Re: FET in Feb.

Post by turtle0619 »

Good Morning ladies...is it time for my beta yet??
Nothing is going on...me and the "kids" are home from work again, and just lounging around. It's very nice, but DH went back to work, and I miss having him around getting me my tea haha
So I forgot to tell you all when my beta is...it is next Thursday March 1st. I go in the morning for BW, and then i'm assuming they will call me...DH and I decided that we are going to wait till we are both home from work that night to listen to the message. I don't think I could answer that phone call while I'm all alone at work. It makes me nervous just thinking about it. It's going to be really hard not to reach for my phone and listen to the message before I get home. (I usually don't get home until after 8pm) so that's going to be one long day! Please, Please, Please let it be good news!!!

The Help was a great movie!! I kept crying though haha and I said to DH "what was I thinking?? the take home instructions sheet says that I should keep myself happy, and to keep a positive attitude! This movie is too much for me!!" haha
It was funny too so I think my laughing made up for my tears.

So there used to be that list of what was happening on each day past transfer....does anyone still have a copy of that?? Not that I'm going to obsess over things, but it's cool to follow along!

Oh and claudia I will NOT be the mayor of crazy town this time!!! I've been elected mayor way too many times..I'm stepping down, and refuse to even step foot in town. (ok well I might put a TOE in)

xoxoxo to all!!

3 Day Transfer:

1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

5 Day Transfer (if your transfer is done on the 6th day please adjust according to the timeline based upon how the embryo was doing by 1-2 days {e.g. blastocyst was hatching from the shell}):

-1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day (day 6)
2dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt... Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
6dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood (Day 11)
7dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on hpt (Day 14)

I will be part time mayor of crazytown for now. I swear I could "feel" my embryos implanting today. Well, at least it's PMA type of crazy. :D

Franny, I would not want to get that message at work either. A few hours of anticipation is totally worth it. Are you going to POAS? Or at least: what is your plan? ;) Glad to hear the movie was great - maybe I'll rent it tonight while DH plays his weekly online game.

Katie Tomorrow is a big day for you!! YAY!! That is sooo awesome about getting your meds covered. I think it's a good sign of more good luck to come!! To finally get something covered after all of this time must feel great. I'm so happy for you! Now you have to save that money for 2 sizes of diapers! :D
So you have to go estrace injections?? I've never heard of that. It's so strange how different each clinic can be, but I also think it has a lot to do with the drug companies making deals with doctors to use their drugs. Please make sure you use the right size needles haha man am I a dummy!!! I'm so glad i said something here, and you guys stopped me!! haha

claud How are you feeling?? Only a few more weeks till you can tell everyone! Has anyone said anything to you at work??
Hope everything is good!! xoxo

ronda I'm happy to be PUPO with trips, but I would just like one healthy baby!! I don''t know if my body could handle trips!! haha Yikes!! How's the trainer going??

Libby How's everything going? Thanks for posting the list. I hope you are getting some time to relax, and I hope DH's back is better. I threw my back out last spring, and it was the worst pain!! Oh man, you have no idea how horrible it feels until it happens to you.

afm I'm working from home today (yeah look at me working!! haha) I have to do this food safety training for my restaurant, it's like a 20 hour online training course, and then at the end I have to take a proctored exam. FUN! Well there is no time to do it at the office, so it was a good excuse to take an extra day to stay at home and get started on it!!
Oh and I will NOT POAS! DH is totally against it, and even from the chart Libby posted it says my beta day is the first day it will show up on a hpt anyway, so I'm going to be a good girl and wait. It's only 6 more days anyway!! I can do it!!
:D

much love to all my girls!! xoxoxoxoxo

Franny,

you are so strong not to start POASing! I could never help myself. Trainer....well, that is a long story that involves shitty co-workers butting into my personal business on what I do on my lunch hour, so anywho, I am still using his "schedule of workouts", but my last personal session with him was yesterday. long story that gets my blood boiling, but I need this job, so I just have to put on my big girl pants and deal. Really suck too, because in 10 sessions, I can really tell a difference in my body. Ugh, why do people have to be so @$$##%##@##??????. Sigh.

