Patricia - do you have a regular OB/GYN -- talk to him/her about your concerns. S/he'll probably prescribe progesterone. I find it really strange that your IVF clinic doesn't. Mine does estrogen supplements too during the 2ww (and first 10 weeks of pregnancy) which is extra, but the progesterone is REALLY important. --- I'm sorry the adoption thing is so difficult for you too. People really don't understand that we would do ANYTHING to just bring home a healthy baby - not biologically ours, I don't mind never getting pregnant again, etc - all of which are huge sacrafices --- and adoption is just a nightmare. When the nightmare of IVF is the easiest/cheapest/fastest way to become parents, the world is really f*cked up....
HopeThisWorksM - Yay! 9 eggs is great, especially when you were expecting 7. And 7 of 9 fertilized is great. How many will you transfer? If you have 7 growing, will you try for a 5 day transfer instead?
Anna - WHAT? WOW! That's amazing! I'm so excited for you! I know someone else here had a surprise BFP (Karin? Kairen? shoot, I forget her name) while waiting to cycle and had a healthy baby. Crazy that your IVFs didn't work, but your 'might as well try' IUI did, and now a spontaneous pregnancy! Hurray!
Christy - 6 new pairs of shoes? Wow! I'm not really a 'shoe' person. I have sneakers, sandals, boots, dress shoes, slippers - and that's about it! I only go shoe shopping when one of mine wear out or break! -- btw - good for you for saying you can't go to the baby shower. So many people in my life 'expect' me to be okay with things like baby showers and birth celebrations and stuff like that -- and maybe I 'should be', but I'm not. And I have to do what's best for me. So KUDOS on rsvping no.
Nicole - sounds so nice to run outside. Where I live, it's really mountainous - I don't think I could run uphill! So far, I'm walking on the treadmill -- instead of nature and wildlife - I watch E! True Hollywood Story!

Maria - glad to hear the girlies are doing well - but that sucks about your MRI results! I hope your neurologist can figure something out to make the headaches stop!
Laura - congrats on being PUPO with a little girl! Enjoy your snacks and movies! (Anything good?)
AFM -
Where the F*CK is AF?!?!?!
I was expecting AF to come on Friday... now it's Saturday night and no cramping, no bloating, no spotting, no symptoms - NOTHING.
WTF?
I'm trying to stay calm. This will only put us a few days off schedule. I start my stims (hopefully, if baseline is okay, which is always is) on CD3 --- so now I'm just waiting for my G*DDAMNED period to come. Sheesh
I guess that if by Tuesday I have no sign of AF, I'll call my doctor (it can take 'up to a week' to get a period after stopping the active BCP- but for me it's ALWAYS been 4 days). I know people who were anovulatory who were cleared to start stims even without a period (the baseline showed no growing follicles and their lining was thing - and hormone levels low). So maybe I can do that. I soooooo don't want to have to take around of Provera or whatever to bring on AF -- that was the point of the BCP!
I'm so pissed at my body.
