Annashope – What does crinone do to you? I haven’t have any side effects yet (been about a week). I am also surprised at how it seems to stay up there. I use this type of creme for yeast infection a few times and that was messy but crinone isn’t bad…

ASF – Final report today, they were able to freeze another embroy. So, 18 retrieved, 17 fertilized, 1 transferred and 3 frozen at day 5. I was hoping for more frosties (out of 17 fertilized eggs).
Also – Is anyone paranoid that the embryos got stuck to catheter and did not transfer? How likely is that? I couldn’t see the US while they were doing it. I know the embryologist checked the catheter but what if it got lost in my cervix on the way out or something. Breathing….

Leora: glad af has come but wow, cant she be awkward?!!! Could you put the sns off a day? You asked about my obgyn, I dont have one. I was wondering if my family doctor could/would prescribe the progesterone if my re wont?

Globe: lol, im glad you are breathing!!! Dont worry, your little embryo cant get stuck anywhere, the person who did the transfer will have made sure he/she was transferred right into your uterus seriously you have now done all the hard work, relax as much as you can, stress isnt good for you right now.

Gina: it sounds like its hard to know what's the right thing to do. You have the right to not be in touch with your niece without having to explain

LauraN: how about "eat, pray, love" - that's a really nice movie. Im with leora on game of thrones, I enjoyed that and now on series 2. Watching breaking bad at the moment but its a bit violent for your 2ww I think its definately with talking to my family doctor about the progesterone and i may use your line that progesterone isnt crack if my re gets difficult

Afm: I have a crazy busy week coming up so I've tried to take it easy enough this weekend. Starting to put a new presentation together but other than that just read, walked our dog and baked. Went to see hunger games last night really thought it was good. Also back to a good diet and exercise from tomorrow. Id like to drop 21lbs by the end of the summer.

ok so I am being a bit neurotic but I am attaching a pic of the sticks. The very top one is from Friday and the bottom one is from today. I know that the sticks can't say how much a beta has gone up but on Friday the line was still a little faint and today it is darker than the control and came up instantly so I think I am ok right??? what do you girls think....its so hard when you don't know what is happening inside

Ninde-thank you. We had a nice Easter and had Easter lunch with my father-in-law. It was a bit tough because it wad our first Easter without my mother-in-law. She has Alzheimer's and lives in a nursing home. Last year we were able to have Easter lunch with her but this year it was impossible. She is total care at this point. Very sad situation. In any case, my father-in-law was happy to have the family over for lunch. I'm glad you kept yourself busy this weekend. I also sat The Hunger Games a few weeks ago and I also liked it. Oh and I also love Game Of Thrones!!! Totally addicted to it. Can't wait for episode #3 to come on tonight at 9pm.

Annashope-those are definantely positive. I can't wait to hear about your great u/s results.
Leora-glad to hear that AF has finally arrived. I also think you should keep your appt tomorrow. Best of luck. Keep us posted.

LaureN, That would be fun to meet! You never can tell, especially when he's summitted his job application to an area called Victoria, TX, is that somewhat close to you? Dh has also applied somewhere in Maryland and Oklahoma....and hopefullly more leads willl come his way. Hard to say how everything will play out, but I made him promise thst he won't give up on this profession even IF it means moving!

We and Ninde- I want to see Hunger Games now! I love Taylor Swift's song- "Keep your Eyes Open." I reflect on the words and associate it with what just happened with dh.

Leora- Congrats on AF showing herself, yay now it's offically here and the stimming begins when?

AFM: Ugh I'm so sorry I cannot stop talking about dh losing his job... Dh told me if he did receive a job offer he would sell his truck, purchase a van and live out of it, at least until he got tenure (full-time) somewhere AND I told him absolutely NOT! Fortunately I co-signed on his auto loan- meaning I have a big say in the matter! He's so paranoid and just doesn't trust anyone right now, thinks that nothing in life is ever guaranteed and just like that- a job can be taken away from you when you least expect it! I mean what kind of institution does that to a hard-working loyal employee anyway? He was badly mistreated and it's going to take everything I've got to keep him from losing it. He's okay when he's talking amongst other people but when he's by himself he has crazy thoughts. I used to pray that we could stay here in FL, but now I'm feeling I just want him to be happy. We've been talking about our next steps but nothing is concrete not until he gets A job offer anyway. The other day he pointed out that we live in a tourist town and he feels it would be hard to raise a family here, maybe but we live 40 miles out from town and it's really quiet and we enjoy where we are. Anyway we took the boat out yesterday to a place called Shell Island. A surveyer came over and asked me questions related to the BP Oil Spill and I answered that looking at the tourist we have that come into Chico's (where I work) I felt most have forgotten about it and things are back to normal. We rode for a while eventually docked the boat where I sunbathed while dh snorkeled. It was wonderful just to get away for a little while. As we were leaving a friendly man (who could pass as my dad's age) came over and engaged in a conversation with dh and me. Talk about timing, he shared with us his own personal mishaps and I looked over and saw his beautiful family, his grandchildren and I thought maybe we all are dealt cards where unexpected things happen and causes a big bump in the road but it's all about how we pick ourselves back up and make the best out of what we have. We have so many other blessings in our live and I know so often I tend to take what I personally have for granted. x