Sending tons of sticky baby dust your way, kidding about trips, hoping for one healthy little one for you.

Hi everyone -

So how are you girls holding up? Its close to impossible to not drive yourself mad with the all day wondering just what the heck is going on in there. Thankfully both of you had blast transfers and dont have a whole 2ww to get through. Try your best to keep busy and both of you try real hard to not even visit crazytown, ok? Yeah, I know, but try, ok? It is odd for me to have estradiol injections, this is new to me but its the only injections I'll have to take and they're only twice a week, so I think my bum will recover, lol. Speaking of, how is your bum doing Franny? Oh, for the love of the things we say around here! What I meant was, are the lumps better now? Can you believe that with Ryan my progesterone levels were never where my RE wanted them and I was on PIO until I was 15 weeks pg - holy moley- I could barely sit down by that point, there were so many lumps that I couldnt find anywhere else to inject. Looking back now, I wasnt bothered by it too much because after 7 cycles to hear BFP - I would have done PIO the whole pg if I had to. Thinking of you girls and of course fingers crossed and wishing you both sticky thoughts - off to bed, have to be up super early for baseline tomorrow. - xoxoxo

Katie I'm thinking of you today! I hope your baseline went great, and you are ready to start your meds!!

libby How are you feeling? I feel nothing, but I think I'd rather feel nothing then freak myself out thinking every little thing was "something" ya know?? ahhhh the joys of the 2ww, and it's not even 2 weeks!! Hope you are hanging in there my dear friend!! xoxoxo

AFM I'm back to work today. I'm a little nervous for it. It is my end of period which means a lot of stress and a full count of inventory, and tons of paperwork! Great first day back right? I'm just planing on taking it slow, and not lift anything heavy. I keep telling myself I only need to get through today and tomorrow, and then I have Sunday and Monday off, so it's really not that bad at all!!
Thinking of you all! xoxo

Katie, I'm thinking of you today as well! Hurray for shots in the ass! :) I think my clinic does injectable estridol for FETs too. If this cycle doesn't work, I'll be right along with you getting my butt all lumpy and sore.

Franny, I'm feeling nothing except for the...ummm...digestive problems that have plagued me for the last week. It's like I have the total opposite of constipation. More Gatorade for me! I have been tracking my weight - no weight gain so no OHSS thank goodness. I have not been totally good with the not lifting things - it's hard not to pick my cute boy up!
Our embies should be in the midst of implanting today, so tuck them in real good! At least with paperwork you are not on your feet for very long during work, right? Remember to breathe - it helps keep the stress at bay. :D

Ronda - thanks!

AFM, we had two fair quality blasts frozen. This is our last insurance paid cycle, so I am glad to have a couple to freeze. We have seven from our 2 previous cycles, so if this doesn't work we have enough for at least a couple FETs.

Hello Ladies,

I'm not new to the boards but it's been awhile since I've posted. I recently had my FET transfer on 2/17 and transferred 3 embryos. The 2ww wait driving me nuts! I have my beta on 3/1. It seems like sometimes I feel like I have early pregnancy symptoms and days like today no symptoms. Is anyone else feeling the same? Thanks for letting me crash the boards!

