Ghost - day 8 of stims and e2 dropped?!?

I've been taking 2 vials of Menopur daily for 7 days now for my 4th antanogist cycle.

On Sunday (2 days ago), my e2 was 305 and I had a measureable follicle of 9x8 in one ovary.
I continued 2 Menopur a day and went back today.
Today, there were 4 measureable follicles - 10x10 (x2), 8x9 and 8x8. BUT.... my e2 DROPPED - from 305 to 289!

I don't understand what these means. My doctor says it means they don't really know what's going on. I'm supposed to up my dose to 2.5 vials of Menopur and go back on Friday for another check.

I'm so confused. My other 3 fresh cycles never had anything like this.

Any insight?

The protocol is exactly the same as my last one. My first cycle, I did only Puregon (Follistim - approx 150iu). My second cycle, I did both Puregon and Menopur (about 100iu of Puregon and 1 vial of Menopur). My third cycle I did just Menopur (starting with 2 vials and adding a 3rd halfway through). This time was also supposed to be just Menopur.

I'm so confused.

This is not considered good. Rapidly rising E2 is a marker for follicular development.

Your doctor might cancel the cycle, or he might adjust your dose and check again in a couple of days, and see if it resumes rising.

I really hope this doesn't cancel my cycle - but I'd rather have a cancelled cycle than have poor egg/embryo quality and failed cycles because of it.

Up to your doctor, but he would probably continue you in that case.
