spotting?????? plz resond

i posted yesterday but didnt get much response, so trying again. im 11days past 3 day transfer. we transferred 3 8cells. i started spotting on day 9. my spotting is very light and is a mucusy pink/orange color(sorry if too much info) but i am very scared. does this sound like a misscarriage or could it be implantation bleeding? or is it too late for implantation bleeding? thought of takin a HPT but terrified. this is my 3rd fresh cycle never had this happen. 1st ivf m/c 2nd bfn. any info would be helpful. aslo take the HPT or not? eeek

I would take an HPT, it would be accurate at this point. Take the HPT with your first morning urine, or make sure you havent had a lot to drink a few hours before. A small amount of bleeding is sometimes normal in early pregnancy. I would keep an eye on it, but take the HPT, when is your beta?

I'd say that it could go either way. Just because you are bleeding, it doesn't mean that it's over. I bled weeks 5-7 and am having a normal pregnancy. It is possible for you to have a positive HPT now if you wanted to take one. When is your blood test?

Well I took a test. And BFP!!!!!! hopefully no more spotting. My beta is on Monday so please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Hope the test are accurate. Bout to take another. Thank you for your responses. The people here are a great support. Can't thank you all enough.

Congrats on your positive HPT! And do stay hopefull. I had lots of bright red bleeding during my seocnd IVF and I have a wonderful almost 2 y.o. son as a result! It seems that bleeding in early pregnancy can happen fairly frequently after IVF.

today the blood is a little more on the red side which is completely freaking me out.the bleeding is not bad just when i wipe. and im a little crampy. hope those are just cramps from a growing little one. were u crampy as well with your bleeding? thank you for your responses.

also was the bleeding at the beginning of your ivf? and how long did it last?

With my first IVF, I had cramping like my period was right about to start at the time of my first beta test. I didn't have any bleeding with that pregnancy.

With my second IVF, I had bleeding during weeks 5-7; I bled more days than I didn't bleed. I didn't have any cramps with that pregnancy.

My doctor told me that 30% of pregnancies bleed and not to be concerned (yeah, right... I worried like crazy). There are a lot of reasons that you could be spotting: A lot of IVFers have an extra fluffy lining, a little blood leaking out as the placenta starts to form on the uterine wall, it could be coming from your cervix from all the meds and intrusion, and sometimes they never find out why.

Be sure to drink plenty of water and rest. Even slight dehydration can increase cramping.

I had lots of bright red bleeding that started at 9 DPT a 3DT. I took an HTP that day and it was neg. I honestly don't recall if there was any cramping as I was convinced that there was no hope. I had started my period on the very same day after my 1st IVF so I figured that was it. There was so much bright red blood that I just thought there was no hope. I went for my beta 2 days later, but didn't get my results the same day. That night in the wee small hours of the morning I did my last HTP just so I could know it was really over without having to wait for the clinic to call. Lo and behold it was positive!(?)
I did go on to bleed bright red for a few more days and I had one more episode of a large amount of bright red blood at 6 weeks but it seems that everything turned out well.
I know it doesn't always work out this way, but you do still have lots of reason to be hopeful!

I am 9 days into my 3 day 2 cell transfer. June 21 2014 2 day 6 frozen & I cheated 4 days after transfer got a negative HPT result ( which means no more of anything in my system) I'm cool with that result, so I did another HPT day 8 and got another negative result, sad and worried this did not take at this point. Today day 9 I started bleeding and not just spotting I am really bleeding. Having some dark mini clotting, and some fresh new red blood flow as though Ive started my period I am taking progesterone 2 times daily morning and evening, I have been taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid, and now I am at a loss for emotions. I don't know what this all means, tomorrow July 1 2014, I was told to do my first beta test but I can't possible see a positive result come of it. Then retest on July 3rd 2014 but then I will only be 10 days into this and then 13 days into it. I can see the 3rd of July being most accurate seeing how that is closer to the 2ww time. I am nervous that this first cycle of IVF did not take and and really bummed. I know to keep my head up but that's so hard under the circumstances. Has any one else gone through this and still had a positive result? I am going to do another HPT in the morning, see what it says, then go to my ob department and see what they say.

Spotting is very common regardless of success, and usually has nothing to do with miscarriage. Tell your center.
