Globetrotter- great er!! So happy for you. Rest up, feel better and please keep us posted as to how the fert report is!

Beta today is 2343, nurse was very pleased with my numbers. They more than tripled since Friday. Next beta is Wednesday, which should be the last blood draw.
Dh is out mowing and I heard the mower stop and he ran in the back door and had me follow him outside. My cat had her kittens in the flower box. So precious! There are 5, 2 black/orange stripes and 3 calico (I think that's what the orange and white striped is?) like her. Maybe she was good luck waddling around all full of babies lol.

Hi ladies

Greek: those tests sound thorough. Im not any days past im afraid, I started bleeding last fri and my beta is not til this thurs.

Julia: congratulations. Your numbers are wonderful and im delighted for you

Ker: thank you very much. And that's interesting what your re says.

Christy: thank you. Your prayers are joining with mine. Does your dh think your going back to work full time willaffect your feelings about having a family?

Nicole: my dh is like yours - he has been there for every u/s including baseline and retrieval and transfer.they wont let him into retrieval room but he stays with me til I go in to the procedure room and then waits in recovery. Im really glad the itching has died down and you are an inspiration with your ms and your marathon training. Truly.

Globe: 18 is marvelous. Rest up.

Afm: still bleeding heavily. Really tired now with it. Ladies I would also like to say thanks for your support and hopes. I realize we are all at different stages and right now I really do need your support. I hope I can still continue to support everyone else whist also using this space to say what's going on for me x

Julia, I will keep praying and I'm glad you are doing well. Maybe those kittens had something to do with your good luck, you never know but I do know there is going to me more then one mama in that household! Oh my goodness your news is the best thing I've heard all week, enjoy your days to come!

Ninde, Absolutely this thread will always be our ideal place to come for whatever we are going through. I know others here who can relate and we need their support more then ever.

Maybe dh is concerned I'm putting our plans on the "back-burner", well my boss still thinks we are now looking into adoption but that was my orignal plan however dh wants to pursue IVF in July, who really knows? Dh also told me colleges in Texas and Oklahoma has job openings, he also told me he really doesn't want us to have to move, he likes it here too. The question he will have to face is if he doesn't get into the private sector, will he either change professions (so we can stay) OR does he apply for other out-of-state positions in his profession and we move?

Do I want a family? Yes but I don't want to create a hardship on dh and my thoughts are if I get lost in my work I won't let myself feel depressed, but dh is somewhat right I don't want to take the risk again. There has to be other options out there for us but dh doesn't seem to think so, he's all for IVF and I hate the idea of knowing what if it doesn't work and then we would have to finally come to terms of agreement, OR would we ever know when to stop? Maybe it's anxiety of "not knowing" and how can it happen when you're used to hearing what you already expected the outcome to be. Every doctor I've been to cannot give us a true medical diagnosis it would give me all the reason to want to try IVF if I could believe I had a good chance? Maybe I'm looking for the easy way out? Honestly I'm tired but I'll do it again for dh but my heart is telling me to move on knowing there are so many kids out there to adopt who need loving families. We need a stronger guarantee with IVF, which explains why we applied for the IVF Attain Refund program, with my age this program is good for two more years.

Today as I was walking into work I saw the cutest little toddler, she reminded me of Shirley Temple with her golden locks of curly hair. I pretended just for a moment that she was an ophran and I could take her home with me and hav an instant family. No I'm not kidnapping anyone but the idea of that being my little girl helps me cope with seeing others with kids, even if I don't know the mother's given situation. People should never take their little ones for granted, ever!

Patricia - for me, the progesterone is always enough to hold off AF until I stop it. The one time I had bleeding during the 2ww, it was super light spotting (the cycle was BFN) for just a few minutes. I'm sorry you are still bleeding. Can you do another cycle sometime soon? I'm still hoping for a miracle for you, but it seems unlikely.

Julia - upload them somewhere else (photobucket works well and is free, but FB or Google Picassa also work (but more public)) and then copy the Image URL (very important that you copy the right one -- not the one that is HTML code, but the one that looks like a website). Then use the tag around the link (ie, replace the word 'sample' with the Image URL link) and the picture should show up! Post pics of the kittens!

Your second beta is great! After beta gets above 1000, you should see something on an u/s and once above 10,000 you should see a heartbeat. How many days past transfer are you? Those numbers sound really high and doubling fast. I'm the last one to wish twins on anyone, but sounds like a possibility.

