Crashing as always :D

Leora - Sending you hugs hun. On the bright side, soon you will be cycling!!

Ninde - Goodluck!!

Globetrotter - Glad you are getting through with the Lupron, everything is so easy after that. My first RE said it was OK to mix, while my second was against it (he did not think there was enough research to support it being safe). I think it is just another doctor preference thing. I never mixed, the needles were no big deal for me. But you should definitely ask if you think it will make it easier for you. You will be done with this before you know it!!!

Babysoft - Congrats!!!! I was always one who waited until my beta. I had no self control when it came to POAS so I had to stop myself. I just love seeing the BFPs come in :D

Hugs to everyone else.
Me - 33
DH - 39

Ninde,
Wow you've triggered! I will pray continuously as you go through transfer tomorrow that they snuggle in close to mama. Just think this time tomorrow night you will be PUPO, how exciting! Remember nothing stressful, no insanity is allowed!

Blue,
How was the run today and isn't it nice to have a distraction away from IVF? I had so much going on this weekend with dh's birthday and really needed more hours in my day. It's amusing how peeing on a stick can get so addictive. For me I have to wait until beta day b/c my mind plays too many tricks and I've seen far too many- that haven't turn out in my favor, sooo unless I'm late I'm not testing and wasting my money. I didn't even purchase a opk this month since I've been in this journey so long that I am convinced it will take multiple treatment before anything actual happens. Anyway I am excited you are planning to cycle this summer. Feeling this particular board has gotten too big for me to keep up as a list mistress so I'm leaving it open for any volunteers as well. I would probably be more likely to start a May-Summer thread a little later on.

Kynlee,
I'm thinking you have a RE consultation this week? Definately let us know what you find out as far as her recommendations and all. I know I cannot say this enough but I'm glad you have frosties for a FET cycle and don't have to go through all the injections again. How are you enjoying Bella?

Greekchick and Babysoft- May your time in this two week wait fly by, I'm wishing you THE best always. x

Globe,
 Interesting concept on mixing the meds, you are a clever one! I absolute dread going through the process again too and isn't our body is going to receive them in all in a matter of 5-10 minute increments anyway? I say put us to sleep and then give us the shots! But seriously I don't know effective they would be, and just making sure you are talking about adding them all together in one syringe? omg Are you really considering this, lol you now have me considering it too lol!

AFM: Friday night I laid in bed and even before that in the bathtub crying with flashbacks of what happened exactly two years to the day of seeing our first and only BFP but quickly l had to say goodbye. For every birthday since then we've had people over with big cookouts so I can try to make it an even more special day for him and no reflect too much on our past. I'm glad he had friends over, and they brought so much beer to go w/ the bbq pork sandwiches, oysters, shrimp and cheesey spinach dip... I intended to make him that homemade vanilla pound cake but I got so overwhelmed that I had to pick one up from Publix. x

I never thought of mixing the meds! Must ask about that. I took 4 shots per day and although the needles didn't bother me, the annoyance did. I did lupron and gonal f in the am and menopur and gonal f in the evening.

The only shots that really are a pain are the progesterone. Can't do the oil, broke out in hives. Major pain, literally. I do prog in ethyl oleate. It doesn't have as long of a shelf life as pio so it often isn't first choice.

I get lumps in my hips and have lasting pain that spreads down my hips long after the shots are over. Weird.

Ninde, congrats on triggering. Can't wait for your report. My run today sucked. It was a walk and a very tough one. My legs were too spastic and I had a lot of pain. I was not happy. But, I have learned to be at peace with my good days and bad days. Today was just a reminder that I have to face the challeng of the disease and sometimes I don't get to be in charge. I pushed and stayed out for the two hours I planned on, but instead of 8 miles I did 6. It sounds like a lot but after abou an hour and half my legs loosened up so it paid off.

Greek, no way I could hold out till beta. I would lose my mind. The roller coaster sucks but for me it's the better alternative.

Globe, love SF. I would prob never be able to come to terms with housing costs. I was on a short term contract and got a per dime but it wasn't enough to justify any apt. I rented a room from a lady and shared the house with two other tenants. There were 4 of us plus pets. It drove me nuts. The view was magnificent. I would go to taco bell on the beach for lunch!

Christy, now I'm hungry. Sounds like a good party. I'm sorry you have negative memories that mar the celebration. Same with us. Our first anniversary day was my first day of bleeding for this m/c. Sucks.

Leora, what's going on? Just getting anxious to get started? How is your couple time and counseling going? I've been using my Xanax this past week. I understand depression well. Thinking of you.

Everyone else, happy day to you.

sorry - just had a bad day yesterday. Nothing specific, but I felt like crying all day. I went home and cried and cried and crawled into bed and watched a movie.

We are trying to decide what we are doing. The new IVF cycle is in April, but what next? Me getting pregnant again is just a nightmare, and that's the BEST outcome of that cycle. We are researching surrogacy and it's just so difficult. We can't get any straight answers about how long it takes, and how much it costs. Grrrr.

We also decided to re-investigate the donor sperm IUI idea. So I called the sperm bank to make an appt.... the next available appt is September 13th?!?! WTF?!?! Apparently, there is huge demand for donor sperm. :(

Patricia - Good luck today! Update us on how it went!

