Leora- I always stim on the slow side but this time I went faster. It is crazy how it changes from cycle to cycle. I am happy to see you back on track!

Georgia- Welcome to our wonderful group :D :D

kynlee- are you doing a fresh or frozen cycle? I am so sleepy my mind is so foggy.

to_have_fun08- We are going to put 2 of my best ones in & one of the donors. My embies always seem to be fragmented so that is the way we decided to go this time. We can't afford genetic testing so we just go by the grades. I hope your scope goes well & you are tough to want it without the drugs.

Hopethisworks- BIG CONGRATS!!!!! GREAT BETA #

Margi- So glad you pop in & crash on us. It is wonderful to see you are doing so well.

Sunshine1576- It sounds like everything is working out for you & your DH

Ninde- I hope you are feeling better.

Lauren319- I feel for you on the PIO shots. I will be starting mine this week so we can complain about our sore a** together!!LOL

AFM: Sorry trying to catch up from the weekend as many of you know I work 3rd shift at the hospital & it is always crazy!! MY ER is tomorrow at 9:45a.m!!!!!!! The donor is Wednesday so my DH has to go up to bat twice..lol I am excited & nervous but my scan this weekend was great & my E2 level is over 1000 which has never happened so my RE said this is my best response yet. who knows maybe our embies won't fragment this time but if they do we have a back up. The nurse swears the donor could be my sister. I feel like a bloated blowfish and I only have 7 follicles as of Saturday. They said the donor has like 30 I bet she is feeling worse than I am. Anyways, I will quit rambling I do that when I am tired. I will post tomorrow after ER if I am able. Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!!!

Leora- Glad things are better with your levels. Maybe having this cycle completely different is a good thing :) So excited for you it gives me chills!!

Amanda- Good luck tomorrow!

DH's orders are back and all is good!! The waiver is signed and it's official now!! Funny because when he told me this a month ago it was like any old day and we ended mad and each other because he had to work late that night and we couldn't celebrate lol. It ended up not really being official so I guess that's why. Funny how things happen. However finding it out just now made me tear up. So happy! NOW I can look forward to things. He had to be in at 3pm and gets off at 11 tonight but he is off tomorrow so we can. Now I can tell my Mom how close we thought it wasn't happening lol.

Next step wait for his orders to be made (hopefully that isn't too long which it SHOULDN'T) because only then can he start his VA appointments and see how much he'll get for disability. We are hoping for 50% because less than that it is only off of taxes, but if that or more it's a separate check AND he doesn't have to depend on a second job as much. We shall see. Just so glad this part is DONE! It is a huge relief! Now he can start resumes and see how that goes. He'd like to start a job in Jan. That gives him a good two months break between jobs, which would be really nice for all of us but especially him.

CRASHING!

Hi All... it's been forever since I've posted it seems. I do read every now and then though.

Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone cycling the very best of luck and say hello to many of my old cycle buddies: Sunshine, Leora, Amanda, Lauren319, and Chris.

Big congrats to all the BFP's. Annashope -- Wow... so happy Paul will be a big brother soon.

Lauren319 -- you crack me up girl. I've got everything crossed for you this time around. The PIO shots will all be worth it!

Leora -- Your ER is coming up soon! You'll be preggo before you know it, this time for a full 9 months.

Antonia -- I think of you often sweetie. Your optimism is so contagious. Your miracle baby is coming soon. It's your turn.

Everyone else -- Good luck!

I think about it, but I'm not sure I could get back on the IVF rollercoaster. It took us 2 years and 6 transfers to get the one we've got. All out of pocket expenses too. How bad is it to only have one?

Anticipation is for the birds...While I feel like we have some time to figure everything out, more then ever perplexed about dh's job. While we're grateful dh's contract is being renewed for one more year, he is still ticked off that they didn't give him tenure. The main thing they told him was his retention rate was too high, of the 80 classes he's taught in the last 4 years, alot were online classes and most of the students who could not read/write dropped out, so we don't feel anything was assessed fairly. Dh said while anyone can be "let-go" AT WILL, he said many before him would be given one year so they can get on their feet, but this new dean didn't see it this way. We feel he must of had alot of pressure from the others to change his mind. So it may seem that dh should be grateful to have one more year, but he has mixed emotions right now and so do I. We don't know what next year will bring us but I have to move forward while I can and not worry about all the uncertainty. In the meantime dh is given a year to research jobs and go on countless interviews to figure out his next step after this year is up. But he still wants us to focus on the IVF and I'm glad for that, July cannot possibly get here soon enough. I had told my boss I would interview with the DM on 5/10 for the Asst manager job. Deep down I don't know how I'll balance everything but my job here has more flexibility and I know it will help us financially to have f/t benefits. I'm in a fog right now with sleep deprievation, but I'll be back to post personals in a bit. :)

Hi Ladies,

Julia- Congrats! I'm so excited your u/s turned out so well and your little one is already a high achiever.

Lauren319- I busted up reading your post! OMG! Too funny. I'm sorry you have to take so much progesterone. I think I would go insane. Definitely make sure to rub the spots after injecting the PIO. I always end up with painful knots at the injection site.

Patricia- I'm glad you got some meds for your throat. Mine is much better. My voice is a bit off but overall I'm feeling well. I had to sleep a lot Friday and Saturday and took it easy Saturday. We had to do our long run yesterday but I did well and felt fine for it. I just have a lot of sinus drainage.

Christy- I'm sorry that you guys are having so much craziness with the job stuff. I am glad that your dh has lots of time to research other teaching jobs. That kind of thing can take a while to research and get in on.

Gina- Yay! I'm glad things are finally solid and approved.

Amanda- Good luck!