i went grocery shopping and when I got home and went to use the bathroom the was blood again in the toilet and when I wipe so scared now it was quite a bit of blood. I am not having cramps but I am constantly terrified that I am loosing this baby I mean wha t else causes this kind of bleeding? Maybe I need another beta...ugh I was just starting to believe this was our miracle...why can't this just be a little easier

Anna'shope: Im sorry to hear about the bleeding. Please rest up and call your clinic. It really could be the crinone - this is horrible its happening to you. I'm sending you so many positive and healing vibes.

Christy: Ah I'm really sorry its so tough for your DH. He sounds like a strong man, very determined which is absolutely great, but can also mean if he gets an idea into his head its hard to talk him out of it! I'm really thinking of you during this time and think you are great that you can support him so much

Anna - try to relax. I had heavy heavy bleeding with my boys at 6, 8 and 17 weeks - and they were fine. No one ever found the reason for the bleed. Your HPTs look great, but it's time to stop with them!

Globetrotter - I've always had about 15 eggs, and about 3-4 blastocysts at day 5, so your sounds pretty good to me. You would have had more embryos at day 3, but your odds per embryo are better with day 5. In theory, there are embryos that may have made it in your uterus that might not make it in the lab, but it's better to do the transfers with day 5s that are more likely to work. Congrats!

btw - no way the embryo was stuck in the catheter. The embryo is in fluid, and the doctor watches the fluid go into your uterus on the u/s -- the emrbyo didnt get lost - no worries!

Patricia - you don't have an OBGYN just for regular stuff? From before the IVF, regular check ups, PAP smears, birth control? Ask your family doctor, but also find an OBGYN -- you'll need one when you're pregnant!

Maria - I also watch Game of Thrones! Did you read the books? I read the first one and loved it (a few years ago) but could never get 'into ' the second. DH has read all of them

Christy - losing a job is super traumatic - even if you know it's coming and expect it, which y'all didn't. Vent all you want. It feels like your whole life is turned upside down - not just about money, but also about where you are going to live and what he is doing with his life. I lost mine last Feb and it was crazy. I remember when my DH lost his (Nov 2008) and it was awful. <big hugs> I hope you figure something out

HopeThisWorksM - I always POAS - but I think this time I won't until beta day. So let me know how that goes!

AFM - SnS this morning went great -- and tomorrow night I start my stims! 2 Menopurs/day and another SnS on Sunday (so 5 days of stims and then another check up).

Girls thank you for the prayers I really appreciate them. The bleeding has once again slowed and became brown so I just don't know anymore. DH is even worse than me..he is a nervous wreck. I will call my re shortly and probably go for another beta tomorrow. I know many women bleed in their first trimester but when it happens to you its so scary. I am trying to take it easy but its difficult since I am home with Paul all day and he is 21lb and has to be picked up every 2 mins but I know I can only do my best. I just keep praying that our little Easter miracle holds on.

Leora I am so glad you get to start Thank for your reassurance it really helps. When I was pregnant with Paul my sister in law was pregnant with the exact same and she had bleeding that led to a m/c . I was devastated for her and I am trying so hard not to think that way. So your words are really encouraging.

Annashope-I am so happy to hear that the bleeding has stopped. Yes, I do think it it iuld be the crinone. My RE said that one could have pretty bad bleeding from having the applicator bump up against the cervix. You wouldn't even feel t bit it would definantely cause quite a bit of bleeding. Brown discharge is good, this means that it's old blood which is a good sign. From personal experience, I can tell you yha I have had pretty sever bleeding since the beging of yhisnpregnancy die to a subchorionic bleed and out babies are doing just fine. So keep your head up and don't loose faith. Sendi g you a great big hug.
