Katie, so sorry I have been MIA. Life is busy - had guests this weekend and while we had lots of fun, it left no time for anything else. Glad everything worked out okay for you. Hope you are enjoying your PUPO time. Yeah, right. The wait is a killer. You should know that my doc recommended transferring two embies, but since we had put three in last time I thought it was the way to go. Now I am looking at the possibility of twins...
I would probably POAS too, since you don't get your results until some ridiculous time after (its like the 27th, right?). Saturday might be a bit early, though. Totally understand wanting to anyhow - you've had a long wait too.

AFM, my 10 day wait is almost over. the U/S tomorrow afternoon will tell us how many heartbeats are in there. am feeling a bit anxious at the possibility of more than one. but, what is done is done. in the meantime, i am fighting some "wicked" allergies this spring. the early blooming trees are beautiful, but killing me. we went down to DC this weekend to see the cherry blossoms, which were amazing.

Libby Good luck today! I'll be thinking of you all day! Oh I love DC when the blossoms are blooming. Sooooo pretty, but yes, "wicked" pollen! When I lived in Richmond, Va I would go up to DC every spring...nothing beats it. I saw a few trees up here with tiny buds on them, and some tulips are peaking out in my front yard. I'm so ready for spring! xoxo

afm So I've been quiet, but reading everyday. My cysts caused me soooo much pain for a good 2 weeks. It was awful, but then one day I woke up and I was like...somethings missing...oh right..I'm not in constant horrible pain!! I'm trying not to think about it because I don't want to jinx it and make the pain come back haha seriously..I'm crazy!
Anyway I emailed my RE and asked about a uterine biopsy, and he said to come in and talk, and then he mentioned intralipids!
So of course I've been googling like crazy, and it looks like the results are amazing, and it seems really easy, and inexpensive, so I'm going to ask to do that during our next cycle. I figure it can't hurt, and I'll seriously try anything at this point! I also read that woman with severe endo (like I have) causes antibodies in the uterus that kills embryos, and that most woman with endo think they just have bad eggs (Like I was told by my old RE a million times, even though every embie we made was text book perfect...in her own words!) but really it's not the eggs at all, its the antibodies!!
SO I read this, and I read a bunch of other articles saying the same thing, all written by RE's, and I started to cry...And then I got MAD!!! Really Really Really MAD!! Why didn't anyone tell me about this before? Why, after 7 BFN's, do I not have my baby??? I am sooo upset thinking about what could've been. But I am also very excited because I might have found the missing link to my dreams coming true. After last month I was at a loss...I didn't know what else to do, and why this wasn't working...even with donor embies...not my "bad eggs"...it still didn't happen. But now I have something I can try that might actually help, and it's given me new hope.
So we are thinking of cycling in May. April is just so busy for us..we are going away from Barry's Birthday April 1st (yes he is a fools baby!) then it's passover, and then it's my niece's 5 year birthday...so there is just too much going on to add a cycle in the mix. But I'm going to call and set up an appointment with my RE, and then hopefully start in May!

Does anyone have anything to say about intrlipids? Chris...You took them right?? GI..you took them too right hun?? Any info or thoughts would be great!!

Frannie - Glad your RE is open to intralipids. I did do them.. I don't know if i really needed them but did them anyway. The intralipids cost around $50 and then there is the cost to have them administered. One place i went to charged $180 for the meds and the infusion. If you can get your Dr's office to do the infusion your insurance might cover the infusion, just not the meds. For a couple of my cycles i bought the meds and brought it to the Dr.s office and they did them in the office. I hope that this is your answer. Its crazy but some RE's don't believe in natural killer cells and that antibodies that your body makes will kill off an embryo.

Libby - Your wait is killing me too- haha. I'm checking in to see how your u/s went today. I hope it went well and that you didnt fall off the table - with joy of course! Ahhh, yes, same here, love the beauty of Spring, but my nose is running off of my face, well at least thats how it feels. From all winter with congested sinus issues to THIS?? No, not my idea of fun at all..

Franny - So happy to hear from you and that you arent in pain anymore!! I've heard of intralipids, but dont know anything about them really. Gi had many attempts and had success only after finding out about her NK cells, so I'm very curious to hear what your RE thinks about this. More importantly I want to hear that they feel that this will help and get you your long awaited BFP. I think you have every right in the world to be mad at your old clinic, I mean if somethings not working, then its their job to try other things, and change things up, you know? I'm just glad that you have a different RE and hopefully Gi will post you some info on her story. Yes, I am going completely nuts waiting to hear.. I went for my 1st beta this morning (8dp3dt) but they wont tell me anything until after the 2nd beta ( 12dp3dt) on Tues so they can compare the rise (well hopefully there is a rise) It sort of makes me feel like a small child who cant handle the truth, but every clinic has their rules, you know. Although I find it suspicious that my donor coordinator is out of the office for this whole week - hmm, maybe thats just something they tell their PUPO patients so they dont call begging to hear the 1st beta results?? haha, hey, I told you my brain is crazy this week, didnt I? Is it Tues yet???? Thinking of you always and will be here to cheer you on when you start this next round of madness. - xoxoxo

Chris - Do you feel that this intralipids helped? Did you do them on your BFP cycle?? I just want someone to figure out Franny and get her pregnant already!! Libby - I can imagine that you're feeling a bit overwhelmed right about now. I just think that even though it wasnt planned that way, that you can handle this and I'm right along with you with having no family to help out - it will work out. We are some really strong females around here! By the time that they arrive James will be able to help a bit too, maybe get you diapers or bring you burpcloths. You have plenty of time to figure out the details and there are always moms of multiples groups too. Just try to remember how you were blessed twice, ok honey? Dont be scared you can do this!

Franny - I hope its not too early but I am going crazy wondering so I'll put on my brave face and POAS tomorrow. Yeas maam, FMU it is - eeek, what if it shows nothing?? Can this be any more stressful? Who doesnt love paying loads of money to feel like we're being tormented, lol

I know it was too early, but you know how it gets when you are so hopeful. I think i may skip tomorrow and see if I can hold out until Monday (11dp3dt) I swear time has stopped moving normally and is just crawling by.. Is it Tues yet, lol.

Katie - I have seen lots of FET betas that are lower then fresh cycles. Your not out of the running. In some ways i love POAS and in others i just hate it. I didn't POAS on my BFP cycle just cus i dreaded so much of seeing another negative. All my other cycles i was a POAS queen.

Libby - Congrats on your twins. I know its overwhelming now. Just think on how many people do have twins and manage. it won't be easy but yes it can be done. Hoping for a Happy and Healthy pregnancy for you.

Yes, for my BFP i did intralipids, but you have to remember that mine was also a DE cycle. i can't say if the intralipids helped at all but for the $$ it is worth it to try. I will be doing intralipids for my FET cycle.
