Hey girls! I'm so sorry I've been MIA, but I have been reading. Between my shower, getting the nursery ready, trying to transition out of work (I'd like to make April 5th my last day), & the everyday life, it has been really busy around here! Oh yeah, & yesterday we bought a house!

So, I'm 32w3d today. I'm doing good for the most part. I'm being seen every 2 weeks for my prenatal appointments, having u/s w/ the MFM department every 4 weeks, & getting NSTs 2x/week. I feel like I live there, lol! We also did our BF class, birthing class, & infant care class in the last 3 weeks. My back kills, my feet are swollen (I have cankles!), & I'm getting really tired again. But I wouldn't trade this experience for anything!

At the last u/s, which they did this past Thursday during my NST, baby boy was head down & baby girl was still head up. They are both mostly on my left side. They've been like this for a very long time, so something tells me they're comfy & not changing their positions. So, it's looking like a c-section for me. I will be scheduling that for somewhere between weeks 37 & 38, so middle to end of April. That is, of course, if I don't go into labor on my own before that. In the practice, there are 6 OBs & I've narrowed it down to 1 OB who I'd pick over all of them. But if it came down to it, I would feel comfortable w/ 3 other ones. There are 2 who I'm praying will not be the ones who'll deliver me...awful bedside manner & think they know everything & don't listen to the patient kind of doctors.

bodie- You're almost in the 3rd trimester...yay!

Maria- Glad you had a nice vacation. Can't wait to hear all about it! Yay on a great 12w u/s!

Alisa- How's little Evie doing? Thanks for the hospital list.

longtimerivf- OMG...congratulations! So sorry it was an emergency, but sounds like everything went as smooth as can be & you have your little miracle w/ you.

Kat- Yeah, I'm measuring 7 weeks ahead, so I pretty much look like I'm 40 weeks! When I tell people I still have 5 to 6 weeks to go, they look at me like I'm crazy, lol! I like the names! What kind of info did you get about the cord blood? Why do you need the tissue now as well?

Wishingandhoping- Congratulations!!! Amazing story! Is Eric home yet? Hope you've gotten into somewhat of a routine & getting some rest.

Amy- Welcome & congrats on double the fun! When are you due, so I can add you to the list? So sorry about the swollen ankles! I have them, too, & they're no fun. How did your NT scan go?

sunshine.12- How's the new job going? How did it go w/ breaking the news to them? I'm not sure if you had already talked about this previously, but are you finding out the sex of your LO? How are you feeling otherwise?

Jen- Woohoo on team blue! I like the name Landon a lot. Is that what you went w/?

Katie- How are you? How are your 2 princesses doing?

Nancy- Congratulations on your little girl! I'm so sorry about DH being in the hospital! I hope he has improved & is back home w/ you & your LO.

kbillsy- How are you holding up? You're definitely halfway through! How far will they let you go w/ triplets?

Lydia- How are you doing? Have you found out the flavor yet?

Barabara- Oh, a little boy! Now, you'll have 1 of each...how fun! How are you doing? Thanks for the hospital list.

Hello All -

I have been away a long time as we have been very very busy.

Today marks our 19 week 4 day ultrasound (and it is the big one where we find out the genders of our twins).

Today, we found out we're having.......

A girl....

:D

And . . .

A boy!!

We're ecstatic and couldn't wait to tell our parents.

Our induction date is 26-July-12 (38 weeks). My sister-in-law is from China. She informed us today that children born in the year of the Dragon (which is this year) are lucky. And that a girl that is born in the year of the Dragon is called a Phoenix and she is extra lucky.
I'm excited to have a daughter and son (a Dragon and a Phoenix). I was also born in the year of the Dragon, so it's great to keep the tradition rolling.

Hope everyone is well!

Cheers

-DragonDad

Dragon Dad: We're exceptionally excited about Year of the Dragon as well. My husband and I are both tattoo enthusiasts and have numerous tattoos. Mine are rabbit themed - our daughter was born last year in the Year of the Rabbit. My husband's tattoos are all dragons and our son is due this year in the Year of the Dragon. How cool is that?

Hi Moorebaby and the rest,

To answer your question about cord blood banking, we went with CBR for several reasons. One main reason being, if you or your hubby are in the medical field, you can get a $1,000 discount! We did cord blood and cord tissue banking, so instead of paying nearly $3K, we ended up paying $2K instead.

