Hi ladies, I'm a bit behind to do personals but I have a big congrats for Ester! I can't wait for pics!

I had an ultrasound at the MFM today and the baby is measuring over 2 weeks ahead (about 2.3 lbs) and he has "a swimming pool" of amniotic fluid. The doctor suspects that A) gestational diabetes, B) the baby just had a big growth spurt, or C) we just have a very big baby. They're going to move up my GD test to next week and do another ultrasound in two weeks. I'm not thrilled, but none of this is a major issue.

Happy Bunny - good luck with the GD test. I found out I had it a couple weeks ago and am struggling a bit trying to keep my numbers down. Hopefully that is not the case for you!

Bright red bleeding. Started last night. It's heavier than the last one but not heavy enough to go to the ER. Will call my doc in 1/2 hour.

Amy - sending you hugs and praying that everything is ok. I don't remember the timeframe for my bleeding but I had bleeding do a few weeks early on. It did turn out to be a subchorionic hematoma and it went away on its own. Hopefully yours is something similar.

Amy: Best wishes for a good report at the doctor. Hopefully, it's just one of those twin bleeds that everyone seems to get.

Thanks for the support. It does appear to be the mysterious twin bleed. No obvious hematoma, babes looked good and my cervix is nice and long. Frustrating to not get a definitive cause but I'm very thankful it seems to have stopped.

Sorry about that, Amy! these bleeds are scary. i am glad the babies are OK.

AFM, doing well. going in for part 2 of my anatomy scan on wednesday. they couldt finish everything in time last week.

I am slowly getting used to the idea of having a girl. for some reason i always thought of myself as a better mom to boys than girls. but after six IVF cycles - who cares what the gender is, right! as long as it is healthy and here!
I am debating whether to go streight for c-section (my DS ended up being a c-section after 20 hours of labor) or attempt a VBAC. i think i am leaning towards a VBAC. my chances of success are 2 in 3 with a VBAC. there is still a 33% chance that it wont work and they will have to do a csection. but at least i tried. i am hoping it will work and then i can pick up my DS right away and not have to worry about 6 weeks of c-section scar healing.

Amy, hope all is well. I'm sure it's going to be okay, must have been nice to see that they were both doing well on the scan.

LYD- I had the same reaction to having boys! I couldn't imagine having anything but girls and now I have two boys coming. I'm thrilled just to have healthy babies, but it took me a while to get my mind around it.

Happy- any word on the GD? I thought I had it since my babies were so big, but turns out i don't. Good luck.

I went into L and D today to check since one of my babies wasn't moving much. All is well though. Looks like I have to have a c section though. Baby B is still breech and I don't want to risk anything happening to him. I am sceduled for May 29th. Five weeks to go!

Happy Bunny- so funny how our pregnancies have been so alike!

So I have lots of amniotic fluid too! I am 28 weeks but measuring at 34 weeks via fundal height. We measured Landon and he is measuring 2 weeks ahead which led him to believe the same things- GD, Big baby, etc. I flunked my 1 hour glucose Friday and have a 3 hour on Saturday- fun fun!

Just wanted to say hi to everybody. I read this board but between work and having the 3rd trimester tiredness I am beat by 7pm =[

Jen: We do seem to be pregnancy twins!

I actually passed my 1 hour GD test but showed enough of an elevation that they still want me to take the 3 hour test. I'm less than excited about the 3 hour test but if it gives us more information about why Mr. Baby is so big, I'm up for it.

H ladies, I'm having the opposite issue. My girl seems on the small size. 30% in sleg and abnomen size and 12% in head size from what I could tell on the us machine today. I am waiting for the doc to call me. My first DS was over 50% so I never head to worry about it.

Hi everyone

Had another growth scan and both babies are measuring close to 4lbs which seems pretty much on track maybe a little bit larger than average, although the ultrasound tech says to give or take 1/2 lb!

GD stinks! My fasting numbers are always between 100 and 110 so tomorrow I might have to start medication tomorrow - boo! I'm so tired of brown rice, veggies and eggs, and chicken. The first thing I am having after the babies are born is a big stack of pancakes with syrup! I hope you ladies pass your 3 hr test.

Tuffy - I think you are next to go on this board! I won't be far behind you. Can't believe this is the home stretch!

Lyd - congrats on the little lady - are the dr concerned about her smaller size?

Jen - can't believe you are already in your 3rd trimester - I'm only a few weeks behind you so I better hurry up and get more done now before I lose my energy! Good luck with your 3 hr test.

AFM - Big week for us! We hit 24 weeks on Wed - so relieved to pass that viability milestone!!! I also had another US and dr appt on Monday - the babies are all growing well. Smallest (girl) is 1lb 2oz, largest boy is 1lb 6oz and the other boy is right in the middle of the two at 1lb 4 oz. They did another cervix measurement as well and it was around 4.8 cm so they are very happy that everything is continuing to look good. I have my 1 hr glucose test at my next appt on 5/7.
