Anyone know if Aetna PPO covers any fertility drugs?

Post by tortillachip »

Hi there,
I wanted to know if anyone has Aetna and if you are part of their infertility program? What does it entail? I called today and was disconnected several times. Does it cover any fertility drugs, especially injectables?
Thanks!

I have Aetna, and they actually have great Infertility coverage (other than they don't cover any donor expenses if you have to go that route). I'm not sure if it may differ by company, but my plan has $7500 lifetime maximum on fertility medications (and unfortunately, with the FSH drugs, that goes fast).

I have the same Aetna coverage and my specific plan had a lifetime cap of 10k on meds (CareMark is my prescription plan) and unlimited on fertility treatments. It was previously a 10k cap on both but changed in 2011 thank god. My employer is Bank of America, so it will probably be specific to your employer
