Kynlee - Thanks for your reply. I emailed them about 30mins ago...
No the needles don't hurt.. I like going as well... He puts all the needles in and I usually fall alseep for 30mins then he takes them all out and he then massages my feet, stomach and hands! Since I started going I sleep soooooo good! My husband said I have been snoring so bad (which I really never snored) I'm like cause I'm getting such good sleep! I hope it's not the combo of both because I love going!
Good Luck to ALL!

Kynlee, that's really strange. I've done lupron and acupuncture, along with many friends, and have never heard of that. I'm very curious as to what you find out.

hey guys just a quick update. we have a total of 7. The donor went yesterday too so they just the sample from DH for both of ours. They got 10 from her but only 4 fertilized and out of my 5, 3 of mine fertilized. It is funny that percentage wise mine is better. Anyways still excited about the 7 :) :) Thank you all for the kind words. I will do personals later I need to get ready for date night with DH.

Hi ladies

I posted on my Tablet and then the internet connection went down! Grrr, so here are the personals again!

Anton: I love reading your posts. I really hope you get one of those jobs - you really deserve it. And I'm glad you got to spend some time with DH. I havn't seen 'Shame' yet but I will - the lead, Michael Fassbender, is both gorgeous and Irish :D If you havn't seen the Hunger Games yet I would recommend that.

Christy: Oh I loved your embarrassed face in your post to Antonia :)

Cyn: I have had some of those reactions to accupunture in that I have had bleeding from the sites, redness at the needle sites, I've fainted once during it and I've had times when the needles wouldn't go in. This has happened with different accupuncturists and on they have both said it has happened when my chi is low. If you are feeling weak I would recommend you call your accupuncturist before your nurse and he really should see you again if you can't make a fist.

Nicole: How are you?

Amanda: Oh wow - thats fantastic, 7 :) Yay. So what are next steps? Your ovaries clearly thought they were far superior to your donor and showed it

Maria: How are you doing?

Leora: How is everything with you?

Julia: How are you feeling?

Anna'shope: has the sickness eased today at all?

Lauren319: Thank you. And how are you feeling?

Afm: Speaking of accupuncturists - I'm changing mine. She texted and asked how the cycle had gone, I replied telling her it was a negative and she came back with "chin up". Seriously - they were her words of wisdom as a speciality fertility accupuncturist?!!! But that was better than a friend of mine who is 15 weeks pregnant and who told me that if we don't have children we will realise "its meant to be". Easy to say when you are 15 weeks pregnant eh? I gave her the opportunity to realise that was a little insensitive after my miscarriage and failed cycle but she dug her heels in. I honestly am a very reasonable person and I believe friends should be able to say whats on their mind and give their opinion even when its different to ours but I also think that friends should be supportive and frankly I don't believe she was being supportive. It may be her personal philosophy but there comes as time that even when you are being well-intentioned that you realise that what you are saying might really hurt someone - particularly someone who is grieving. So you weigh up if your opinion is going to hurt or help and if its going to hurt thats when we should keep our mouth shut or at least wait until the person is in a better space to have a philosopical conversation about it. I don't believe its meant to be - I believe that might indeed happen - but I do not and will not believe that that is supposed to be. So as far as I'm concerned we are done, I'm just not going to take this kind of rubbish anymore.

Other than that my throat is still crap but at least I slept last night, yay :D

Oh that's aggravating...typed out personals and the stupid gremlins ate it.

Cyn-i'm sorry you're having this reaction. I did lupron and acupuncture and had nothing like that happen. I hope you get some answers!

Amanda-great news on the eggs! How are you feeling? Date night sounds great!

Anton-I just love you and your posts! I love your upbeat attitude and outlook. Thank you for sharing with us!

Christy-how are you? Are you getting excited to cycle? How is Dh?

Leora-what's up? You ok?

Patricia-we must have posted at the same time. My Skype is acting up too, I messaged you Monday or something and it shows as pending...i'm doing well thanks. Had some spotting today after having none for days so that was aggravating. But I managed to get another ultrasound out of them for this Friday, hehe. I'm eating food they say is good for pregnancy and don't know who i've become! I hate salmon but am making it for dinner! I'm glad to hear you're sleeping better, I think you need to have a stern talk with that stubborn throat of yours!

Soon as I catch up, I get behind.....I need a briefing! :)

200 days to go!

Today was horrible. This whole week aside from retirement news has been horrible. Friday-Sat was great. DS had a friend that didn't want to leave lol, so he stayed both nights and all day Sat and most of Sunday. We went swimming (indoor pool here) and that afternoon he got a fever. It got to 102 and then it was up and down from there. Monday morning it was gone but we took him to the Doctors. They have him a couple things to help. Well soon as we get home, a fever but it wasn't as high. So he was out from school that Monday and Tuesday because they want the fever gone 24hrs.

He felt a lot better towards last night and this morning. DH and I went off for a bit and he called with a nose bleed. He gets them often so we rushed home...I was so over the nose issues so we took him to the ER. Sometimes the ones that help are just worthless. So we were sent home with nothing to help, just Tylenol for his cold because it doesn't contain Asprin and she was thinking the cold was the issue. It wasn't because it's been going off and on for 7 yrs! So we went home. All was fine for about an hr........then it hit again. It was BAD! He was so afraid he would die and kept saying he loved us. He was so pale and weak. His heart rate was 117 but maybe that was "normal" for what was going on. So he slept a little while there with one of their blankets warmed up. The Doctor couldn't believe how the ones on the other side of the ER were. He put something to stop the bleeding and tried getting us an appointment with the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist) but no one answered, so he sent a request and we call in the morning and he will probably be seen there. So no school possibly the rest of the week. May let him go for his honor roll award Friday afternoon.

