Christy- The big local women's clinic (where I often find myself dealing with the paperwork and basic stuff) has a 'monitoring' room where they do NSTs.... when you sit in the waiting room, all you hear is the "thump thump" of babies' heartbeats. It's awful. I've told them a million times that making all the women waiting for infertility treatment paperwork sit in the same room as the pregnant women (and the sounds of the NSTs) is just cruel. I hate it.

I'm glad your DH is on the same page with not wanting to wait anymore. We get told to wait all the time since we "so young" and it's so stressful. People don't understand how stressful the WAITING is! I hope you get your IVF class in 2 weeks.

LauraN - there was a casino on the boat, but that's really not our thing. Another couple that we became friendly with was really into the casino and actually came out ahead in their gambling. I just can't get over the "house advantage" and losing my money - I would rather by stuff than gamble! I also never got my period after my D&C.... so frustrating! It took a round of Provera 9 weeks post D&C to get a period. Provera should definitely do the trick!

Kerri (akdelp) - hi! *waves back* Oy honey - I'm so sorry about your spotting. Tomorrow is another beta or finally an u/s?

Gina - cruise was way more fun than I thought it would be - I definitely recommend! Would you go with your son (ie, family vacation) or without him (ie, romantic vacation)? Either way would be awesome! I had a yogurt for breakfast and a salad with a roll for lunch. So far so good! I just need to get my butt to a gym... ugh.

Amy (kerpupples) - getting so far along! I love the ticker! I think David suggested a break because this is all so stressful for us. I just don't think a break will relieve the stress... I'm not sure what will - which is frustrating because we don't want to live so stressed-out anymore. I think that the stress will always be there (hopefully after we bring home a baby it'll ease a little bit) and we need to work on better coping skills (our coping skills are great, otherwise we'd be crushed by the stress and grief already -- but things are just getting more and more frustrating, so maybe we need even MORE coping skills).

I take Effexor (a different kind of anti-depressant). I've been on anti-depressants for years now, even before the IVF. I can't function without them - and just one little pill a day makes my life so much better. I was told to start weaning from Effexor to Prozac at week 24ish. I was told Prozac was totally safe for pregnant women and there is almost no 'withdrawal' for the babies (which there would be with Effexor, which is more of a problem). When the boys were born at 24 weeks - I had just started switching to the Prozac. I was told to stick with my Effexor and that it was fine for breastfeeding. Find a doctor who is a psychiatrist that knows a lot about pregnant/nursing women.

Patricia - yup - the nasal spray stuff is used here too - but it's the same type of drug as Lurpon. Good luck starting that tomrorrow! Always exciting to start! 11lbs in 9 weeks is FANTASTIC! I don't know about the gel/cream, but I take 400mg of pessaries twice a day.

NIcole (blue) - how are you coping, honey? I really hope for good news on Friday

Maria - that's scary to be off the blood thinners when you know you need them, but I understand the risks of taking them while bleeding too -- that's super scary. I used to break blood vessels in my eyes from vomiting too --- so I was puking all the time with bloodshot eyes -- I had to explain to work that I was pregnant and not drinking! :D

AFM - BETA IS ZERO! Finally!

And, super weird, but I'm ovulating now. I have a follicle measuring 19mm on my right ovary. I have NEVER EVER ovulated on my own, not even after my pregnancies or miscarriage. Weird.

The forecast for the weekend is snow (which is a HUGE deal here!), so everyone kept saying that we should stay indoors and "have fun" and hopefully concieve a miracle. I doubt it. Remeber that D's sperm count last time was 14. Not 14 million, not 14 thousand, not 14 hundred.... just 14. So I doubt we'll get a miracle, but we'll try anyway!

They said that I should get a period in about two weeks and should be able to start my cycle then. I'm a bit nervous that I won't get a period. If I'm definitely ovulating, I'll definitely get a period, right? People who don't get regular periods are people who don't ovulate, right? About 2 weeks after ovulating, I should get a period if I'm not pregnant, right? I hope so!

So many things are closed over Passover (early April), so most doctors won't cycle then (like how most clinics don't cycle too close to Xmas in the USA). I don't know my new doctor's policy, but my old clinic wouldn't let me start after March 20th.... so I'm really hoping I get a period before then!

Leora-I am so happy that you Beta is finally at ZERO. Yay!!! Thats interesting about you ovulating on your own. Did you RE provide any feedback or thoughts on that. In any case, I am so happy that you will finally be able to get started. I will be praying for your. It is quite scary to not be on the Lovenox. I have a call in to my Hematologist but she never called me back yesterday. I just wasted to let her know what was going on and I wanted to get her thoughts. I'm a little upset that she didn't call yesterday but I will call her today. The bleeding continues. It has gotten better but it is still bright red. I just can't wait until this bleeding stops.