BabySoft - congrats on your BFP!

Greek Chick - still holding out on POAS? I hope your beta is great on Thursday!

Globetrotter - I take Menopur and Puregon (with Ganirelix) and I was never told to mix my drugs. I take 3 individual injections, one right after the other. It's not too bad!

Christy - anniversaries are so hard. I'm sorry it's been 2 years and you are still waiting...

Julia - how's your 2ww? Going nuts yet?

AFM - other big news - we adopted a second dog! Gah! We'd been talking about it for a while, and the rescue shelter has adoption stations in the park on Fridays -- we were walking by and met the cutest little princess! :D She is about 8lbs, about 10 months old, and terrified of EVERYTHING! We've named her Eloise, and she is getting along great with our 30lb mutt Johnny. So cute to snuggle all together.

Good Morning Ladies,

Greek - I'm so sorry to hear about your bfn....I'm was hoping for a positive outcome! There is never really an explanation for why this happens to us, the fact that I'm 34 with an fsh level of 98 (yes, 98) at one point is something no one can explain to me! I'm not sure whats next for you, but I pray that if you decided to try again...you have a positive outcome! Don't give up! It took me 11 years to get to where I am now, so I know what its like to be frustrated and confused! Stay positive and determined!

Leorira - Good to see you feeling better & Congratulations on your new puppy!! I hope everything goes well with your upcoming cycle! I noticed you said there is a wait-list until September.....is that the only place available for donor sperm?

Sunshine - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Three years ago in October, I loss my daughter at 26 wks. It was devastating to say the least! For a while I never thought I'd be able to get back on this roller coaster, it was just too much for me. But with time and prayer, I'm now able to talk about it without bursting into tears; it does get easier! We are strong ladies, we've been given an uphill battle, but we fight through it! I wish you all the best and pray that with every day the pain of your loss lessens!

Ninde - I've got my fingers crossed for a great ER and fert report for you!!

Julia - I hope you feel better and get your BFP with ur first beta!

I've seen several ppl mention the mixing of meds. I ALWAYS mix my meds! Please keep in mind I've only mixed menopur, follistim and bravelle. I asked my doctor right off because I didn't want the burn of 3 shots, he said it was fine. I've never mixed lupron with anything else and nor did I ask about it so I can't say yay or nay with that one!

AFM - Not much has changed...still having to pee way too much! But on a better note I was ale to push my beta test up from Thursday to Wednesday, so I'm very excited about that!!

I hope all you ladies enjoy this upcoming week!!

Ninde-praying that all goes well with you ER today. Please keep us posted. I am logged on to skype in my iPhone if you want to reach out to me that way.

Sunshine-I am sorry that such a wonderful day brings you bad memories. I am praying for peace in your heat. Sending you a great big hug.

Leora-praying that you feel better soon.

Babysoft-glad to hear you are feeling better and that you managed to get your Beta moved up. I can't wait to hear about your great Beta on Wednesday.

Julia-how are you doing? Hanging in there?

Greekchick-I am so sorry to read about your BFN. I was so hopeful that you would have a successful cycle this time. As babysoft said, sometimes there isn't an answer. And that is one if the most frustrating parts of the process. Please take all the time you need to heal. Please know that I am here for you a's well a's all of the ladies on this board. I am praying for you and sending you a big hug.

Someone asked about mixing meds, I believe I also recall mixing Menapure and Follistim but never Lupron. I recall asking and my RE said that the Lupron could not be mixed.

Sending everyone lots of xoxo...

Hey ladies - wow lots of movement on the board today! My ER is actually tomorrow but thank you for all the good wishes :D

Greek: Oh I'm so sorry and as Maria and Babysoft have said there sometimes is no reason anyone can find as to why IVF doesn't work but i know that doesn't make things any easier. I hope that the result is wrong and that your beta gives you better news and I'll light my candle for you tonight x

Gina: Sounds like you had a great day yesterday :)

FvRogers: Thanks a million for crashing! I hope you and the baby and dh are keeping well?

Christy: Thanks for your good wishes too :) So its egg retrieval tomorrow, I'm not quite sure when the transfer will be - but I'll be PUPO soon I hope :) I'm sorry to hear about your grief on Friday evening, that must have been very difficult. I think you are wonderful that you make such an effort for your DH on his birthday when you are struggling with your own sorrow. I know that we all try to pick ourselves up, etc, but I honestly feel we should applaud ourselves for that - not play it down or say "well things have to go on" - they do - but give yourself credit for how strong you are too x

Globe: I smiled when I saw your post - I used You tube last night to remind me how to do the trigger injection

Nicole: Seriously - well done on the 6 miles - sounds like it was pure hell and you stuck it out.

Leora: thanks and I'll let you know tomorrow when I come round! :D Your new dog sounds lovely!!!!

Maria: Thank you :) Have sent you a skype and will after ER tomorrow too.

Julia: Thank you. Now get back to bed!!!! Seriously though, do rest.

Babysoft: Thanks too. Thats great that you moved your beta :)

Afm: Just finishing up in work, all clients showed which is great but thankfully nothing too difficult today. So just a session now with my supervisor (who is just lovely) and then I'm home, having dinner and getting ready for tomorrow :)
