LauraN: thanks - and dont worry youre back before my transfer :D looking forward to supporting you through your stims, retrieval and transfer :D

Greek - I'm so sorry for you both.. Sending lots of hugs and well wishes to you both!

Ninde - Yeah... 5 is a good solid number.. Let these babies grow!! I did mine on Friday and still feel really bloated!!

Babysoft - praying for BFP!!

AFM- Question.. has anyone had heartburn right before there transfer? I feel like I eat anything and I get heartburn right away. I never really get heartburn so its weird that I have it almost everytime I eat since last Friday! Are Tums ok to take??
Thanks!
Good Luck to ALL!

Ladies, sorry I haven't been so active here lately. Things are crazy here and still paranoid about retirement stuff. It was all sent electronically so hopefully the waiver is back before the week is over. If they try not to approve that waver we are going to have issues and people better run! We will be so angry! However we think it will go fine since he's well over 20 yrs and they approve people that just want to leave Germany early.

My "Uncle" I mentioned that was sick and didn't have long, passed away yesterday and the funeral is Wed afternoon. He is a cousin but we always called him Uncle. Him and his wife had been married over 50 years so I know it's going to be hard. Their house is so huge and it will be lonely in there. Can't believe my Grandmother and my "Uncle" both passed away while I've been gone. Nov and March. Ugh.....

I'm just ready to get back to the states and jump on the IVF train. We are just waiting until then.

I still check the boards every 5 minutes! :)

Ninde- Hope you get GREAT reports on your eggies!!

GreekChick,
I just read your update and yes it's sooo hard when "we're left in the dark" with no explanation. But the fact is you are not giving up and that makes you so much more determined and more likely to make this dream happen! I sincerely wish you all the best and I know your doctor thinks it's NOT over yet either. I never heard how many eggs were retrieved and fertilized in this last cycle. Although maybe he can change up your protocal to help you have better response with stimulation i.g. helping you create more eggs for PDG testing purposes. We never know what's going to happen, but I can say ALL this IVF cycling makes us so much stronger! You keep your head up high and know we are right here supporting you every step of the way. x

Gina,
I'm so sorry to hear about your "uncle", I know you wish more then anything to be there for the service tomorrow, but you will be there in presense and all those memories you will always hold so close to your heart and that is what he would of wanted.

It can't be that much longer until they get all the paperwork with dh's retirement finalized. Aren't you glad you guys didn't wait until the last minute to apply? Nevertheless it sounds like this has put you through toooo much chaios already, I will praying the rest of way goes smoother, I guess that's why we plan these things early to allow for hiccups to be resolved. Like you said dh has already put in 20 yrs of service so once the details get worked out you both will be on your way! Certainly planning this retirement far ahead as much as you have will help make this move possible. And once you get your house, you'll be planting a garden with dh in your big backyard with a muscadime running along the fence-line! :D

Kynlee, Sounds good certainly looking forward to hear what your RE says tomorrow, hopefully it will reconfirm that you're cycling with me in May! :D Today dh asked me if I wanted to take a weekend trip up to Chicago for a 2 hr workshop and get paid $200 on APril 15th. While we were looking at flights I asked him is Chicago anywhere close to Rhode Island? Oh well it was fun for a moment but knew it wouldn't break even, even for a one day trip. He was trying to find a way to earn some money while taking me to a Jazz Club all in the same day.lol knowing him he'll find a way! mentioned we could ask my mother to book the trip but he's not kin with stand-by lol too many not-so-good experiences with airport layovers and not to mention it's also Spring Break so maybe not? Then again who knows what will be going on in 2013 hopefully we'll be too busy with our bundles of joy! Now this makes me want to go to Chicago even more now wish he hadn't even told me about the chance to go! lol he can be so spontaneous at times... We had the contractor out this morning extending out the patio on both sides of our home so I should be a little more conservative with money I guess but distractions are nice aren't they! And to top everything that's happened today...in the business district with all the air conditioners running, a transmitter was blown downtown so dh's campus where he works closed at 9 so he got to take today off and we spent the morning planting more cantaloupe as the contractor poured concrete. Never like anyone working on the house with me just there so it was so good to have him home. :D

Cyn,
Have you called your nurse to see what they recommend taking for heartburn, that is the best thing you can do in this case.
Keep resting and reading a novel to help the time pass by.

