I took a hpt test

I am on day 8 after transfer i'm on my 2ww. I could not stand another minute and took a hpt. It was negative. I know they say that is too early is it really? Any one out there ever do this? I feel so sure now that I am not pg. I'm so mad at myself for taking the test.

A good reminder to all of us not to test early

Just remember Loopylou tested early and I think all were negative, but just got a BFP from the clinic!!!! So, basically it doesn't mean anything until you get your proper test. BEST OF LUCK!

Try to watch some good movies, read books and maybe do some shopping to take your mind off it for the next couple of weeks What am I saying? I know it is next to impossible.

I should smack your cyber bum but I won't because I am only on day 5 and am desperate to test BUT I won't, well not just yet. I can so see where you are coming from though as it is doing my head in like you wouldn't believe. This is my 4th TMT and I have never wanted to test early so why now?????

I know Loopy did and she got negatives each time and then on the right day she got the BFP so don't worry too much but do try not to do another one - Please?

hi tammi,i did a hpt on wed,thur did 2,yesterday morning before blood test did another one(dont tell tracy) all neg- and then had the blood test yesterday at 10am and got a bfp,so there you are,i know its really hard,and i can`t be a hipocrit,but if you do them just remember it can be a false result, i am proof, only five days to go,is that right?

Tammi - you're definitely not the only one to think about doing this....but we're all watching - so stop!!

It's usually pretty pointless to test early due to the residual medication and hormones in your system. They throw the testing routine off kilter, so they're normally only good for pregnancy testing where there have been no meds.

It's damn tough getting through the 2ww but....look at it this way. If you're ++++ (and you will be ), you go straight onto another wait of either 2-3 weeks before your first scan. After that, more weeks of waiting for more scans, then more for any testing you might have....and that's without looking at the whole 9m stretch ahead of you. You might as well develop some waiting strategies!!