Christy - we are sooooooo ready to adopt too. If we could skip the whole getting pregnant/being pregnant part we would. I hate hate hate hate when people say "can't you just adopt?". The answer is a bona fide "NO". Adopting is an incredibly difficult (and nearly impossible here in Israel) process. I'm sorry DH isn't on board with switching tracks to adopting... for some people (and at certain parts of this 'journey') having a biological child and experiencing pregnancy/childbirth is important. I hope you can figure something out that makes you both happy. Have you done couple's counseling? I find it's really helpful to have a third party.

Amy - any news on the 'flavors' of the twins?

Nicole - I doubt any DH's are allowed in the room for ER -- it's real surgery. Maybe if your DH was a doctor/nurse! When are you cycling again?

GreekChick - that's called an endometrial biopsy, when they scrape the lining. They do it to check that your lining is good. There is also a study (started herein Israel) that an endo biopsy the month before an IVF transfer can help improve implantation rates. I've done it twice. Hurts like a B*ITCH (just to warn you!)

GlobeTrotter - 18 is fantastic! Good luck on the fert report! I hope you get a good 5 day transfer

AFM - am I officially waiting for AF yet? :D Last night, I took my BCP on schedule, but I'm not taking one tonight. Based on years and years of BCP - I expect AF on Friday. Come on, witch!

Has anyone used a Diva Cup? It's like a reusable tampon -- a kind of inverted diaphragm that you use to collect menstrual blood -- then you empty it, rinse it and put it back in (boiling it once a month to sterilize after each period). I like the idea of being "greener" and cheaper than buying tampons every month (costs $30). I can't find where they sell them in Israel, but I can buy online.

Boring at work. This week is Passover, so none of our clients are working. We are working, but there isn't much to do.... not enough funny cat pictures on the internet to entertain me!

btw - Im' a huge fan of 16 & Pregnant/Teen Mom (and have been an addict to the show since before we started TTC) --- one of the teen couple's (who lost custody for a few months of their 3yo daughter because their house was derelict and dirty!) is pregnant again ---- "unplanned but we're thrilled". Sheesh. Who wants to tell me again about "God's Plan"? Grrr......

I'm attempting the picture posting from photobucket!
Image

I don't think it worked...I pressed the Img icon above the message box, put this inside... ( http://m1059.photobucket.com/albumview/ ... g.html?o=4) and it didn't work I guess.

Leora- my transfer was on the 23rd...so however you calculate it, I think today is 18dpt?

[*sample*img]http://mob1059.photobucket.com/albums/t ... 194101.jpg[/img]

like this (minus the *sample*)

you are 18 days past transfer, but what day did you transfer? (day 3 or day 5) if it was a 3day transfer, you are right on track for the average twin pregnancy, if it was a day 5 transfer, you are right on track for a singleton (which does mean anything -- no guarantees of twins or not until u/s!) http://betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Twin http://betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Single

It was a 3 day transfer! so twins is likely?
Thanks for the help on the pics lol

I'm pretty sure your example of how to post it was what I did but I'll try again. I'm not usually this thick headed!

Julia - your ER day is your "ovluation day" - so 18dp3dt = 21dpo. Check out the site I posted -- they have averages of singleton/twin/triplet pregnancies. Again, nothing is a promise -- at 17"dpo", my beta with my first singleton was 350 and with my second twins it was 200! So you never know. But your betas are quite high.

How many embryos did you transfer?

I woke up thinking I sent a personal addressed to the wrong name...sorry but I really need to keep myself from losing my mind. But I worked so hard yesterday with my commission sales and made some extra money thinking could I still apply for a 30 grand loan, now that would be crazy...

Leora, I got your message this morning and I really appreciate your support. I guess we need to figure out where we're going to be living before we can really jump back into IVF. But I'm doing whatever I can to support dh right now and I know this has to be temporally.

Julia, awww the kitties are so precious, Annabelle would love a 5th cat and her mom would kill me for saying that. lol Take care and let us know how you're doing along the way.

Cyn- I am so sorry... :( Thank you for sharing your story, I am sure it is hard to talk about. How horrible that your ex passed htat way... I am sending you a huge hug...

Leora- doing the A/F dance for you :)

Christy- Stay strong things will happen for you, I know its tough right now cause you have alot going on with DH and his job but hopefully soon everything will fall into place... By time July comes you will be in a relax state of mind to start right back up.. Ill be praying DH gets the call for that Job and that he can see how beautiful adoption is... Its definitely something I been thinking about too.. Our Dreams will come true we have to just stay hopeful and trust in God to show us the right path.. xo