If you do plan on going with CBR, please follow my unique referral link: http://www.cordblood.com/landing/referr ... d=1-VF4LL8
This way, I'd get one free year of storage. :)

Message me for more info if needed.

Happy pregnancy, everyone. Enjoy it while it lasts! I totally miss being pregnant! I'm ready for another one! lol

We also went with CBR because of the heathcare provider discount. It is going to be around 3600 for both kids. We have stored all our kids blood with them. I didn't know about the free year of storage, I wonder if I could have referred myself since this is my fourth kid! They must be loving me.

I have talked to many pediatric specialists about it and they have all been on the fence about banking. It's pretty spendy but if you have the money, it could be worth something in the future. Bottom line, do it if you want to but don't beat youself up if you don't. Most people don't, and there are public banks available if you need blood in the future. There is a good possiblility there is a match in there somewhere for you.

I visited my friend today who just had triplets (IUI triplets) It was eyeopening. I think I really need to get on this nanny thing. I will keep you posted!

DragonDad, congrats on your boy and your girl. I didn't know about the dragon thing, might explain the constant kicking, I have two dragons in there!

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted here in a while. I was on a cruise last week. Then I came back and had an appointment with my OB on Monday. I received the good news that the two bleeds I had had gotten smaller. Then I had a pretty bad vomiting episode on Tuesday and nice again began bleeding quite heavily. I went to see my OB today and the babies are doing great however I now have a 5 1/2 cm bleed between the two sacks. I have been put on bedrest again. So I will be resting until at least next Wednesday. I have another appointment then. Jeepingnmy fingers crossed that the week if rest will heal the bleed. I just thank God both babies are doing well. Sending each of you much love.

Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well and progressing without any issues.

Kat - How are you feeling?? I definitely think we are true cycle buddies especially since we are both having boys! I love your names.

Jennifer - Glad to hear your little one is so busy - it give us such peace of mind.

DragonDad - Congrats on one of each!! How exciting. Do you have any names picked out as yet?

Ester - I am so excited for you!! I cannot believe how time has flown. When do you move into your new house? You have really been busy.

Longtimerivf - I am so happy for you. Congrats!! Be sure to post your birth story when you can - I just love reading them.

Maria - So glad to see you over on this board. I hope that you enjoyed your trip. Sorry that you are back on bedrest, but glad to hear your babies are doing well.

Hugs to everyone else!!

AFM - 29 weeks and counting. Feeling pretty good, just tired at times with a little swelling in my hands. Indigestion is kicking my butt!!! I keep a bottle of Tums within an arm's reach at all times I am trying to decide when my last day at work should be. At first I was thinking that I would work right up until the end. However, the more I think about it, the more I may want a week or two off before Samuel is here. Still on the fence though ...... what do most women do? I know that you ladies with multiples are in a different category, but those with singletons (or who have had singletons in the past) how long do you plan to keep working?

Fvrogers- I took a week before both of my singletons. My first came early so I ended up not having any time but with the second it was nice to get my final nesting done and not have to worry about anything but baby. Much longer than that and you might be ansy.

fvrogers~~ I am working until 36 weeks only because I will make more money on disability than working. I get 90% of my pay during maternity leave and it's tax free! I will probably get bored as heck but my SIL is going to have a newborn and my MIL is retiring soooooo I will have some friends to hang out with. Most people I know take 2-4 weeks off before.

Hello friends,
I have a quick question. For those of you who are having twins or have had twins, I am trying to figure out if we should go with one crib, two cribs, or two mini cribs. We are leaning towards two mini cribs that eventually convert to twin beds. What do you guys think?

Hi i''m new and posting to introduce myself. I have been reading for awhile and waiting for that first u/s to join in? Well Yesterday i had an urgent u/s cause i gushed some blood mysteriously over the weekend and ...found out that we are pregnant at 6 weeks with triplets! I'm very excited but also shocked, scared and overwhelmed. We had been joking about it being trips since the transfer since we did 3 embryo transfer but now it's real. Our RE talked about reduction before and I knew I wouldn't want that but info on carrying trips is scary, and my DH is worried about complcations and finances (so am i) so we have to do a lot of research and soul searching ... It's our first pregnancy and even though we are both in medical field we're totally new to this! I am already in love them! I've waited so long to be a mom, looking for support on this journey. nice to meet all of you and wishing everyone sucessful pregnancies!