Anton,
Interested in hearing more about how you are doing overall. Any new job perspecitives? My dogs are going stir-crazy out in the garage as we allow the concrete to dry, but I need someone's decorating expertise! We had a big birthday bash for dh last weekend and Sara (Annabelle's mom) brought over her patio table and chairs for us to borrow since we had 12 guest. I might take advantage of eatting outside while my mom is down next week visiting us, so I have to figure out a scheme. Have you been entertaining much lately? Anyway I almost forgot to tell you on my way home from picking up dh's birthday cake last weekend I stopped by my old neighbor's new place and picked up Annabelle so we could have a little girl time together before guest arrived. She loved her new pillows custom-made for her bedroom and I found out her mom had taken back her danisk black and white duvet cover since it was more beige-looking then white...so anyway will have to research the internet again since it's so expensive to make a comforter, already tried well over $200 just for material alone. So anyway she told me how she's missed her old neighborhood I could imagine it being weird coming back to familar surroundings, I told her she will always be welcomed to come over here anytime. She showed me her dress she picked out for our party. I was teary-eyed it was the same dress (brown and teal) I had made her last summer! (I was surprised it would still fit, but her mom had asked me to make it a size 12-14 so she could grow into it.) She helped me so much around the house! I mean she cleaned the sliding door and the front window the told me not to look that she had a surprise...When she finally showed me she had scrubbed the vinyl siding (from pollin) and hosed it down...I was so amazed her OWN mother was more amazed she said she can't even get Belles to make up her own bed! lol I never seen a 10 yr old work so hard and here's the thing I never had to ask her to do something my husband normally does, I brought him out there and smiled so big, said he was so proud. Earlier that morning her dad brought over the lawnmower they had borrowed last Fall and he ended up mowing our yard! I must say dh HAD a very NICE birthday especially to get out of doing yardwork! I got him a pair of blue jeans, a teal long sleeve button-down with sky-blue, gray and teal striped tie, bown loafers with a fossil watch. His friends from the college got him a tackle gift card lol...with a birthday card that had us laughing so hard pictured this a 60 yr old women in her bikini. The card read "it's your birthday your fantasy- not mine!"

More personals to come, I honestly think I wrote you ladies a novel today! I did get a contract today for the IVF Attain program
but waiting until mid-April to sign the loan paperwork (to save us money on monthly interest). Anyway Belles just texted me. :D

Greekchick – I am sorry Greekchick. I hope the news is sinking in and you can move forward soon. I have no experience with this – I wish I could help in the same way other ladies here have.

Cyn22 – Congrats on the transfer Cyn22. I’ll be stalking you for updates.

Ninde – Also stalking you Ninde for updates on the transfer!

LauraN – How exciting! Our dates are close. My ER/ET are schedule w/c April 9th

BabySoft –I hope everything is OK. I have no experience with this but tend to agree with fvrogers that it could be implantation spotting.

Sunshine1576 – You make me want to move to Florida. Walking on the beach after work sounds wonderful!

AFM – I had my baseline appointment this afternoon. All is well, Lupron (Day 10!) did what Lupron is supposed to do. It’s great because with no side effects, I was started to wonder if it’s doing something! Oh I did gain 10 lbs but I blame the birth control pill more than Lupron for this one. Oh well. I don’t care but I need new pants.

He said both ovaries look good. He counted 6 and 7 follicles. Does that mean that there will be 13-14 eggs to retrieve? Or will I grow more? I start stimming on Friday.

I asked my dr about the risk of etopic pregnancy in my case. I realized that he removed 1 tube (I can’t believe I somehow missed that?!) and ligated the other. He said there is still a chance of etopic but it’s very, very low.

Hi everyone

Gina: im sorry about your uncle and that you wont be able to go to the funeral. Ill include him in my candle, is it ok to ask his name?

Knylee: how are you?

Christy: that's great you are getting the paperwork soon.

Globe: im delighted your re has been able to say the chances of an ectopic because i know you were worried. Im not sure what day you are on for stimming? If you are early on you may recruit new ones but if not you will probably continue to grow the follicles.

