stillllll stimming! Ghost

This is the longest stimming cycle I've ever had.

I started 2 Menopur on Cd2 -- and that was 2.5 weeks ago!

After 7 doses of 2 vials, my doctor upped the dose to 2.5 vials. After 3 doses at 2.5 vials, I was upped to 3 vials and added Ganirelix.

Now today will be my 7th dose at 3 vials -- and I'm supposed to do this today and tomorrow and go back on Sunday for another bw/us check! My e2 was a smidge over 3000.

I have 3 big follicles (21, 19 and 17mm) and about 15 smaller ones. The big ones have been growing -- but the small ones were 10-12mm last week and STILL 10-12 mm.

I've never had this happen before. This is my 4th fresh cycle.

Why would this happen? I'm on the same dosage I was last time. (The first cycle I did only Puregon, the second cycle I did Puregon and Menopur and the last cycle I did only Menopur just like this one!)

What does this mean about egg/embryo quality?

I'm so frustrated! Is this normal in an antagonist cycle? Should we cancel and try again? Or do a ER, planning to get only the 3 big ones?

Leorira, honestly your situation sounds similliar to mine in that we only had 3 decent looking follies and some smaller ones in the 10-12 range. We asked the doctor about cancelling the cycle but ended up not doing that. Now we didnt stim as long as you so I don't know how that plays into it. I speak to you on the other thread so you know how everything turned out with me so far, 9 retrieved, 7 fert, 3 xfer, BFP. Looking back now Im glad we didnt abort this cycle but I don't know what the long stimming can actually mean...

I was a poor & slow responder with my cycles and asked ghost this question. I believe that it is fine to stim as long as necessary if you do a freeze all cycle. Once you stim too long the endometrium is not receptive to a pregnancy. Good luck! It took me a 23 week loss and a million failed/cancelled cycles to get my 2 miracles!