I am looking forward to our family cruise. We leave on March 11th. We really needy the time away. Your photos are beautiful from your cruise. Had you cruised before? I love cruising. We have been on about 15 cruises and are really looking forward to this one. The doctor said that it was ok to go on the cruise but i am still a little nervous with bleeding. I plan to take it really easy on the cruise and just lay by the poolside or on the beach. I think that will really do me some good.

Leora - YEA! Beta is zero! I think anything is possible with you ovulating. It only take one swimmer to get the job done! My girlfriend and her husband always had issues and after they would do the "funky chicken" she would recline for some time. It worked for her....maybe try that! I think if it doesn't work you would start AF.

Kynlee - I had OHSS pretty bad. My levels were well over 4200. It was hell. I was encouraged to drink gatorade. I did, and a ton of it. GOod luck tomorrow! What kind of puppy are you getting??

We - have fun on your cruise! I pray you will stop bleeding and your doc would call you back. I think it is such poor customer service to patients to not call them back....I work in the medical field and it enrages me when physicians are slow and unresponsive.

Ninde - Thank you for asking. I am holding in there. I am on POI injections, 1ml once a day....maybe the gel absorbs better???

AFM - Beta today was 654. Still didn't double from last time, but close. They said the soonest I can come in for an ultrasound is 3/15...they want to see if there is a fetal pole, due to my numbers. We won't be able to hear the heatbeat that early, but will at least see if there is a baby in there. If I were to go in on 3/12 they said it is very likely we won't see the pole. Has anyone out there had their numbers NOT double and still had a fetal pole? :? :? The doctors office didn't seem to optomistic that there would be....
FET #1, #2 - M/C
FET #3 - @ 7 weeks
FET # 4 - Canceled. Hysoroscopy and DnC
FET# 5 - coming soon! November 2012 or so.

Akdelp-I was reviewing the Beta numbers for the BFP's in out board and noticed that Jen8675308 and Bonnieucwv both had Betas that didn't quite double initially but have gone on to have healthy pregnancies. Please don't give up. I will be praying for you.

akdelp- Dont give up hope stay strong alot of miracles out there and some starting with very low betas and then rise up... I will keep praying for a good outcome on the 15th for you (hugs) .... We actually adopted a puppy its a austrialian cattle dog (blue) not sure what the father is but they think probably red coonhound so it will be a mix but she is so cute and I cant wait to get her.... :) My last dog was a pappion (8lbs) and now going to a much bigger dog kinda of nerve racking but my Husband has to go away alot for work so he wanted something bigger to guide the house when he isnt around... :)

AFM- Big day for me tomorrow ER here I come, hoping for lots of good eggs tomorrow :) Alittle nervous since i have OHSS and last time I remember being in some pain but I will keep drinking the gaterade :)

I am cracking up at the new M&Ms commercial. Hilarious! It's the one with the female brown M&M that is accused of being naked and having her chocolate showing. After she justifies that she is brown and not naked, a male M&M shows up saying "ohh, it's that kind of party" and strips off his red candy coating and proceeds to start dancing. FUNNY!

Maria- I'm glad they took you off the thinners. Who was monitoring your lovenox? The hemo or OB? I'm sure you are well protected considering the amount of bleeding. As long as your hemo is involved, I would think you can be comfortable with their decision making.

Christy- I'm sorry about your friend.

Adkelp- Your numbers may not be doubling exactly, but there is a range. I could hold conservative hope. Remember, miracles happen every day.

Kynlee- Good luck with ER! Can't wait to hear the report.

AFM- Was home from work today. Didn't feel well. I slept until the afternoon. Only one more day to wait and then we get the u/s. I just want it to be done.

Adkelp,
Maria is right... several others have had betas not quite double but still go on to have a healthy LO. I wish they could get you in earlier too, but it makes sense being it may be too early to see much happening right yet, but try to stay positive and I'll be praying that this is your time.

Blue,
If only Friday would only hurry up and get here, I know that feeling so well. I'm wishing the very best and will be praying for you too.

Kynlee,
BIG day for you tomorrow with ER, many prayers have been said for your surgery and I wish you on the best! So glad Margi told all of us about the med used to prevent ohss and more importantly I'm glad to hear it's working for you. Aren't you glad the med part is over, just think this time next week you'll be PUPO, how exciting if it's twins, like you said twins do run in your family so you never know! Awww I cannot wait to hear about your puppy's homecoming she's such a cutie-pie!

