everytime we take him off his weight gain slows down. Our next adventure will be helmets for their misshapened heads. We thought only Will needed one as the back of his head is pretty much flat but then had Wyatt's scanned while we were there and found out he could use one too. At least we can have designs put on them so we can't mix them up. Here's a picture of my little men, how are they 9 months already?!?! Take care!!

Ladies, I love the pics of all of the little ones!

Mellow - Marlo is a doll! I'm sorry she's having a tough time right now. Hopefully things will normalize for her soon.

Lou - Hmmm, that is an odd thing. I probably wouldn't switch her formula unless she's showing signs of discomfort from it - vomiting, regurgitation, diarrhea, etc. Maribel would regurgitate her first two formulas but then started the Gerber Good Start Gentle and that's been wonderful. But since Maribel will eat anything and everything I can't imagine her not interested in eating. Hopefully Chloe's appetite kicks in soon and you can rid of that worry. Keep us posted though!

Gina - I can't believe your boys are going for their 9 month checkup already. How can that be? They're so adorable btw!

Bliss - Lots of sleeping is perfectly normal and pretty soon Evelyn's going to spend more and more time awake. She's so darn cute!

AFM, life's great! Maribel is an absolute joy! Sometimes sleeps through the night and sometimes she doesn't LOL. Her nap schedule recently changed to 3-4 catnaps a day (only about 20-30 minutes each) so that makes getting everything done a little more challenging but that's ok. She's so much fun when she's awake, I can't complain. And she's stuck to me like a glue stick now. Separation anxiety has entered the building. :D Doctor said it's perfectly normal at this age but it is a little hard when we visit family and she only wants me to hold her or cries when I leave the room. She cut her first tooth this week and the second one is about to break through any day now. At yesterday's doc visit she weighed 19.15 pounds and was 28 inches long (about 97th percentile for both) so she's my little hulk. She doesn't like to crawl forward yet so she crawls backwards, rolls, and spins around on her back to get to where she wants to be. She loves to sit and play with her toys and she loves when we hold her hands and let her walk around the house. She could do that for hours (much to the chagrin of my lower back.) Here are a couple pics of her from the past two weeks - giving me that yummy, gummy smile and swimming with her best friend.

Help! My little one stopped taking a bottle. He will only take boobies now. My DH was letting me sleep through the night last night, but Denver would not accept a bottle. He would cry & cry until I would get up & bf. Then, he'd eat fine & go back to sleep for a few hours. He's had a bottle a couple times a day since he was 4-5 days old. I produce plenty of milk, but want to sleep a few uniterrupted hours so we'd give him a bottle. Now, he won't take it. :?

Oh no mamaboo! I have no clue what to tell you...but good luck. Maybe try a different nipple on the bottle? That is the only thing I can think of really.

Maribel is so sweet! I can't wait to get Evie into swim lessons.

Lou...I wouldn't worry too much about appetite. Bell hates to eat. This morning she wouldn't take her 9am OR noon bottle, but then took 8oz at 3. I worried too, but she remains in the 50th percentile. She's 16lbs at 6months and her pedi isn't concerned. As long as her diapers are wet!

Will, Wyatt and MAribel are just adorable!!!!! When did our babies get so darn big?!

If you look in my siggy you'll see the twins' 6 month pic! Growing oh so fast :(

Thanks all for the advice.

Gina -- Actually her pediatrician suggested the switch to soy if she didn't start eating. We haven't switched yet and you make a good point for waiting.

Amanda -- She's taking 3.5-4 oz at a time only and totaling about 15-20 oz in a day. Way below what she was eating a month ago. I don't get it!

Ryan -- Well at least Bell makes up for it at a later feeding! Chloé has only taken a full 6 oz a few times and hasn't gotten past 4 oz in almost 2 weeks. She's only taking 15-20 oz a day!

Happy Birthday Rosie! (thanks for the reminder Sunshine!)

Mamaboo -- I'm sorry your little guy won't take a bottle. At least he's still getting nutrition from the boobie though! But that's not good for your sleep pattern I'm sure.

Mellow -- Marlo is such a pretty baby! I can't believe how far she's come. She looks amazing. Well done mama!

AFM -- Chloé's appetite still isn't the best. She's now taking only 15-20 oz a day in 3-4 oz increments. She used to suck down 6 oz at a time. I just don't get it! She should be taking close to 30 oz a day, right? The Pediatrician told us to "clean her out" with a Karo syrup/water mixture and if she didn't eat better after that, to switch to a soy formulay. But she's happy and doesn't seem "sick". If anything, sometimes a bit constipated (i.e. a few formed stools). Thanks for the advice everyone.

Lou~ Marlo and Chloe are two peas in a pod...She will not eat well.
It's just a phase I think, and hope it passes soon. She wakes in the middle of the night to eat and sucks down 6oz, and then mornings..well forget about it. She doesn't eat in the mornings, but maybe 3 oz total until mid afternoon. Stinker!! :) She doesn't act hungry, and lets me know when she really wants something. Anyway, I guess the point is, don't worry too much about it if she seems fine and happy and is having wet diapers. Hopefully it will change soon and put your mind at ease.

Baby Denver had his 2 mos appt today! Time does fly doesn't it. (I know, real original thought.) He weighed 11 lbs & 7 oz. He gained over 2 1/2 lbs in a month! The first month he only gained a lb & I was worried. Not worried about it anymore! I could tell this past month that he was gaining I could just see it. Dr also commented on the remarkable amount of head control he has for 2 mos old. I forgot to mention to him that he pushes up on his elbows already! He has also laughed (more like giggled, but not high pitched) a few times. He's doing really well. I am very pleased. I was concerned throughout pregnancy because the RFA procedure does carry a risk of brain damage. However, thankfully, Denver has no signs whatsoever of that. :D

That is WONDERFUL mamaboo. Your little overachiever is doing very well indeed!

Hey mamas... Is all this grunting and throat clearing Evie is doing normal? Ped says it is and that her little lungs are perfect, but dang the girl can make a ruckus! Any of you have this?

Denver does the grunting and throat clearing all the time. Pedi said it's normal. I know it seems that the worry never goes away. However, it does lessen. I think I'm better this time around than I was with my first. Although, not completely normal. lol. I just blame it on the ocd & infertility and tell myself it will improve over time.

Just sharing in case it happens to someone else...

Our Brooke has always been a super sleeper at night but out of no where, she's been up and down ALL NIGHT. She wouldn't even make it an hour after going into her crib. I noticed that she seemed uncomfortable and was difficult to soothe. We wondered if she had gas so we started giving her gas medicine in her last bottle of the night and *POOF* we're back to sleeping peacefully all night.

Sorry i have been mia, Adjusting to this new schedule has been challenging but am mastering it everyday esp now that dh is working some so am left alone. lol life is interesting and i love it.
I see so many beautiful babies on the board. Dont they just grow so fast? mine is already 3 weeks old and holding his head up some. the only issue i have is with crying when pooping and passing gas. lol pediatrician says this is normal but my gosh i do not like seeing him cry in pain just to push out gas or poop. Did any of you guys deal with this and any remedies out there?

NW -- YES... Chloé cried when pooping and passing gas too. Hang in there... it gets better after about 2-3 months of age. Maybe try Happy Bunny's idea below. We did that for a while too.

I am really down in the dumps! I have developed a cold sore. Not passing it on to my 2 month old is a major stressor! :x I feel as if I am going crazy and my hands are raw from washing. Pedi said wash, wash, wash!