Globe- How are you feeling?

Anton- Thank you for the birthday wishes. The video was cute.

Leora- I'm happy your follies are growing now.

LauraN- Thinking of you.

AFM- Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was nice and low key. A co-worker had 4 groupons that were going to expire and I was able to claim them first. So we got free tickets to the zoo. We took our good friends with us. Then we went out for Mexican food. It was good. Saturday was my actual birthday. I was pretty sick but we managed to go shopping. I got 2 new pair of jeans. It was a great shopping trip. Usually I go psycho while jean shopping because of all of the size issues, etc. You ladies know what I mean. But, I got lucky and got some on the first try. We then went to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner.

Our race is next weekend so this was our last training weekend. I ran 10 miles and dh ran 20. My run was successful. My right foot gets really tight because I sprained my ankle last summer. I have to work hard to stretch it out. I'm excited for the run. The weather looks like it is going to be wonderful.

I'm pretty tired today. Thankfully the kids are doing their state testing this week so that means I get a pretty easy week this week. Next week I get my supervisory visit. Woohoo.

Blueeyed- I can't run for my life, so needless to say, I'm super proud of you.

Julia - YAY!!!

Ninde - Blech. I'm sorry about your throat. I hope the antibiotics help.

Christy - I'm so sorry you and DH are going through the job crap, but you're so bold and awesome and got him a whole year to figure this shit out. This will all work out for the best.

Lou- oh how I miss you!

Leora - It's so gonna happen this time for you. It has to.

Amanda - Good luck!!!

Gina - such good news!

Globe - I would guess twins :)

AFM - I'm glad you all find me funny. I'm not feeling so funny. I can't sleep on my sides and I've only had 3 days of these shots. What am I supposed to do after like the 52nd shot? You guys have done this before?? This is cycle 6 and the first time I've been subjected to this. This is cruel and unusual. Also, is it the Estrogen and Progesterone making me as big as a whale or am I just depressed and eating more cause it's pretty gross? And I'm super sick of whatever is going on with this stomach-hanging-over-pants-thing.

Globetrotter - do you have a date for an u/s yet? How far along will you be?

Lauren - new clinic? new protocol? Why do they think the PIO will work better than the suppositories for you? (Research shows that they work equally well - the difference is that PIO can be measured in your blood tests, but suppositories can't be)

Amanda - GOOD LUCK TODAY! How many eggs did you get? How does it work with a donor at the same time? Is she also doing her ER today? If so, how did they organize that? If not, aren't the embryos a different age? You transferred embryos at different stages?

Gina - don't get too excited for me... odds are not in my favor (about 35% chance of pregnancy)...

Lou - hi! you are welcome to crash. Crazy that I'm *still* doing this, huh? #2 is a hard question, but I don't have any answers.

Christy - good luck with the interview next week. I hope that whatever happens with your job and your husband's job, that you both end up happy with it.

Patricia - hope you are feeling better! Lots of people are sick, maybe it's the weather.

Julia - yay! That's great news! you are 2/3 through the first trimester!

Nicole - I'm glad you had a good birthday. Congrats on finding jeans! That always sucks. I also hate bra shopping, but I need new ones. Ugh. Good luck at the race this week, and feel better!

AFM - yayayayaay! Follicles grew to 13-17mm (trigger at about 20mm) and e2 is up to 1600 - which is great, but also not too high! YAY!

RE says to do another 2 days of the same (3 Menopur and Ganirelix) and go back on Thursday. He says ER on either Sunday or Monday!

Leora I am so glad things went well this morning :)

Julia yay on an awesome ultrasound :) How are you feeling? I have constant morning sickness now do you have that?

Lauren319 as everyone said...you are so funny. Yea I also used an ice pack for 10 mins before the pio and used the numbing cream and after would sit on a heating pad and massage the area

Blue how are you? my husband and son ran a 5k this Sunday and I wanted to join them so bad...but in due time I will I just have to focus on what I am doing now. When will you cycle again?

Globe and hope how are you ladies? anything new? when are the ultrasounds?

Sunshine so when is your cycle starting now that things are back on track? I understand about your husband's want to search for another job....its so hard to get tenure nowadays...honestly that is why I was teaching in schools even though my passion is to teach at a university level...the money is just not there and I know what you mean about students not being able to read or write I just can't believe that the college does not test the students anymore  How are we supposed to teach them History if they can't even really read...grrr anyways...touchy subject

Amanda good luck...let us know how it goes

Louthanks for the congrats...I am still in shock that this worked but getting used to the idea now. I don't think its bad having just one. My older son was an only for 11 years and was spoiled rotten :) in a good way. We took him everywhere...on cruises, trips....he watched all our evening shows with us (24, lost etc) and we were at EVER sport practice and game. One difficulty was that since he had no sibling to play with...and he needed a lot of attention then either DH or I were that "little brother or sister" we rarely got to just be the two of us because we felt bad that he might be lonely... but with Paul being 11 years younger he pretty much still is an only child but now its easier..he goes to friend's houses sometimes and stuff. I think only children do great but just be ready to shower Chloe with constant attention which I am sure you won't mind :) :) For us the decision was rather personal...we wanted a big family and were not sure if it was even possible after my cancer and DH infertility but we believe in miracles :)

Ninde I hope you feel better soon. Sore throats are terrible!! Are you sure its not strep? are you on antibiotics?

Antonia I love reading your posts you are such a positive person. I am so sorry you are having to go through this but you will have a baby keep up the faith? When do you cycle next?

sorry for anyone I am missing..morning/all day sickness is pretty bad now so please forgive me if I am mia from time to time. Nothing else new...Next ultrasound Fri May 4th
