Kynlee-
I know we must keep the faith and in the meantime let's keep praying because we know God will show us His plan and it's going to be bigger then we will ever imagine! Sometimes it has to be in His own time and WHEN it happens we will be in awe how great it is! I'm glad you enjoyed the Christian concert last night. I'm anxious to hear more about your next steps when you meet with the RE on the 28th. I also want you to teach me how to crochet and maybe I can encourage you to plant a spice garden? lol without my dh reminding me to water all the plants I would probably kill them too. I purchased 16 potted plants at Lowe's tonight for around 43 bucks not too shabby. Dh made fun of me bc I got the receipt out and counted them all and them bragged about my good deals..lol so here is the million dollar question...Why is it that we like to find how much we can save, while men see how much we spend?

LauraN - thank you, we took it pretty hard because it was our 5th time already. When hubby was home everything seemed better within a minute.

Ninde - How are you? Thanks for you support. Say, how's you friend doing, the one you were telling us about who married with Sinéad O'Connor? I remember reading about them and seeing their picture right after you were telling about it. Hope he's doing okay.

Akdelop - How terrible. We also discovered in December at 7 weeks 3 days there was no HB and because the beta number was incredibly high, had to go through a D&C. all within the week of finding out. These things unfortunately seem to happen more frequently for IVF patients. Courage.

Kynlee - Thanks for your wonderful positive attitude, I am so sorry that now I have to tell YOU that I'm sorry. But your positive way will make you become a mommy. Don't loose hope, we are all with you.

Leora - How are you doing? Just a little bit longer til you start again, and like you I agree it's better to actively try than wait without knowing. Hope you and David are doing a lot of fun while waiting for your cycle to begin, it is amazing that you manage to distract and do fun couple things!!!

AFM - AF came on Thursday, same time as hubby. So we drove to the RE's office and he saw no cyst. His suggestion was that we start an agonist cycle, like my 2 first fresh cycles. So we have started to down regulate for the past 2 evenings, and I'm trying to lift my spirits up. It is hard because nobody has an answer to why we have so many repetitive chemicals. Because my APS is kind of boarder line, mainly just one result that's troublesome, we are not sure this is it. We are afraid that there are so many things we don't know the real reason for, including not being sure about the PTL.
Anyhow, wishing everyone a nice weekend.

Love,
Kay

Good Morning,
Julia- I will be keeping you in my prayers.x

Gina- How is your son feeling? I hope he doesn't have to suffer all weekend long while waiting for the doctor to come back in. Maybe you could take him to Urgent Care, but then I forget you guys are in Germany so I don't know what options you may have? But hopefully the Codeine and Tylenol will relieve his discomfort and he takes it easy this weekend.

WaitingKay- You remain strong and you will fight this IVF battle! An antagonist cycle for last last IUI gave me a strong result with many follicles. But this time for my upcoming IVF they are putting me on a long lupron cycle, I wonder what they are thinking? Hopefully our doctors will twick the meds until they get us the best result! I hope you get to spend lots of quality time with hubs this weekend. I know it's nice to have him home with you. Mine is out playing in dirt planting in the garden, he gets up at the crack of dawn but not me. :D

AFM: Spending the rest of the morning planting my 16 potted plants and then head into work later this afternoon. Texted Belle's mom a picture of all the pillows and lampshade custom designed for her daughter's room and cannot wait to begin painting the walls pink! Hopefully we'll get together with them on Monday evening, been missing my old neighbors. :D

I found out last year that it is St-PaDDY’s Day, not PaTTy’s. The things you learn when you work with a lot of Brits! I still call it Patty’s because I like bugging them a little ;)

Sunshine1576: Thanks for researching etopic pregnancies for me. Sounds like you are having a wonderful morning. I wish we had Florida weather here. I am on the West Coast and it’s been raining ALL WEEK.

Kynlee: I am so sorry again.

Adkelp: I am so sorry.

Waitingkay: I am sorry – it sounds like a you have a plan moving forward. Having a plan always make me feel better when bad things happen.

AFM: Starting Lupron tomorrow and trying to take things one day at the time. I am excited to get my detailed calendar sometimes this week, I assume? My current calendar says ‘expect frequent ultrasounds this week” and “expect ER and ET this week”. During the injection class, we were told we would get a more detailed one.
Thanks for the etopic explanation. I have no idea where exactly my tubes are blocked… I have to remember “one day at the time”!

Another question… Sorry I feel like I am spamming the board with my IVF 101 questions! I’ve done a lot of reading and it seems like the progesterone shots and the suppositories are as effective. Is there a reason why people choose the shot?

Globetrotter - Some docs prefer that they can measure blood levels with the Progrsterone shots while with the vaginal form there is no way to verify how much is being absorbed. With the shots the can increase the dosage if your blood levels are low. With my first cycle I did only shots, my second only vaginal and with my third I did both. I personally hated not being able to monitor my progesterone levels when I did only the vaginal form .... But that's just me.

blueeyedreamer - I am in San Francisco. We've been lucky this winter but it started raining last week and has not stoppped.

fvrogers - I didn't realize that. Gosh I don't know. I don't know what's worse, going crazy because of the needles or because I can't measure the progestorone in my blood :?

Hi ladies

Christy: how was your gardening?

Globetrotter: lol, yes it st patrick's day not st patty's day but I wouldn't think you are bugging your british colleagues as it isnt a british st - st Patrick is an irish said t - cant imagine the british will care?!