It's really scary and seeing him like that and scared himself was hard. I know if they have to burn the vessel it won't feel good, but it will be just a few seconds. Just don't want any more of those to happen. If they happened during our 10 hr flight that would be bad! He went through 5 towels today it was so heavy.

blueeyedreamer wrote:We've talked a bit about this before, but wanted to revisit it. What have you done to improve egg quality and sperm quality? Dh is fine but it couldn't hurt to enhance the quality. I produced nicely. We got 14 eggs (1 on the left and 13 on the right), 9 were mature and all fertilized. We ended up with 5 that made it to blast. None of them made it to a viable pg.

I want to get started on supplementing, etc as we prepare for our next round in the summer.
I forgot the exct names but DH took clomid (half a pill) for a out a month before we went in and a slew of other supplements (super antioxidant from vitamin shoppe, coq10, pycnogenol 200mg a day, multivitamin). He has been taking al but comic for almost a year now and the count is up over 300%!!!

I was on menapour (name?) for about a month before starting injections along with some prenatal vitamin, frolic acid, vitamin e.

Hope this helps!!!

HopeThisWorks - WOOOHOO! Great News!!

Gina - Holy crap that's scary. I'm so sorry. Is everything ok now? (Obvi you won't know more until after you see the ENT, but is everyone at least feeling better?)

Ninde - Thanks for asking. I actually feel like crap, but hoping it's worth it. As for your "friend," UGH. I can't take people who give me advice or "words of wisdom" with no regard for what I've been through and frankly, no empathy. **** her, dude.

Cyn - Oof. I've never had this happen. I'm so sorry I can't help, but just wanted to write to tell you to feel better :(

Anton - you're adorable....and very busy.

Amanda - Sounds like a great number!!

AFM - TOMORROW!

Lauren- Thank you. We are a bit better this morning. His cough is horrible though. Just called the ENT and the only Dr they have is in surgery so they have to call back when he's out. We just can't go through that again today/today so I hope he can be seen today. I have some stuff to use in case it starts, but it was put it after it pretty much stopped last night. His nose is a mess this morning but we aren't even touching it, the Dr can clean it up so he's there if it bleeds. Feeling rested this morning at least.

Anna - sorry about morning sickness (that sucks!) but it's a great sign! When is your next scan? Feeling relaxed or stressed? How's the SCH? Any more bleeding?

Nicole - I've also thought about writing a book about our experiences -- but maybe later in life when I have a better long-term perspective on things. I'll look up that book - sounds interesting.

Amanda - YAY! That's so great! Do they know why the donor didn't have such a great response? Is it her first IVF? Does she get eggs from this round, or they are all for you? We talked about how we would afford this if we were in the USA - and we talked about shared risk (like Christy is doing) or doing half-donating cycles, like you're doing. Good luck! Will you try for a day 5 transfer?

Patricia - hope you are feeling better.

Lauren - today is Thursday! Good luck at transfer!

HopeThisWorksM - YAY! only a week until your scan! How far along will you be?

Antonia, Christy, Gina --Busy at work and no time to read your long posts now - but when I get home I will! At the end of the month, we do all the billing -- so I'm even busier at the beginning of the month -- FILING ALL THE DARN PAPERWORK! :D

AFM - Sorry I've been MIA -- I've been super super stressed. I was waiting anxiously for today's results... which are.... lukewarm. E2 is up to 3000 (which is good) but follicles seem to have stalled in growth. We have a 20, a 18 a 16 - and lots of 10s and 11s - which are too small. I go for another u/s tomorrow (no blood tests on Friday). I was really excited to do ER on Sun or Mon, but now I don't know when it'll be. UGGGHHH.

I'm feeling so stressed and so hormonal -- someone played a harmless joke on me at work (he pretended to be someone else on the phone -- I didn't catch on for a while, and everyone else was laughing) and that make me break down and cry. He's a really nice guy and he was just doing it to be funny (he thought I would realize it was him talking with an accent) but I'm just so distracted and stressed that I can't handle that.

Hoping for good news tomorrow....

Gina- sounds like you played nurse mom all week, I gathered it was your son's friend from school? I hope his fever continues to go down, the cough gets better and as for the nose bleeds my friend's little girl gets nose bleeds all the time. Instead of soaking up towels she takes a tampon, cuts the string off and cuts it into four pieces and she keeps a bag of them on hand. She said it's so much cheaper and efficient then cotton balls...but i don't know if I would explain all this to a little boy. Anyway I hope you get him in to see a doctor and get him treated today. Keep us posted.

Leora- Oh the craziness with hormones, all of us would of reacted the same way. I cannot even watch a sentimental commerical on TV when I'm on fertility drugs without bailing. (Especially the Maxwell coffee ones!)

HopeThisWorks- I couldn't be more excited something is definately cooking in there! Cannot wait to see us pictures, did you say there are two heartbeats?

AFM: nothing new, just planning our next cookout with some friends. Debating if I wnat to buy another patio table b/c I always borrow the neighbor's set to have enough sitting area and now they live 5 minutes down the street and it's a glass top table. But they didn't seem to mind too much last time and it might be our last big party esp if we have to move next year. Treatment starts soon so I will be saving up anyway for that. lol I just answered my own question. Anyway I'm getting ready for work so I'll check back later on you ladies tonight, Have A Great Day!

Leorira, hang in there. Hoping for good news from you tomorrow!

Sunshine1576 - Didn't see any hb's yet because I didnt have a US yet :) Currently at 19 days post a 2 day transfer. The US will be at 4 weeks after ER. I dont think I would see a heartbeat then either, maybe at 5 or 6 weeks post retrieval?

Side note, is 4 weeks from ER same as 4 weeks pregnant or is it like 6 weeks pregnant form LMP?
