storing reconstituted Menopur

Post by leorira11 »

I'm now taking 2.5 vials (75iu) of Menopur. Menopur comes as a power and a liquid that I have to mix together. To get the 0.5 vial, I add 1cc of liquid to the powder, mix, then draw up only 0.5cc of liquid and continue to mix with the other 2 vials.

Is there anyway to save the 0.5 vial that's already mixed? How do I use 0.5 vials without mixing it with liquid (the procedure described above is how my doctor said to measure the 0.5)? I hate to be throwing out 0.5 vial everyday!

Manufacterer's instructions are to discard immediately. That Menopur must be injected within 15 min of mixing. Is that true?

I had a protocol that i only took .5 vials of menopure. I just refrigerated the unused part and used it the next day.