Kynlee: I hope your husband enjoys the day. You asked if im irish and yes I am. My parents are irish and moved to britain. I was born there but have lived in ireland since I was 8. You could try coddle as a very traditional irish dish or bacon and cabbage.

Waiting kay: thanks for asking about my friend and sinead. Its not going so well and my heart breaks for him. If its ok to ask what is aps? How long will you down reg for?

Akdelp: how are you doing?

Nicole: and how are you?

Afm: doing ok but terribly tired and the flushing at 1am is pretty ugh. My dad was down with my uncle for the weekend just out of dublin. Got a call to say he was vomitting badly and slipping out of consciousness and my uncle had called an ambulance. I couldnt believe it, three and a half years ago that same uncle had called me to say my mum had collapsed when she and my dad were with him and they had called an ambulance and we were to go straight to the hospital. Unfrtunately my mum died that night so you can imagine what it was like when i got the call tonight. Its now looking like he has the winter vomitting bug - or at least that's what the ambulance men said. My uncle is going to go to the hospital but Noone will be allowed be with him because its very contagious. Its really tough for me too because i really shouldnt be exposed to him because of the ivf cycle so now im feeling really guilty!!

Ninde - So sorry to hear about your friend. He seemed so sweet in the magazine pic I saw.
I'm supposed to down regulate for about 10 days, then go for BW and an US. This is the first time I start an agonist cycle right when AF comes, so I can only assume that instead of timing the retrieval with my "normal" ovulation time, the retrieval will be determined by the stims and trigger shot. APS is Antiphosphoslipid Syndrome, a blood clotting disorder. I tested positive for "only" beta-2-glycoprotein, and two other tests came back border. This only might have caused either the chemical pregnancies or the PTL or all of it - or none of it. This last BFN cycle I was given Heparin for the first time, and had it since the first day (it was an antagonist cycle and the stims were given right on the start and those may be risky for patients with clotting issues).

Sunshine - Sometimes I have the same positive spirit as you and I say to myself we will win this battle, other times I'm just so angry! I let self petty get the best of me. But I think we all experience pretty much the same roller coaster...Sleep as much as you can and get a good rest. Just pumper yourself ad the next one will be it!

Globetrotter - you're so right! I don't know what I would do had we not been able o start something immediately. We are very much relieved. I'm so sure you'll get used the the needles!I try not to think of them too much because then I find it hard to inject myself when hubby is away (and he is away a lot).

Kynlee - I can't wait for you to try with the snow babies. This cycle is the first we didn't have any! I agree with you, it's very frustrating to know something is wrong, and something must be wrong for us to be trying and failing so much - and yet have no clear answers. It seems we have the same number of opinions as the number of Drs we have asked:)

Ninde - Ah ah, you'd be surprised. I had a colleague here from London last year around this time. He was totally confused with all the St-Patty's Day t-shirts and was mildly annoyed that we kept calling it St-Patty's Day despite his long explanation!

Globetrotter- My clinic doesn't give you a choice for the first 2 weeks during your waiting time, you have to do the progesterone shots. Then, they will reconsider (I guess depending on how your numbers look and how much you cry) and put you on the other stuff, but they told me that prefer not to until after they see the heartbeat, etc. I just sucked it up and did the shots, this last time up through the day before my D&C, because they didn't want me to bleed and lose any tissue that they could possibly test. I think that was the hardest, continuing the shots knowing my baby had died. But with the numbing cream, the shots aren't that bad. I do end up pretty sore, but it's no big deal and I did have bruises on my hips where the shots go....but, totally worth it to eventually bring home my babies.

AFM- still same old thing.....taking the BCP and waiting. I should get all of my meds on Tuesday and then I go in for my baseline SnS next Monday, the 26th, then start my Lupron on the 27th, then stimms on the 28th..... I'll just keep it short as not to type it wrong...Happy P day to everyone

No pinching here, but I love St. Patty's Day! hmmm you all really have me thinking now is it St. Paddy or St. Patty? The alternative just doesn't seem right, or even spelled right for that matter. lol

Globe- I absolutely love San Fran, want to swap houses for a week? lol but my last CA visit I got to explore Sonoma and Nappa Valley, those winding narrow roads leading to Castello di Amorosa was so worth it! I never sampled so many varieties of wine all in one day, and of course brought home some Pino Grigio delicis! :D

We- Speaking of going places how was your cruise? :D

Kynlee- I haven't clipped coupons in years, since we stopped taking the newspaper but I miss the Sunday paper, and whenever I go home for the holidays I'm flipping through one at my families house looking for the best Black Friday deals. Some places will allow coupon codes we can download from our phone and that always helps. Glad you had a relaxing day, which movie did you get to watch with dh? :D

Ninde- I'm so sadden to hear about your Uncle, it sounds quite serious I know it's a scare to the entire family so I will be keeping you all in my prayers. Is there a shot out there to get vacinated from this? Thanks I did enjoy gardening today got all 16 plants in the front flower bed and meant to take a picture to show it off before they wither away. But I love being outdoors any chance I can, we are considering concreting the back patio all the way out on both sides adding in some rocking chairs. I can see us sitting out there on breezy night and gaze up at the stars. We have had 3 guys come out to give us estimates and I told dh we better do it now or never. :D

Felicia- Thank you for sharing why some doctors prefer progesterone shots over supposities, I never knew this. :D

AFM: Fun day...With dh's "green" thumb, we got the front flowerbed finished- looks quite lovely! Spoke to AnnaBelle's mom and found out they can join us next Saturday for the birthday cookout I'm planning for hubs. (not sure what yet to plan but we know there will definately be a cake!) :D
