girls please advise on subchorionic bleeds

Post by annashope »

I had more dark brown spotting last night so RE wanted me to come in and we found out that I have a rather large subchorionic hematoma but the sac looked great and we even saw the yoke sac so the doc told me to take it easy and that he thinks we will see the heartbeat on Fri. I am so freaked out now. Please anybody have any experience with subchorionic hematomas I would greatly appreciate your stories.

I had a large bleed at 6 weeks with the twins due to a subchorionic hematoma. I took it pretty easy for a few days and it went away. Coincidentally, I had another bleed last night but no obvious SCH this time. Appears to be the common but mysterious "twin bleed" for me. I suspect you will be just fine!

I had a bad one with my first pregnancy from 11 weeks till 26 weeks. Lots of bright red blood. It was terrifying. Everything was fine though, my baby is now four and very healthy. They told me that if I started to have cramping then I should worry but as long as there is no pain it's probably okay. Good luck, try and not worry about it but I know that's almost impossible. I was on restricted activity until the third trimester, no exercise or heavy lifting.

Annashope!!! WOW, it's been a while since I have seen you- HI!

I had a pretty big Subchorionic Hematoma with this pregnancy too. I bled for a good 6 weeks, sometimes buckets, sometimes brown spotting. It ended up resolving on it's own by 11 weeks I believe? It wasn't fun but they are rarely an issue. Hoping you get to see a HB on Friday and congrats on #2!!!!