Holy crap - now what? So every single ivf attempt was with the same RE, and no one else has done a u/s on me - so I go for my baseline u/s this am and she says everything looks great - except that she sees what she thinks is a hydrosalpinx on the right side - I tell her thats impossible because I had both tubes removed in 2008 BEFORE my first cycle. She keeps insisting thats what it looks like and writes her report stating that. Well I'm waiting all day for the donor coordinator to call with my green light and she says that a hydrosalpinx is cause to be cancelled because the fluid thats in them is embryotoxic. Well, duh - thats why I had them both removed, wasnt it? So she said that the RE said he needs to see my surgical report from my old RE who is notorious for not giving up patient records. We agreed to both call my old clinic on Monday and nag the living crap out of them until I get this report. Or I'll get cancelled, grrr! But that still leaves me with my head spinning because the sono tech this am showed me the spot ( which is L shaped) and right next to my ovary. What the hell could this be??? No fluid, cyst, or anything else would be L shaped, it couldnt be scar tissue could it? I cant imagine that no one noticed something like this through all those cycles, and all those ultrasounds but then again,I've always had u/s with the same clinic. UGH, why now??? And if I dont get that report I think they'll cancel me. Soooooo frustrating to think that once again, my old clinic is still calling all the shots..
I want to just think that the sono tech wasnt sure of what she was seeing, but I saw it and it sure didnt look like anything I've seen before. They gave me the go ahead for starting meds, but also told me that we need to clear this up ASAP or there wont be a transfer as the RE doesnt believe in taking chances with embryos. I mean I'm really hoping that this sono tech wasnt too experienced, but she sure seemed like she was. What the heck could it be??

Sorry for no personals today, but my brain is all over the place right now. Oh, and because of the 3hr time difference, I didnt get a call back until 8pm my time - ugh

hi Katie, I was about to go to sleep but read your note and had to respond. I looked up hydrosalpinx on Wikipedia, since I didn't know what it was. apparently you need an HSG to detect some issues and even then it might not show up. I can see why they want your old records to see exactly what was done (or not done). I know it would be really disappointing to be cancelled, but you do want the best shot at this right? they are just doing their due diligence.
I am really, really hoping you don't have to go through the stress of being canceled but better that than the dreaded BFN?
it totally sucks that you have to deal with the old clinic and their ways...hopefully they will give up the goods on Monday and that will be that. am sending positive thoughts your way! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo!!!

OMG this board was down all day yesterday for me. It kept saying forbidden site when I tried to go here. Grrrr that is so frustrating! Don't they know I need my girls??

Katie Oh no hunny!! that stinks so bad. I also had to look up what hydrosalpinx is because I never heard of it. I still don't understand how it's possible that you have it. I also don't understand why during your whole pregnancy and birth of Ryan nobody ever said anything to you about this. I'm sure this weekend is going really slow for you, but I'm glad they had you start your meds anyway so that's good news! I hope everything goes smoothly tomorrow at your old RE. xoxoxo

Libby How are you doing my 2ww buddy?? Anything new and exciting? How is crazytown? I think I'm in the next town over, but I'm trying not to wander towards the boarder!!

Margi I do remember you!! I can't believe you have twins now!! Yay!! Thanks for popping in and cheering for me!! xoxo

Afm So I was doing pretty good...No crazy thoughts...no signs, no symptoms, nada! Then last night I had 2 different nightmares that I had a BFN!! :( Way to shoot down my PMA man!! After the 2nd dream I woke up in tears, and I was too scared to go back to sleep...great..I LOVE sleep, and now I'm scared of it. Then as I was lying in bed trying to tell myself it was just a dream and to stay positive I started feeling AF like cramps.
I also feel other pains that I don't think I've ever felt with AF, but now here I am reading WAY too much into everything!!
I hate the 2ww, and I'm only 5dp5dt. Way too early to feel anything in a positive way I'm sure. So I'm pretty bummed out.

Luckily I have the day off, and Barry is taking me to the movies to see wanderlust. That new Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd movie, and then we are going shopping for fun dinner foods for our OSCAR party tonight!! I'm so excited for the Oscars, and red carpet!! Brad Pitt, and George Clooney? Yes please!!
Hopefully I can control thoughts, and enjoy myself, and not be running to the bathroom for a T.P. check every 10 seconds!! Ahhhhhh crazytown...how I hate you!!

xoxo everyone!!
