Hi ladies,
Sorry I've been MIA. I have been really having a rough time. I'm still spitting which is driving me crazy, the nausea hadn't gotten any better, and severe constipation almost put me in the hospital. I went to my first official OB appt yesterday and when the OB did the pelvic exam she said " oh my you are severely impacted". Well I already knew this and had tried everything under the sun to no avail. I was so horribly uncomfortable all last week including the weekend it was terrible. The abdominal pains were unbearable. My Ozn told me to take MOM and insert a glycerin suppository which I did last night. Unfortunately all it did was make me even more nauseous and cause more abdominal cramping. I did get some releif but not nearly enough. I will try the same again today. Once clear she said to take Metamucil and Colace daily plus she discontinued the Zofran because she said that it causes really bad constipation. So no more Zofran for me. I heard the babies heartbeats yesterday with the Doppler but no u/s. I was quite disappointed but I was happy and releived to hear their little hearts thumping away. I won't get an u/s until 12 weeks which is in three weeks. That's a long wait. I had gotten used to having u/s on demand. I will update the board later today. Sending you all my love and well wishes. I'll have to read up later to catch up.

We - I'm so sorry u are having such a rough time. There is a Pre-natal vitamin that has a stool softner (Colace) in it. That made a huge difference with me. Be sure to drink tons of water with the Metamucil or it will make things worse - it will dry your stool out. Also prunes ... I was able to keep taking the Zofran twice a day one I ate 3 prunes 3 times a day. But what really got me back to normal was the change in prenatal vitamins. I hope u feel better soon. I'm so happy your appointment went well and your little ones are hanging in there. The change to the OB is such a transition from the close watch of the RE. Sending hugs as always.

Katie - she is adorable - love the hat! That is kind of crazy - I'm glad to hear Olivia is doing well despite being extra early! Congrats on being official - sounds like your family is adjusting well so far We will definitely have a gender scan - next appt will be just before 17 weeks so I am hoping we might find out then, but will probably not be until the appt after that.

Ttcnb - thinking of you today - good luck and an early congrats!!!

Blissful - such a cute pic! I bet the final pics are going to be amazing - she is too sweet in her little tutu!

We - I share many of your same issues. My dr told me to take the colasce daily to try to help prevent getting too backed up. Hope you are feeling better soon! I hear you on the long waits between U/S - we IVF ladies get spoiled with lots of early U/S

Moorebaby - Thanks for your comments - I've read a few places now (mostly triplet mom's blogs) about how difficult the triplet strollers are and that they recommend doing a double and a single instead. I think that is the direction we are leaning. Glad to hear you are doing well - congrats on passing your GD test. You are in the home stretch now! How was the Vow? I want to see that but don't think I can talk my DH into it. We'll see - it is Valentines week

AFM - well I had been feeling better for a few days at least (4 days in a row with no vomiting!). Late yesterday I started getting a headache, then I got sick after dinner and the headache turned really nasty very quickly. Was a bad night of sleeplessness and non-stop headache. Today has been ok so far - trying to force myself to drink lots of water since I'm guessing dehydration might be related to the headaches and constipation. Trying to think of something special we can have for dinner that won't make me sick. I announced my news to work on Friday and then on Facebook yesterday - so I feel like I'm no longer keeping a BIG secret! Lots of excitement and support so far!! Speaking of work - I should probably get back to it! Hope you all have a great Valentine's Day with your LOs!!

Kbillsy - Sorry about your headaches that sucks I hope you find some relief soon. Thank you we think she is pretty special too. Finding out what she was made it very real to us and gave something to dream about When we had our ultrasound at 14 weeks they gave us a 80% girl then at 20 weeks they confirmed it I guess if you get a seasoned tech they are able to see it better? So exciting!

Oh We....I am so sorry you are not feeling any better....that is a bummer. Just a suggestion but I use a acupuncturist for pretty much every aliment in my life and I totally feel that she is a miracle worker maybe try one or two session also wheat grass has been know to help with the constipation....you can usually find a place to do a shot of it for a buck or so. I really hope you feel better soon...sorry & feel better soon.

We - How is it going? I hope that you are feeling better. Katie is right about the acupuncture - I completely forgot about that!

AFM - Nothing new, I LOVE seeing all the little ones being born - just so exciting. My next OB appointment is next week, but since I now feel little Samuel moving more regularly I no longer freak out before appointments. I start prenatal yoga next week and I am thinking about taking an aqua aerobics class. I really need to get back to exercising now that I am feeling so much better.

Quick update on me, while I feed with one hand and type with the other

had my nucal U/S today and it looks good. the nucal fluid and the nasal bone measurements are good. although this is encouraging we still have a few more tests to go - when you get into your 40s, like me, chromosomal abnormalities is definitely something real as opposed to a remote possibility. We are still waiting for the results of the MaterniT21 test for down syndrome - hopefully that will come back negative!!!! should know within a week. i am back in 4 weeks to give blood for QUAD test - which together with the nucal measurements will tell us our odds for chromosomal abnormalities. so i wont know if i am "in the clear" so to speak for another 5 weeks. but keeping my fingers crossed it all continues to go well. No U/S at my next visit - just listen to heartbeat, talk to nurse practitioner and give blood for the QUAD test.
Other than that - i am still wearking my regular clothes, albeit , with the button moved to the longest setting. Still havent told anyone about pregnancy except close relatives and my boss. i wish we could start telling - but i really want to wait another 5 weeks till the QUAD results come back - or at least till MaterniT21 results comes back.
since i have hypothiroidism ( since my last pregnancy) i have antibodies for my thyroid, which apparently can cross placenta and impact babies thyroid a bit. but apparently that is quite common in women - hypothorodic women get pregnant all the time - and that is ok for the baby.

Lyd.....glad tests came back good so far and will be praying for the rest of them to be just as great.......you are in all our prayers This time last year I was having my second FET and little did I know it would result in my second miscarriage of that year, once I dealt with all of that I had all but given up but yet here I sit with my 9 day old little baby girl....and you and I have been on this journey for quite some time so here you sit with a sweet LO in your belly just waiting to be born into a family that has waited a lifetime to bring them home.....so my point is it is our time...we are bringing home our babies for sure this time! Hang tight girl & be strong this is it

fvrogers....I am a lucky duck but the formula has a lot to do with that....I tried to BF with Em and it was horribly painful & not fun at all so I decided I would bottle feed tough decision but one I made with lots of research and thought but it is what it is at this point. Sleeping has a lot to do with full belly and formula takes longer to digest so they ultimately sleep longer....I found it really hard to give up on BF'ing since I had to give up on all the rest of the pregnancy stuff it was hard to give up on that too but it was what was right for me and my little ones...but be happy if you can BF and take the sleepless nights with a grain of salt they don't last forever! And you are giving your baby the best of everything!
