Coffee and exercise

Post by nycmama »

Hi,

I'm new to this so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

Was anyone told to drink only 1-2 cups of coffee (even decaf) while doing IVF?

Also, did you stop exercising when you started the shots?

Thanks,
Syd

ok im not a doctor. i went through fresh cycle with a positive outcome and an fet cycle with a positive outcome n here is what i think. i know that alot of caffeine isnt good for you and most doc say stop the caffine and sugar and blah blah blah but i felt like for my body that it puts a shock to the system by completely changing what you eat or drink. when your going through ivf or fet, your body needs to focus on the baby growing and sticking not on the major shock and withdrawl your putting it through. i dont know but for me i didnt change a thing. worked for me both times.

There are studies that suggest that more caffeine than one cup of coffee's worth a day increases the risk of miscarriage. All of my docs (RE & ob) have told me not to take in more than that. Therefore, I drink decaf tea and coffee (despite popular opinion, tea does not contain more caffeine than coffee). Decaf does contain some caffeine, however, it's in much, much smaller amounts. Therefore, you can have more of it. Just keep track.

I think drinking of decaffeinated tea and coffee despite popular opinion, the tea contains more caffeine than coffee. Decaf contains caffeine, but it is very, very small. Therefore, you have more of it.

Nice sharing.
You are simply drinking too much coffee and taking on too much caffeine. Caffeine before a workout can help your workout, but there is no need for any after it. Try a protein shake instead!

Well no doubt that exercise is important and i agree with it too much coffee is not good. Coffee has benefits but it has some side effects also so we should do exercise regularly but should not drink lot of coffee in a day.

One cup Coffee is enough for everyone, more cups of coffee is damaging health indirectly. Drink one coffee and go for daily exercise is very good for health and maintain a healthy weight. Coffee work as a fighter for the diseases of cancer, heart problems and skin infections. But remember that not to drink more coffee, its very harmfull.

I don't think so you should go with coffee. Coffee is not suitable when it comes to exercises because it stimulates senses which is not good while exercising. You have to be natural during exercise.

Exercise is important in your daily life, if you want to stay fit and healthy then you should do regular exercise which will improve your over all health and this is the reason why doctors recommend you to do daily exercise and coffee contains caffeine which increase your physical performance and recent studies shows that caffeine has got health benefits if taken it in limit, so it is important that you should take coffee in limit.