Babysoft: good luck today!

Greek: how are you doing?

Afm: ok, got fertilisation report. 4 of the 5 fertilised! In our first phone all she said they were going for three day (I did two day last time) and i was thrilled. I of course had to push it and reminded her that last time we for either 6 or 8 of the 10 fertiliaesed but only two made it. So she rang me back and said as they are planning to put 3 back (gulp!) she would look again tomorrow morning and would hold a day 2 appointment for transfer (ie tomorrow) for me as well. So now im torn that I've pushed it! But on the other hand I did get pregnant on a day 2 in august. What do you ladies think?

Hey Ladies,

Awwww....I was driving home from my b/w appt and started reading the board. I felt so loved seeing you guys checking on me!!

Greek - I hope you are feeling better and I'm happy you have your appt with your dr. It's a great idea to write down all the questions you have, I wish someone had told me to do that early on as I would always forget one important question because something else popped into my head. It was very hard getting my doctor on the phone once I left the office and the nurses never wanted to give me any definitive answers. I'm not an expert I'm only going by what I've read and what my RE told me, but 5 day transfer was suppose to be better, only because they've had an opportunity to see which egg are the best. I was told earlier on in the process they won't know if the egg will stop. But I think if you have a smaller number of follies, like in my case, it really doesn't matter! They say back inside of you is the most ideal place for your eggs to be so it seems longer just gives you more of an idea how good the eggs were! I hope that helped some. You are so strong, but don't be afraid to let out your emotions, even when hubby is around, sometimes that helps so much! When I loss my daughter, i didn't want to breakdown in front of hubby because I just didn't know how he'd react and I didn't want to have to see his hurt, but once I did and we shared our hurt together...I really began the process of healing.

FV- I'm so excited for you...I can only imagine how wonderful it is to see and feel your little one growing inside of you. Soon you'll be able to hold and kiss the baby everyday all day!!

Laura - Good luck with your stims, I hope you grow wonderful follies with great eggs! April 7th is right around the corner....I'll get my fingers crossed for you.

Cyn - I always have heartburn as I have acid reflux...I will say it didn't get aggravated with ER so it may have been something you ate the night before! Best of luck....divide eggs divide :P

Gina - I'm so sorry for your loss! Hope things get better soon! Good luck with DH retirement, seems like all is going to work out as you wanted!

Kyn - Thanks for the information...the spotting has stopped so all seems well! Good luck with your upcoming cycle.

Globe - Glad is all is going well with your stims. The amount of follicles you have now isn't necessarily how many you will have at ER...it's you AFC...whats there resting. When you stim you may grow more!

Ninde - Congratulations...that's a great report! I hope they continue to grow and you have a great transfer and some to freeze.

WeHave- Hey Lady how are you little beans? Have you felt any movement yet?

AFM, as you all know I went for my beta this morning....but I still haven't received the called for the result so I'm just waiting. Of course you ladies will be the first to know because hubby has no clue what they mean either way
On another note...these PIO shots are really killing me and I asked the nurse today could I switch to something else like the vag sup but she told me no...I mean I can barely walk! She put two circles on my rump and said well shoot yourself here....i told her it's not the location thats the problem its was the meds and the golf size balls on my butt!! Argh...Well I will keep you ladies posted!!

babysoft-praying for a great beta for you. I cant wait to read about the results. As a nurse and someone who had PIO injections for 11 weeks or so, I will give you few pointers ont he PIO injections. This is what I did and I never had a bruise or a lump on my bottom. First I would apply prilocain/lidocain cream (you can ask you doctor for a prescription). i would apply it for about 10 minutes prior to the injection. Then I would apply an ice pack for about 10 minutes. Then I would wipe off the cream and do the injection. I rarely, if ever actualy felt the injection because the ice really numbs the muscle very well. The numbing cream just allows you to have the ice there that long without feeling the sting. One of the most important things is to rub the area vigorously for about 2 to 3 minutes. This will help the oil spread and be obsorbed. The lumps form when the oil sits in one area. You realy need to massage the area hard. I hope this helps. Please keep us posted on your Beta results. I just cant wait!!!