Leora,
Wahooo beta is officially at ZERO and you now ovulate that is awesome news! For a normal cycle with ovulation, AF comes within 2 weeks. You and David should still try, I know my clinic also tells me my dh has low sperm count but miracles still happen when you least expect them! Btw your cruise pictures are wonderful and I loved the handfolded penguin, perfect touch to your last night. It sounds like you and David had such a great time!

Maria,
Thank you so much for updating the IVF board each week, wondering if we will more ladies cycling in Spring, seems like last year we had more cycling in 2011, maybe that's our cue to jump over on the general forum and try to recruit them over here? I know I heard some say the board "feels" so big that maybe it's overwhelming but I like the group we have right here and until I'm the VERY last one remaining, I'm not going anywhere. Today I called clinic back and scheduled our IVF Attain class for March 13th, very excited that's it around the corner! I'm hoping they allow me to tack on the meds to the IVF Attain loan, definately would help us in a long run but saving our tax refund money just in case...

LaureN,
I agree we get probed and poked so much and have given gallons blood already, but the day we hold our rainbow baby we'll know it was all worth it, so we're willing to make this sacrifice...just never would of imagined myself ever being so comfortable in stirups that's all...I remember my first RE visit, she kept telling me slide on further down until my butt nearly hit the floor. :D As for the "yearly check" I lke that your clinic offers this, maybe I'll suggest this to my RE the next time we have a conversation with him just to see if they can accomodate the "yearly lovely pap check." I'm dancing with Kynlee that AF comes visit you soon!

Gina,
Glad ds new furniture came in, belgium furniture is made to last. Today while I spent 3 hrs at doctor's office for a eye exam I flipped through a Costal Living magazine and played with ideas, my house really needs a makeover-a change something, but not sure...Sometimes I'll flip furniture around but here lately I'm thinking I need more textiles...a rug and some curtains. When we lived in Ga, dh would take me to Savannah...I loved Tybee Island but more then anything loved riding our bikes through the spanish moss trees in the nearby park and one Sunday morning we got to hear the church bells ring as we rode by all the Southern homes with the big front porches with beautiful rough iron gates...makes me want to go back. But I loved touring the homes and see the Magnolia Plantation, I was so inspired I took pictures of everything even the curtains and then went home and designed some for the kitchen...I was more creative back then. Maybe something about having your first house makes you want to set out and do stuff like that?

AFM: More personals tomorow, eyes are make to normal but really glad to have some time off! Not sure what had gotten into me, but I work with this one girl who nags about everything and since the boss wasn't happy with her, this girl comes to me and complains...I listen to her go on about how the other girl works slow and how we could of had the visuals with access together better before the morning crew went home, and I tell her I stayed until 7 to help out knowing that the other coworker wasn't comfortable with visuals but it was only 5 maniquins, and had one side done before I left. She goes on about how the coworker was taking off the manaquin arms changing their position and spending so much time trying to help her for 2 hours that the shipment wasn't processed. I calmly tell her hey it's not a big deal there is nothing here we cannot fix. So she walks off and then comes back a few minutes later and complains that the boss got on to her all about not being productive last night and pretty much recaps everything I just heard her complain about. I honestly couldn't take anymore of it, had enough and went on telling her she complains way too much, seriously she got really quiet and walked off. I didn't hear her complain the rest of the day, it was nice but I know there probably was a better way I could of handled that. I know she sees me as half her age, but at the same time she's afraid to go to our boss with complaints, and when any of us have gone to talk to our boss about her, our boss will just say coworker needs to come talk to her, so nothing was ever happening. I told this coworker that until she talks with our store manager nothing will get resolved, but still she won't go. Anyway I don't like being mean but it's not fair to the rest of us who have to spend the day working with her. Thanks for letting me vent, hopefully this weekend will be better and no one gets hurt. When I told the store manager what happened she said she wasn't getting on to the coworker about any of this, said coworker took it way too personal. Obviously we have issues here and I'm not sure what else I can do...

Blue- I love that M& M commercial hilarious I still laugh everytime i see it :)

Christy- This is my 3rd time to get OHSS and the Dr has put me on it last time too, it definitely subsides alot of the pain I got the 1st time i had it... Still you feel bloated but I think it helps with it... I am drinking plenty of Gatorade and water already got my bed set up for when I get home with my drinks and magazine and book so I can just rest when I get home :) Thanks for the prayers :) Cant wait to get the new Pup I will send you a pic text tomorrow when I get her :) Miss my Kingston, but I think of it as giving another Dog a great home, my DH is over the moon that we are getting her...

