New to Adoption...

Post by Sunshine1576 »

OK I have to be realistic, I may never have my own chance to being pregnant again (I m/c my first pg 2 yrs ago)...My husband doesn't think we are quite there yet but how do I pursue him, I'm not getting any younger. The thing is I'm so overwhelmed right now, what would be the best way to break it all down to researching for adoption. I know the website offers so much but what states in the U.S. offer free adoption? I cannot possibly afford $30,000 for adoption in Florida. Please advise.

Wow so much has changed in the last 4 months that that post should be updated...Today dh is much more open to adoption and we now have a plan that after we try the IVF Refund Attain program and we don't bring home a baby, most of our money will be refunded and we can use those funds toward adoption. Isn't it crazy how sometimes things work out with a little time? At least we have a plan and know within time one way or another our miracle is going to happen. My best friend is also helping me dive into the adoption paperwork as she has just finished her home study, but I know must agencies won't let you pursue adoption while going though treatment, we just need a backup plan to bring home our miracle one way or another. :D

Thanks David for sharing, I will have to look into that when the time is right.

Crazy how job situations can put everything on hold but I'm not giving up. You may see me posting back here on down the road but one way or another I know somehow a child will come into our lives as long as we keep this faith, our dream alive.
