Congratulations Julia! I know it's so overwhelming hearing the heartbeat for the very first time, lol I feel like singing along with Madonna. But anyway soooooo happy for you, you very much deserve nothing but baby bliss!
Annashope, You WILL get through this one baby step at a time, I cannot wait to hear how tomorrow goes!
LaureN, lol dh told me today he's applying to FOUR community colleges in surrounding areas close to Houston, TX. Wouldn't that be insane if we were going to the same clinic? He's also applying to a college in Decatar, AL (which would be very close to our family, not to mention cost of living is so much better in Al in comparison to Fl.) I'm anxious to see how everything plays out.
Leora, I know what you mean sometimes I get emotional but I have to figure out what's best for us and the timing has to be right but I know it's not over, I will be cycling once we get all settled. With today's economy, no job is safely secured. We either sink or swim... I'm glad you start stimming this weekend!
Kynlee, thank you for thinking of me today...it made my lunch break so much better hearing from you.
Mellow, we meet in full circle, I so remember you with Maribel's precious gummy smile! We long to have 2 kids someday too.
AFM: Took me a power nap when I got home... feeling much better. One of dh's colleagues is retiring soon so as she goes through her exit review dh found out today how she is going to really make a huge deal out of my dh being so mistreated. He feels like the scapegoat right now, students along with others in his division are furious! They are sending emails to the vice president that this was unexpected and unfair, remarking how dh made an impact here and how the students loved him.
Honestly we don't expect anyone will change their mind and give dh his job back. But this particular colleague has given $$$ toward scholarships/ foundations with everyone knowing her she is very influential in our area with 30 yrs of service. If anything she can find out more why they decided not to renew dh's contract. Dh is trying to find closure so we feel maybe this colleague can find out more when she talks with the dean w/ her upcoming exit review. In the meantime dh is applying to many other openings and he especially liked TX because they require 45 hours to graduate and offer a wider spectrum of academic classes. He just needs to be somewhere that has a stronger solid structure, seriously our college here is literally turning into a techincal school (reducing the hours needed to graduate.) In the meantime, I'm working on a promotion at work enabling us medical benefits so we shall see what happens next.