AFM- just about to get going , I will update once I feel alittle normal from the meds today :) Hope everyone has a Great day... :)

Kynlee- When I had OHSS my RE also recommended salty meats like fast food burgers and pizza to help the fluid subside. Hope you are not too uncomfortable.

Maria- I am sure everything will be okay being off of it all together, but your Doctor sounds really great and on top of things, so I'm sure if needed they will put you back on. A family member of mine is on a blood thinner and it has bruise him so much. He now has blood under his skin on most of his body, but he can't go off of it I guess so it's bad. Praying that the bleeding goes completely away and doesn't come back and have no further complications.

Christy- I checked out the furniture store you told me about. It's very nice! We'll go and take a look when we move. Your Co-worker sounds like something else! I agree with you.....after a while it gets annoying! If someone won't complain to the right person nothing can be done. Glad your eyes are back to normal....I know mine have bothered me lately but I need to where my glasses more, so that's my fault.

Ninde- The food part is definitely the hardest part! Coming from the South it is even harder! Makes me hungry thinking about it. I am doing pretty good though...I've lost 6 lbs so far and just taking it slow. I started a journal back and it seems to be working. I'll bump things up a notch over time so I can get there at my own pace. Great job on the weight loss!! Don't worry that you aren't what they want, you will get there. Glad they didn't weigh you, although they shouldn't say anything if they had since you are clearly losing weight :)

Kynlee- I hope your ER went well today. I can't wait to hear the results! :)

Leora- We've thought about a cruise just for us but we are probably taking DS with us the first time. He didn't go to our last special vacation Hawaii (although we are taking him next time we go, we do plan on a next time!) so he deserves this one. It will be "his retirement" gift for doing so well with DH's deployments and being away from family. Since he'll be 13/14 when we go he can give us some alone time by joining a youth thing on the trips they do or just stay in the room for an hr or two so we can "go out". How cool that you got to do "Deal or No Deal" and you won some money!

Kerpupples- That is wonderful you like your OB! Glad you got a quick peek too! I don't have any experience coming off that medication pregnant but I did come off of it before. I just got tired of taking it with everything else I was taking. I did okay (I would just get anxiety bad) but I still needed one here and there, and would take one. I was given one that took it away instantly that was for if it got really bad, so I just did that occasionally when needed. That's great you want to try and do that. :)

AFM- Waiting.....waiting......I think that's all I ever do! lol. Everyone has approved his retirement except for DTRA (Defense Threat Reduction Agency) in DC. That's who he works for except in Germany. It hasn't left here yet because one of the retirement guys here had his hands full with the military downgrade and so many are leaving the service because of that, but he's signed it now so one more person here and it's off to DC! So we are thinking we'll know in a couple of weeks!! If he is approved then he can start his VA stuff (finding out how much he'll get for his aches and pains, which can be a pain in the butt process) and know how much extra money he'll get. The more % of disability he gets the better for us. And he can really start a job search and send applications. We will probably live in Alabama, but close to the the GA line. Ala doesn't tax his retirement :) but GA will. Depends on the job too. I would LOVE to live in Ft. Mitchell. VERY nice homes for a reasonable price but it's way out there and the drive at dark is really scary! lol but once there it's beautiful.

Crappy news for today.....DS has a bad tooth that suddenly got that way and it's a perm. :( So hopefully it can be saved but it will be a root canal. I hope we made the right decision about it which was more my idea, but hubby said he did agree and DS did too.

The decisions were to either go back to this Dentist (we didn't like so much BUT she didn't pick at the bad tooth like many will do, and hope the next doesn't) and do a local for the pain or manage the pain and go to the dentist down the road at another base and put him under. It was very stressful on him today (understandable) and it seems best, that way we know he'll be knocked completely out. The lady today said that the local might not be enough and she would stop but that's just more stress on him if that happens. This other place can do it and be done! I explained each to him and he went with the knocked out version. I think they will give him some gas to make him go to sleep then do the IV. If not I told him the IV may hurt some but it will be quick, he still said okay. So hopefully that was the best choice. We were also so proud today because he tried a couple of weeks ago to swallow a pill for a headache but it didn't go well, so we stick with liquid, but it just doesn't work well anymore with his age (12) so they gave him a pill form which was stronger. He tried and swallowed it just fine and it helped with the coating. So proud of him and he was too!! When I was little I would say I would take mine and I put them all in my moms plants and a sand jar I made once, LOL. I told them years later about it haha they were like GINA and always wondered why those plants never did well. Too funny! She also said, "Well I guess you did get better". :)
