Hi Girls,

I have just been given the go-ahead to start again (YIPPPEEEEE!)

so I will start down regging on 26th July. Looks like I am going to be an August Cycle Buddy and wondered if there was anyone else about to start.

Hi Dolly. I'm not trying again until September but just wanted to say I'm so pleased you've been given the nod. I've not seen many saying they're on for August, although maybe Alicia?? eitherway, you'll never be alone as there's a whole tribe of us supporting you.

Hi Dolly,

I am hoping my doctor will give the OK for FET in August. Our consultation isn't until July 19th though - wondering if there will be enough time, as I don't know much about what FET involves.

I've only had IVF and was pregnant, but only for a couple of weeks.

Regardless, it will be Aug or Sept, and I'll be following both boards so BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!!!

Hi Alicia, I don't know much about FET as I havn't been lucky enough to get any frosties on either of my last 2 cycles. But I think you can either have a natural FET or a drug assisted one.

Good luck for your appointment on 19th - hopefully they will give you the go ahead to do your FET next month.

Hi Dolly & Alicia

I will be joining you as an August cycle buddy. I've already started on the Buserlin injections and am having a FET with an assisted cycle. I've got a scan tomorrow. Not sure of my date for the transfer but probably mid August.

This will be my 5th attempt in total but second fet, my last egg retrival was in February but I ended up in hospital so they could not put the embryos back. I've got 8 frosties, so thawing 4 to use the best two this time and then I'm left with one more go after that.

Wow, 8 embies!! So many! That's great - maybe you will have a second child with the 4 left after this go!

Hi Ladies

Traci - nice to you you will be watching, hope your next appointment goes well and in the meantime theres always shopping (good at taking your mind of things for 5 minutes anyway)

I went for my scan today and shock horror, I'm ready to start the HRT so my ET is booked for 3 August (mayalter by a day or so but thats it). So it looks like I will be a very early August Cycle Buddy. I think this is the first time ever that I've down regulated this quick.

Hope thats a good sign combined with the fact that I am going to be a bridesmaid for my skinny best friend in Feb or Mar. Maybe I'll get to be the biggest bridesmaid ever at 8months pregnant, you never know, I could be like Catherine Zeta Jones at the Oscars (maybe with a bit less cleavage).

Alicia - sure you will be August, there is loads of time left.
Dolly - hope you are okay

Looks like you may be the first August cycle buddy to get a +ve! We're all hopeful for you to set a good luck precedent for us! Hope your cycle goes smoothly - lots of follies (but not TOO many), no mood swings, pain, etc.

I've been posting on the July board for the moment but I start downregging Monday and it looks like ET will be around mid Aug. I'm doing a medicated FET.

How many days did it take you to downreg? My clinic won't even bring me in to test until Day 10!

Given the situation with being a bridesmaid, I'd say the odds are in your favor for getting a +tive. I finally decided to stop putting my life on hold and go ahead with getting a puppy so I figure the chances of success are great for me too

Looks like me, you , Dolly and Wendy for now. I sure hope it is August. Forget about the 2ww. I can't wait for my IVF followup appt. on Monday! The parents are here visiting too, so I hope the appointment goes well and I don't get overly emotional about anything.

Hope August is lucky for all of us!!!

Hi Wendy, Dolly, Staci and Alicia

I have been waiting for the August buddies. I was down regulated with Zoladex post lap and cystectomy and will start with the nasal sprays on the 20th to start stimulating, if thats the right word, on the 30th with egg collection week of the 9th August. I am petrified of my baseline scan on the 26th incase I can't start but trying hard to keep calm. Since the 2nd failed attempt I've been having acupuncture to chill me out which I think has worked but we'll soon see.
It will be great to have some buddies this time although last time in the two week wait Traci, Tracey and Dagney plus others were angels.
Dagney, Watching your progress, didn't know what to say but I am thinking of you and really hope for a +ve

Thanks for joining August cycle buddies. It is great to have so many of us doing this together. It will sure beat my last IVF cycle where I was the only person I knew doing it. Hope the acupuncture continues to help.
