christy - i don't know. but what if this situation is a blessing in disguise. if your husband is looking for employment outside florida, there are many states where fertility coverage is mandatory. if you are open to moving, why don't you look into it. or some employer who offers coverage that includes fertility treatment.

Ninde - I second what others have said. At my clinic, there's 9 weeks of progesterone injections. Based on what they said, the cream is as effective for fresh cycles so I asked to be switched to that... but it's definitely important! I think you should change clinic if you can.

ASF - Ninde, you were right. I am much less sore today, 90% better. Still in pain but much better. I am expecting the 3-day report tomorrow but I doubt we will do a 3-day transfer. I am exciting to get a status report on those embryos though!

I used one of those due date calculator based on the egg retrieval date. Cracks me up that according to the calculator, I am 2 weeks pregnant. Ah, I wish. Sigh.

Nicole - I'm so impressed with your running. I can barely walk 30 min on the treadmill! I kinda would love to get 'into' running. I'll ask my trainer about it. How did you get into running? -- and I agree, anxiety sucks. Luckily, I have a Rx for Xanax to help me get through this cycle!

Julia - I love the ticker! How far along will you be on Monday? 5w6d? You may or may not see a heartbeat then.

HopeThisWorksM - congrats on triggering! I love triggering, because it means the shots are all over What did your doctor mean? If you don't have any embryos to transfer, he'll cancel the cycle and you can do it again? Otherwise, is this the last one your insurance will cover?

Amy - congrats! Guesses at 16 weeks (if she got a good look) are really accurate, usually. You'll get confirmation in a few weeks, but for now, congrats on boy/girl!

Patricia - so sorry about your BFN. I've heard that the reason IVFers need progesterone is because the placenta doesn't make progesterone until week 10 or so -- for regular women, the corpeus lutem (the 'popped' follicle that the egg came out of) makes the progesterone. For IVFers, because we don't have corpus lutems because of the ER, we need the progesterone suppositories. Did you not take them with your miscarriage past your BFP? I don't think it would have made a difference in this cycle, but I would definitely stay on the progesterone supplements until week 10!

Anna - welcome back to this side! Crazy how many people are trying for #2 from our Winter 2010-2011 group and I'm still trying to bring home a baby. Are you doing a medicated or unmedicated IUI? We'll be only a few days apart, hopefully!

Christy - moving sucks. I hope your DH finds a job near where you live now. It's so hard to uproot and move.

Globetrotter - a pregnancy technically starts with your "last menstrual period" -- the day you ovulate, you are 2 weeks pregnant. So for IVFers, the day of the ER is 2 weeks pregnant, if you get pregnant. It's a little stupid, but it's so ingrained in the medical profession for so long that we're stuck with it.

AFM - Well, AF should be here tomorrow, but I'm nervous because I have no cramps or bloating, which I always have before AF. I was on a different kind of BCP, so maybe that's the difference? I really hope she shows up tomorrow so I can start on Sunday! I know pushing off a few more days isn't a big deal, but I don't want to!

Leora-Monday I will be exactly 6 weeks. I'm hopeful to see the hb but realistic enough to know we might not. I just want everything to be healthy and on track.

Particia- i'm praying for you and you are on my mind.

Afm- i'm really sleepy. I have limited energy in the morning and by after lunch time i'm kaput. I can sleep at the drop of the hat and for me that is not normal. My boobs are killing me! When Dh goes to hug me I have to stand a certain way so he doesn't hurt them lol. My clinic will do the u/s on Monday, one 2 weeks after that and as far as I could ascertain release me to my ob right after that. As long as everythings still going ok.

Ninde - I am feeling the same way!! I have had 3 Fresh IVF with ICSI (First two cycles were 3 days but 8 cell at another clinic) this cycle was 2 5day with ICSI and all 3 IVF's all BFN .. This cycle which looked most promising didn't even make it to 8dpt5dt when I started to bleed.. OMG did I bleed for 5 full days!! It was bad! ugh.... We finally have our appointment tomorrow with the doctor and I already have so many questions and what he plans to do in this FET cycle to get these babies to stick!! I had my son naturally 15yrs ago and nothing has really changed with my health , the problem was my DH and his blockage so now 3 cycle later I can't even get these babies to stick.. Any info you have please send it my way!

Still having migraines buy my bleeding has completely stopped. I think it's been over a week, maybe two since I have had any bleeding. Thank God

You will love this - i tried to take your advice last week and asked dh to make appointment to give sample for freezing and they said no because they have tested the 12 straws they have for him and said they are perfect and there is no value in more - agh!!! And no, last time when I was pregnant they wouldn't give me more but this time i found a nurse who said if i got a positive she would get me a script. I also wonder if they say no if my family doctor would do it. It may be the different bcp that has you a different way. If you start a few days late what will it do to your timings?

Afm: got beta result. It was less than 2 so absolutely no implantation. 6 weeks after miscarriage last time it was higher than that! I want to thank you all for your support and information. Julia - classic first trimester symptoms! Get used to them, they will last a few weeks.

Patricia - I've heard PIO is better than suppositories, and I've heard that suppositories are better than PIO, so who really knows. Contrary to what LYD said though, I was on Endometrin suppositories and my clinic was able to detect my levels in my blood. They were borderline, so they added injections on top of the suppositories. I should also add that I've used Crinone also but ONLY as a supplement to PIO, and only prior to pregnancy. I guess one TINY positive is that you don't have to wait around for AF after your BFN since you've already had it.

darn I think I just lost my entire post lets try this again

Good evening ladies I am in desperate need of your input tonight. So as I mentioned yesterday I went for baseline bloodwork yesterday and was sure that I was on my day 3. I have been having a slightly lighter period this month that started out with brown spotting and slowly picked up a bit but still not very heavy. So with yesterday's sns going ok I was confidant that I would get a call today saying that we are good for our next sns in 10 days. Instead the nurse called and said that they got a beta of 35 I am in total shock!!! don't even know when I ovulated and the worst part is that she said my progest was only 7.5 and that the doc wanted me to start crinone. I am beside myself....the numbers are really low and with my bleeding I think I am m/c please any advise ....I am so shocked and confused this has literally never happened to me

Annashope: ok, now im sorry but im a little confused - i thought you were waiting to start an unmedicated iui - are they saying that you are pregnant?!! So if yes, next question - how long have you been bleeding? Sorry if Im asking silly questions, I have read back over your posts but cant quite get a handle on it. In case im totally on tne wrong track and my questions arnt valid - lie down if you can - it seems to be the solid piece of advice every clinic gives around bleeding. Im in ireland so its 1.04am here - I'll check back in first thing in tne morning. Rest, rest, rest

Ninde you are absolutely right I was starting to work toward an unmedicated iui so I thought I was having a period and went in for my baseline and to my shock was called and told that my beta is 35. I have been spotting since Sunday with some heavier bleeding but not as heavy as a full period. I just assumed it was a period but apparently it is not.
